After watcing this for who knows how many times, I can't believe what the new show runner/ruiner has done to this beautiful story!!! How can anyone buy the Ret Con explanation; or that E actually loved N, a man with whom she never even had a real date?!? I think that I am going to look at sesson 10 as the end of a beautiful movie and imagine how their story will continue. I rarely say never, but ever watching WCTH again feels like one time never might be the right word. I am soooo sad that they ruined one of my all time favorite shows!!!
An Elizabeth/Nathan video just popped up on my main page and gave me the Ick 🥴 so I had to come here to watch Lucas and Elizabeth ♥️ But I gotta say, I went to read the comments on that post and was pleasantly surprised that there was not a single negative comment from any L/E supporters, when I remember nothing but hatefulness and bashing when Elizabeth chose Lucas first 🤷🏻♀️ shows who the classier fans are!
I think probably I'm one of the last holdouts of L/E supporters. Most have become just L supporters, I think. I watch N/E scenes because I don't want to miss the story , but I just ignore N/E videos. I warmed up to E a little in her last scene with L in season 11 (even though what she said about the territory needing him more than ever didn't make much sense). It was the first time all season she seemed to at least acknowledge she had hurt him, but for most of season 11, I found N and E unlikeable, silly, and somewhat lacking in self-awareness, so why watch or comment on something that doesn't interest me and I will just find annoying? I'm not sure this makes me classier, maybe just more disinterested.

Lucas and Elizabeth's relationship was and still is based on respect and admiration for each other - a meeting of minds and souls. When she looks at Lucas, it is with admiration. Nathan and Elizabeth's relationship is based on physical attraction and emotion, as you say passion. Which is true love? I guess we will see. Will something change to make her give her mind to Nathan as well....or will something happen that allows her to love Lucas with all her heart? Based on what I saw in season 11, I'm hopeful that it will eventually be Lucas. Frankly, nothing else makes sense. The only motive the writers gave for Lucas to fight for the future of HV is his love for Elizabeth, which he did all of season 11 with a broken heart. Meanwhile, Nathan was mostly concerned about his own feelings. How can she not love Lucas when he has helped her achieve all her dreams, and has saved her town, and therefore her destiny to teach in Hope Valley?
