Hi Miro and thanks! Loved that you brought out the Lumix 42.5 that wacko 😉 number of a lens. As a MFT shooter I bought the Olympus 60 Macro which is supposed to be the best macro mft lens...but before that I had bought a 10+ close up filter for my 42.5 and while it did not give me 1:1 it did get me rather close and it was cheaper and easier to handle. I find macro challenging for the reasons you say but it is important to be up to the challenges. 👍
Hey! How does the filter lens do? Are the corners sharp? I don't have any experience with this. I have to say though the maro lens is insanely sharp. Nothing gets close to it. I'm really impressed. Cheers!
@@M1R0_Life_through_a_lens the screw on filter lens for the 42.5 I bought has the following on the side rim " Haida Close-up +10 37mm" works like a charm. Again while not true macro maybe about 80-85% of the 1:1 or something like that. I have not noticed soft edges on the images I have taken with it BUT the images are not quite as sharp as otherwise taken with just the 42.5 Since the 42.5 is f1.7 this means there is more light since many true macro lenses are f2.8 or something like that. The screw on lens is chubby, thicker than any ND or CPL filter I have but still small so easy to have with you. Since the close up lens is so small and costs little you might want to try it out?
Hello. There are no cons. Macro lenses are typically sharper. The only thing I can think of is the auto focus. It can be a bit slower. Also note that macro lenses are always prime lenses. Thanks for the comment. Cheers!
Hello. The only good solution is a macro lens 😉 but you could try a de-noise software. I never use those. Also if you can take 5-10 exactly the same photos, then you can de-noise in Photoshop with good results. But it only works if all photos have exactly the same framing and composition so a bee on a flower might be a problem. I have a video on how to reduce noise this way. Thanks for the comment. Cheers!
Hello. The emphasis was on the normal vs macro lens type. On a macro lens you get a 1:1 magnification regardless of what focal length it is. The 24mm in the video is one of the closest lenses to a macro when it comes to magnification and there is still a big difference between the two. A 105mm non-macro lens would have an even smaller magnification ratio so there would be an even bigger difference. Thanks for the comment. Cheers!

Hello. Thanks for the info. Maybe I will and also do a comparison to the macro lens😉. Cheers!
Great video man! Love the vibe, helpful and to the point information. Well done!
Hello. Thanks a lot. Cheers!
Great video. I was wondering why you do not use focus bracketing?
Hello. I do use this a lot just not in this video 😉. Thanks for the comment. Cheers!
Very informative video, I bought 100mm macro to shoot makeup in macro and it has some cons and pros, also very hard to balance it out
Thank you. Like with every macro: lots of light and fast shutter speeds and you're good. Thanks for the comment. Cheers!
How does a macro lens compare to a normal lens of the similar focal lengths under normal non macro conditions? What are the cons of having one? Thanks

same focal length would have been interesting
Yes true. The minimum focus distance would be longer then. Thanks for the comment. Cheers!
The bee was very noisy tho. Is there a way to make these small images less noisy?

Its noisy cause it was cropped
Exactly. Cheers!
comparing a 24 to a 105? lolwut...
