i mean that is true.
The amount of times he said that
No! You don't understand.
"You need to see a therapist"
"You need to listen to Radiohead"
that was the funniest part lmaoooo

"That album is entry level"
it's true :)))))
Aldin Not going to lie I think I've said that before when talking about Radiohead
What does ''entry level'' mean? I'm Spanish hahaha
Nintendonix means average
Means that it's an album for beginners to listen to. People who don't know Radiohead very well. Isn't as "deep" as their other stuff.
No, you don't understand.
I wish King Crimson was water so I can drink them and have them inside of me.
And then Pink Floyd's, The Velvet Underground's... And Daniel Johnston's after a long etcetera.
he really dont
Pedro Schmitz I agree
As a Radiohead fan I can confirm we are obsessed like this lmao
Yeah it took me a little while to finally "get" their music but now they are one of my favorite bands. They are literally the only band I have been listening to for weeks now.
@@citizenerased174 same man. I mostly listen to rap, but then i heard radiohead’s stuff and i was blown away. I heard creep and I was like how tf could they have anything better than this lmao but that shit is fr entry level. Now I’m trying to go thru their entire discogrophy, currently halfway thru hail to the thief. But no other artist except kendrick lamar has overwhelmed me with how consistently good and creative they can be

lol i'm a huge fan of both radiohead and depeche mode, but they're both unique in their greatness, it's impossible for me to say one is better than the other, a moon shaped pool and spirit are both great albums
The first 50 seconds sounded exactly like a conservation I had with someone who said they thought Radiohead were alright. This is the first time I've realised I'm a stereotypical Radiohead fan
I'm like this too. When I mention Radiohead to someone and they're like.. "Aye they're ok. I've heard a couple of songs"... And I just think... "You heard a couple of songs and liked them, and that didn't inspire you to immediately look up every song they've ever done and completely immerse yourself into listening to Radiohead? Da fuq??"
Me too, I don't know how to feel
This is literally me
This could be a copypasta.

I didn't know Jarvis Cocker was a Radiohead fanboy
His religious devotion to Radiohead is what caused Pulp to split up. Cocker originally wanted to call their last album "We Love Thom Yorke", but his band members and manager strongly disagreed. He was fine with "We Love Life", because as far as he is concerned, Thom Yorke is life, so it worked for him.

Nice
My first radiohead song was Weird fishes and it completely changed my life, I proceeded to then put the whole discography on my ipod back in da days, hoping to discover another song like weird fishes. My initial impression was that it was a bit weird and I didn’t really dig most of it. But I still kept the discography in my library, and every once in a while, while on shuffle, doing my own thing, a random song would play that came when I was at the right place, at the right time, in the right mood, and I’d be like “woah, what is this song?? And I’d check and it would be a Radiohead song that I had previously dismissed. Rinse and repeat three years later and I had pretty much learned how to appreciate almost every single track of theirs, I had unlocked their enigma, it clicked in me, each song at a different level. That was when I realized their absolute genius. I ended up liking almost every single song of theirs that I was initially convinced would never like. And one of my guesses is Radiohead’s incredibly deep and creative sound design, they were so ahead of their time that they were actually just teaching us what music could be, pushing its limits. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve come across contemporary music elsewhere and hear something that Radiohead was already exploring ahead of them. Like, I’ve been a fan for 13 years now, and even now I’m discovering new songs I thought I’d never like, now from some of their random EPs. Even though I don’t listen to them religiously anymore and I’ve moved on to new things that have passed Radiohead in terms groundbreaking and original soundscapes, I still just don’t know any other contemporary artists right now that’s done what Radiohead’s done with music and constantly evolving into something new and different and actually be successful at it. You have people that are going to listen to the same 10 songs (even when it’s a different song, it still just sounds the same) for their rest of their lives, and then you have Radiohead, who you can trust will introduce something new, fresh and audacious. It’s music that challenges. I am convinced now that there is a good reason behind why they did something and that even if I don’g get it, I just need to be patient, it will one day speak to me and I’ll eventually get it and I’ll further grown my understanding of how to appreciate things in that process. There are just so many bands and types of music that I would have never learned to appreciate if it wasn’t for Radiohead’s music that challenged me. Man, EVEN their album cover arts were challenging! They are just so incredibly precious to so many people and you just--you don’t understand.
There’s no way of explaining the experience you get from radiohead until you actually dive deep in their music. All you can really say to someone who doesn’t like them or hasn’t heard them yet is “you just don’t understand”
Thank you for sharing Ashutosh, my initial experience with Radiohead was very similar and they too opened my eyes to more bands and a different way of listening to music.
Like a lot of people, Creep introduced me to the band, then I listened to My Iron Lung. I looked at their most popular songs and on top at the time at Spotify was Fake Plastic Trees. I didn't understand it at all, didn't get the message. I just remember not liking how it sounded, and I hated the mv the first time I saw it because it was just so freaking bright and it hurts my eyes.
Few months later I heard their songs played in Peaky Blinders. The first song that I loved was Climbing Up the Walls and it went on from there. Listening to the band a second time around with a more open mind and an examining curiousity of the inspiration behind their art allowed me to embrace their magic. Now I can't imagine not loving Radiohead. They're my top Spotify artist now, which I wouldn't have imagined 4 years ago.
My first album was tkol
For me, it was hearing Creep for the first time on a compilation CD. I'd never heard music like it. I loaned the CD to my Uncle, who then went and bought OK Computer and loaned that to me. So OK Computer was my first album of theirs, then I went back to The Bends and Pablo Honey.
I remember the first time I heard a few tracks from Kid A on a radio show, my friend and I were like "What is this shit? They've lost their way". We went on holiday a bunch of us, that year, as we'd just left school. My friend and I would take turns, between going out drinking at the clubs and staying home smoking weed listening to the Kid A tracks.
I remember one time, I was stoned out of my mind and really got into them and listened several times. When my friend came back I was like "There's extra songs, man! There's songs on THAT tape that weren't there before and they're AMAZING!!!". Just from having my appreciation of the music unlocked, it was like listening to whole different songs, than what we heard on those initial listens.
The next song that really threw me like that was Cuttooth. When I heard that, it blew me away that music could sound like that.
After that it was The Butcher, another song that blew me away by Radiohead.
That being said... I recommend you try the band Grandaddy. They have a lot of songs that come from a similar place to Radiohead. The thing with Radiohead is their quality control is so fucking high and Grandaddy are like that too.

