    I used to work at a major London airport. I won’t say which one, but it’s not Heathrow so that gives you a clue. Anyway, In March they sacked everyone on less than 1 years service due to Covid-19. This was the day before the furlough scheme was announced. Despite clear advice from MPs and the Union, they refused to offer furlough to us once the scheme was announced despite it clearly stating those on payroll on 28th feb should be included. They gave us no reason. It would have cost them nothing to put us on the scheme, but they decided not to. I had trained / tested / waited for the job for 7 months, and was at 10 months service, so 17 months of my life was wasted for nothing. I’ve then had to sit and watch everyone I used to work with who had over 1 years service being paid to sit in their hot tubs and have days in the park while trying to tell me we are “all in it together”. I’ve lost all my savings and had to sell my possessions including my car while they’re quids in. And they’re still doing it. On top of that a lot of them have taken on second jobs, meaning the job market where i live is even smaller and I have had to do whatever casual work i can find. I’ve never been so disgusted with my country and have stopped using social media and going into town because it just makes me too angry to be around these absolute scroungers. I can’t wait for everyone else to lose their jobs and home and end up in my position. They’ll expect everyone to listen then, but it’s already too late.

      You can't blame everyone else for enjoying a break from being work slaves to cover bills mate. The other workers didn't have a choice it is the bosses you should be angry with. You would have done the same thing if you were over 12 months. I understand its crap to be in your position but having that attitude will drag you down further trust me I have been there a couple of years ago and went into depression and hated the world. There must be somewhere to get financial help in your situation, don't be ashamed asking for benefits when you need them. That's why you have paid Tax an NI for however long.

    • @cromwellg60
      @cromwellg60 3 года назад

      Purse Saving Deals I understand what you’re saying, and to clarify I’m not angry at the people I used to work with for accepting furlough, I’m angry at those who do not want to go back to work when all I want is to do a days work for a days pay. Had I been furloughed I’d still be campaigning to go back to work. I don’t see anybody doing that, instead they have this “in it together” attitude, especially towards my plight they seem to think we are all in the same boat and are bleating on about it being necessary but will change their tune as soon as they’re forced into my position. They will expect someone to care when it’s them. Realistically they are not being incentivised to go back to work. Benefits wise I’m not eligible for anything but JSA because my partner works full time, but we are not married and she can not afford to sustain both of us. We were barely covering the rent when I was working.

    • @pursesavingdeals8048
      @pursesavingdeals8048 3 года назад

      @@cromwellg60 That's what I mean why would anyone want to go back to work to just cover the bills. They are not benefiting from working so why would they be in a rush to go back. Why be work and poor if you can not work and be poor. Working towards your own business looking towards the future success I can understand but just to get by what's the point. Rent and other bills are so high that's all most people are working for anyway. People are probably not rushing back to work because they have finally realised its all for nothing anyway. Maybe if you got a job you enjoy it's different but most people go to work because they have to pay bills and hate their jobs for the most part.

      True, if they weren't getting paid for sitting at home they would soon change their minds. UK teachers have been on full pay since the schools closed months ago and are now using union pressure and 'health and safety' nonsense to stay on paid holiday for months more. There is no evidence what so ever of children passing the infection to adults and children who catch the virus shake it off no problem at all. I do believe some people realised they were getting 80% of their wages for being at home, so it's highly likely some people probably exploited that fact, many haven't, but as I say, only if it was PROVEN to be safe and responsible to do so !

      @jude donny I haven't been furloughed. I have worked throughout the lockdown and that is included working in the office and being front facing with people.
      The government made this mess by going OTT and refusing to do a u-turn. They have terrified the public by stating that everyone will die not just the very elderly, and those who are immune compromised. They also changed the goalposts initially stating that they needed to flattern the curve and not overwhelm the hospitals; this was achieved (the Nightingale hospitals being empty) however it then changed to eradicating the virus completely which is impossible. I think it is to usher in Baal Gayes of Hell's dirty vaccines.

    • @Isobel31Swan
      @Isobel31Swan 3 года назад +1

      @jude donny I think Gates a has a depopulation agenda. His father was part if Planned Parenthood which is do do with eugenics. He has referred to vaccines as "the final solution l" (he must know the connotation). His Polio vaccine injured half a million children in India; they were paralysed. I understand that his vaccines have injured people in parts of Africa too. Women in India have been made infertile due to his vaccines too. I don't know if he was responsible fir the Swine Flu vaccine but that has caused narcolepsy. None of this is ever mentioned in MSM. He funds the WHO UCL and the BBC and more. I think we will be coerced into taking the vaccine (that won't be safety tested) by making our lives hell.
      I don't know how to resolve the furlough scheme thing but I didn't creat this mess, Johnson et al did. I think when people are jobless, homeless and starving there will be civil unrest. I don't blame the public being like this as it is oart of human nature (I'm sure some people have treated it as an extended holiday) while other people are absolutely terrified.
      I think masks are worse than useless. There is no evidence that they can prevent virus particles getting through even if both people are wearing them. I think that the affect our intake if oxygen and we'll be breathing in bacteria and carbon dioxide. I think the masks are a symbolic, political statement - telling the public to shut up and obey.
      I recommend you follow the Richie Allen radio show, Vernon Coleman, and Carl Vernon etc.
      The best way to battle this virus is to look after iur immune systems which involves avoiding alcohol, sugar carbohydrates, not living in fear, and getting plenty if Vitamin d by going out into the sun.

    I'm furloughed and would love to be working full time. I'm a Paramedic working for a company that specialises in medical repatriation. Since very few people are travelling there is no work for us to do. With the changes to furlough from next month, our firm cant afford to make up the difference. So we are now going onto a zero hours contracts. So I've gone from a pretty reasonable wage, to 80% of my wage, to who knows how much through no fault of my own. Not everyone stuck with this system is enthused by it. Without it my firm may have to start laying staff off.