Radiohead actually is the best. They're not a religion or anything, but they're one of the greatest things to happen to music, ever. To those who really, really get Radiohead and their music, it's actually one of the greatest things found in life.
they have some very good albums, they have some very shit albums
even their best ones (kid a, okc) aren't amazing they're just very good
***** "no rock band had ever created such a strange yet coherent mix of styles like Radiohead did on Kid A"
Velvet Underground, Can and Gong (to name just a few) have done what Radiohead did on Kid A (sans electronic influences) 30 years earlier
If you come across a really spectacular and complex semi-unique piece of art and your first instinct is to claim they ripped someone else off, then you're doing something very, very wrong.
***** i'm not saying theyre a ripoff im saying there are far better examples of experimental rock that mixes a lot of styles
***** That was a very well-phrased disagreement, to a point where you sound like you actually know what you're talking about and not just trying to sound edgy and different. So be it.

This morning, I sat in my room, on my bed, watching live versions of Radiohead songs, and literally cried watching them play Let Down, True Love Waits, and Nude. The level of emotion I felt just can't be explained. Maybe it's Thom's voice, roaring and cracking with emotion. Maybe it's Jonny's simple but beautiful guitar solos lighting up the stage. Maybe it's Philip's drumming. I don't know, but it's beautiful.
It can get difficult to love a band when everyone is screaming at you just how overrated they are. Sometimes, I find myself questioning whether I really do love them as much as I do when I see so much negativity. Whether they really are my favourite band or not. But it's times like this morning where I feel so grateful, so glad, and so sure that Radiohead are my favourite band. I don't care that they're not the most technically proficient. I don't care that their songs are "boring". I don't care that their "songs sound weird", and I don't care that they only write emotional and dramatic songs. I. Don't. Care. Nothing else in the world makes me feel just as much as they do. Can I really be judged for that?
From now on, when I see hate, when I see people shitting on their fans, I'll no longer feel anger. I'll just feel sadness and pity for the people that act as such. Sadness that they are so toxic and feel the need to hate so strongly. Pity that they'll never experience Radiohead in the way that I, and millions of others, do. I know people hate it when others say "you just don't understand", especially when it comes to music. But I'm gonna say it. They just don't understand. And, from now on, that's ok with me.
/s
I used to watch this video and laugh at it. now I watch it and I realize I am unironically the guy in glasses
Take a shot every time he says “I love Radiohead”
I saw this before I started listening to Radiohead, and looking at comments from their fans and stuff I thought it was spot on and ridiculous. But now its almost a year later, Radiohead are my favourite band and I can relate to everything this guy is saying haha. True story
10 years later u better still be listening
I couldn't stop myself from rolling my eyes and getting frustrated every time the blonde guy said, "They are a good band," and then proceeded to think all of the things the Radiohead fan was saying. I've had this conversation in real life, and he's right... The guy just doesn't understand Radiohead. 🤷🏽♂️
"That album is entry level" the hypocrisy of this man
Man I genuinely do love Radiohead, but Radiohead fans are the worst.
Tom Yourke is the new religion.
@preoccupied_ Me too, I apreciate the band members but I also recognize that they are flawed individuals and may not be the very best people. But they channel pain and emotion through their music, things that we understand and are able to feel alongside our own. They are people, just like us, and what people have in common is a life that is full of pain and misery. That's what makes Radiohead so good, it's intelligent art made by humans for humans.
I agree completely with this. Much as I love their music, I definitely not deify them or put them on a pedestal the way a lot of fans do in an unhealthy manner. They make art which a lot of us can relate to and connect with. Simple as that.
This is an exaggeration of what I used to be.
They are amazing, but there's a lot of other stuff out there. They're probably the finest band to get into as a gateway to music that is made with a lot of ingenuity and passion.
datshitgray foals, alt j and interpol are great too
datshitgray No, you don't understand. I love Radiohead.
datshitgray exactly
pedro faria Alt-J are okay. Radiohead are on another level with other superior bands, in my opinion.
Please tell me some other bands that you think are great, radiohead are my favourite band but it sounds like you have good music taste so what are some bands you like better than RH? :)
"I should tie you up in a room and make you listen to their entire catalogue, then you would understand how brilliant they are"
"don't be weird"
"King of Limbs will be genius."
*...damn.*
We always start off as the guy on the right, but eventually we all become the guy on the left.
Everyday me
Steven Wilson and David Bowie arguing about Radiohead
This was ahead of its time
Pink Floyd fans
Tool fans
Radiohead fans
Mormons
the rap list is pure controversy i love it haha
As a Pink Floyd and Radiohead fan I can confirm
Well The Bends is pretty entry level.
Entry level? It's a top quality album with quality rock songs all the way through it and ending with Street Spirit (Fade Out)...
David James Brown pleb
Armani Novella Twat!
I have websites to back up my claim... besteveralbums.com or rateyourmusic.com
it’s a good album but still entry level
I hate when people say "entry level" or "normie" just for having a fucking opinion
Fitter Happier More Productive
they are more than just a band...
And I thought that I was the only one who loved them this way. They are the main influence in the misic I make. After reading the other comments I feel now like I'm not crazy... the crazy ones are those that don't get it. Thank you for making this.
10 years ahead of its time.
The radiohead fan should meet a tool fan
Who wouldn’t like to be tied up in a room to listen to radiohead’s entire catalog?
"i wish they were air so that i could breathe them". 'the air that i breathe' anyone?
Those Radiohead fans when your favourite album is ok Computer and not a secret list of them Yorke moaning and screaming into a half broken microphone which you can only find if you perform anal surgery on every band member to find some pieces of paper for a map where you have to decipher the secret location to where the tape is buried 30 feet into the ground. Also the tape is only playable on some device which was only built like three times by some nerdy Swiss guy in 1989.
*king of limbs will be genius*
ok they're geniuses for sure, i love them, definitely my favorite band (hail to the thief is my favorite record of theirs even though nobody likes them) but this should be in a "top 10 people who spoke too soon" compilation
Yeah that makes the video funnier lol
This was so ahead of its time lmao
I think Radiohead is the greatest band because they show humility and are in the search of constant evolution, they bring to the regular people sounds that come from out of space defining a new aesthetic and changing everything inside of you coming from intelligent and precise lyrics to spectacular and geniously assembled songs.
TKOL is overhated ☹️
“There are other good bands”
“No there are not” 💀💀
Who else is watching this two days before the release of lp9?
+Vegan MasterRace That album is entry level. LOL j/k I am re-watching this right now.
“and have them inside of me” thats so real
I am kinda close to this. Lmao.
Since when did you like Radiohead? Ever since you became Mechanic1c?
Jaden Ofori idk
2013
Ok.
How, where and when did you get the name Mechanic Ross?
Jaden Ofori the second part i got in boston on august 9, 1999, and the first part arose at some point within the next 8 years
this is so relevant to every conversation I have with every person I meet.
Me on a daily basis
This video is ahead of its time.
I cannot believe we were outjerked 13 years ago
Radiohead snob in a nutshell:
Casual fan: "OK Computer was a pretty great album. Wouldn't call it this generation's Dark Side of the Moon but it was awesome."
Radiohead snob: "OK Computer is entry level anyways. Kid A is obviously their best album."
Casual fan: "You mean that album with a ton of meandering electronics? It was alright I guess but its too depressing for me."
Radiohead snob: "No you don't understand. This is one of the most important pieces of art ever written by man. You just don't have an open mind to appreciate Thom Yorke's genius.."
Casual fan: " Didn't Thom Yorke write that album, pulling random lyrics out of a fucking hat?"
Radiohead snob: "Idioteque is their best song ever written."
Casual fan: "it's really not but its your opinion I guess."
Radiohead snob: "No you don't understand-"
*Casual fan proceeds to load the chamber of a gun and points it at his own head.*
Fred Harvey Lol! Pretty accurate. I like Radiohead but i would hate to become a snob thinking every single thing they've ever done is pure magnificence.
I don't know why but I think you were the snob, you saw the video, and then you felt stupid
Well, I mean idioteque is their best song but whatever...
the humor was ahead of its time
Am I that crazy fan.
Radio Head is one of my favorite songs
"King of Limbs will be genius"
That line aged like fine milk
Yeah but they delivered with AMSP
You just don't understand them!
"I should tie you up in a room, and make you listen to their entire catalogue". That would actually be a great method of torture for a chav or a homie.
Radiohead is an awesome band and I love their music. They're not the second coming of Jesus, I just really like their music.
You don't understand.
I will tie you up in a room and make you listen to their entire catalogue.
