Refs: "We did all we could Bron.. we'll get em next time."
Lol
Lmao. The big three, LeBron, Kyrie, and the Refs.
Even though in this very video coach shows that Lebron didn't get all the calls smh
Josh JohnsonHe got the ones that mattered and were game changers. Early on J.R. got quick fouls agaisnt himself that could be argued, but majority of the calls that especially involved LeBron went his way. Fouling D.Rose on a layup, fouling on second to last play where he basically threw himself on Rose which everyone saw. The foul on Jimmy G. Buckets three attempt to beat the shot clock. The Bull's calls were evened out amongst the players, so not one player seemed to be favored. But majority of the calls that favored the Cavs LeBron was involved in. Obviously people aren't saying this for no reason. Let's not forget the obvious charge he got away with against Rose. The only obvious call the Bulls got away with was the travel from Jimmy, maybe one more I'm forgetting as well. But it was the Bull's calls against Lebron's calls. At least that's how I saw it. Could be wrong.
I think u watched this game with rose tinted glasses lol. I'm not a fan of either team and they are saying it for a reason, ppl just love to hate on LeBron. There were bs calls against lebron too as coach showed, couple of no calls and the technical was soft
Great update. It's disgusting what Lebron gets away with. Rose finally got to the line in abundance tonight, but he easily should have had 4 more free throws. Even during his MVP season, he didn't get any respect from the refs.
Derrick Rose shut down Kyrie, he was not a factor at all. His defense is always underrated..
His defense sucks lol
HAHA he's an awful defender, Kyrie was hurt.
Rose is a good defender. He's not elite like a Westbrook, CP3 or Patrici Beverley, but he is above-average. There are times when he gets lackadaisical, but when he is tuned in and firing on all cylinders he performs on like he did tonight..which was pretty elite, in my opinion.
Lol westbrook is not a very good defender, this season he was pretty bad
What about the other games? Lol rose didn't 'shut down' kyrie, kyrie just had a bad game, he was injured
Your videos are dope , as a basketball fan I like these vids , shows the mental side of it
Coach, do you believe Rose isn't getting calls?
Jay Low Nothing is jumping out at me, but I might go back and check
BBALLBREAKDOWN it pretty obvious hes getting hit u can tell when lebron reached in and almost knocked rose down at the end of the game
da r YEAH it was.
The first FT attempt he had on Friday night was his first FT attempt in 3 games. How much fouls have they called on Lebron since then?
He does a lot of those floaters and they don't usually call much on them but I agree some times when he's going in he should be getting his calls cause they fouling him
Love the upload rate coach
Elliot Parker thanks. I'll sleep in the offseason
BBALLBREAKDOWN man i'm totally addicted to your videos. actually since couple of weeks i keep checking youtube only to see if there's new bballbreakdown!!! so how do you think we will survive in the offseason without bballbreakdown???
bastawa Don't worry, at BBALLBREAKDOWN we always get some interesting content in the offseason xP
Elliot Parker #PlayoffNick...he always comes clutch in big moments.
If LeBron didn't do the staredown so many times then the Cavs would be unbeatable. There's enough talent that even with Kyrie being almost useless, they could have come away with a comfortable win. I just hope LeBron is smart enough to realize what he's doing before it's too late.
The referring was shit. They gave Lebrawn so many no calls on fouls against the bulls. Worst referring in the playoffs so far.
mrzack888 Im no fan of either team but if you dont think Lebron has ever benefited from calls or that the Bulls didnt have any no calls on big plays this game then youre a damn fool.
DarthVxderTV stfu, you da fool. Blind fool. did u not watch the game. SMH.
The most blatant one was at the end. Rose brings the ball down and James just reaches in like a wild beast. Lol. Enough contact to call one. Nope.
mrzack888 Your silly. Yeah Butler traveled, but Lebron reached on Rose in last possession , hit Jimmy Butlers head on 3pt attempt with his wrist and Lebron hacked Rose's forearm during a drive to the basket, all no calls. At least 3 fouls could've/ should've been called, If so Lebron would've fouled out. But the NBA loves Lebron too much to let him get fouled out. Has he ever been fouled out of a game?? I think it was about even in foul calls.
***** Was it in a game of high importance, in a marquee matchup, or in the playoffs, or just a regular season game vs bobcats or magic?
I think Tony Snell should get more minutes guarding some of those wings, he could give us more depth, length, speed and defense. Plus some buckets, I have no idea why Kirk Hinrich is getting so much minutes
Kirk didn't play as bad as he has in the regular season, but Snell should get majority of the minutes. I like Snell because of his length, quickness and shooting, and that would help A LOT this series. Kirk is a good player, and in the playoffs he's actually looked pretty good, he's hustling a lot and making some smart plays, but also some bonehead plays. He just isn't well matched-up. Snell and Mirotic need to have consistent minutes if the Bulls want to win this series and perhaps the Finals. Especially Mirotic.
Yeah if snelly cat was guarding j.r, he wouldn't of hit those back to back threes.
Matthew Strass people will overlook this. Thibs is like any veteran coach who would drill his starters for 40 minutes and go 8 deep.
Shawn Johnson Tom Thibodeau needs to be fired.
Shawn Johnson Kirk is a good defender and understands his role. He doesn't bog down the offense with bad shots and hustles on defense to get some steals or force timeouts. I like snell but kirk fits in with the other 4 better at this point.
My sets on NBA 2k15 are more complicated then what Cavs are running.
Great video! I really like the way you incorporated Derrick's interview at the end. Keep up the good content
Thanks Coach for pointing out LeBron's Isos. I have been saying this for years, it makes it that much harder on LeBron and the rest of the cavs when he holds the ball for what seems like an eternity before attacking and makes it easier on the Bulls defense to load up on him. What happened to the notion of attacking before the defense sets?
U can't blame Lebron though. Coach blatt doesn't call plays at all it feels like and the rest of the cavs aren't even moving
keon amirazodi Thank. Fucking. You. I have been going nuts saying this to everyone and no one seems to agree. When the ball stops moving and the play starts to stagnate it's up to the head coach to guide his team. He's a fucking idiot. Also he has just about the worst sense in calling timeouts. It usually goes like this: Cavs with a nice double digit lead. Opposing teams starts to make a run. Double digit lead turns into single digit lead. Call timeout now? No? Opposing team continues to make run. Now only a 5 point lead. Now timeout? No? Opposing team is in full rhythm and hits a few clutch shots to either tie or reduce lead to one possession. Finally calls a timeout. The man is dense as fuck and has zero leadership. This isn't just coming from a diehard fan, but I've been told these very same things from Kyrie's cousin. He told me how no one really looks at Blatt with any real respect, and that all he does is talk way too much when it's not necessary. You know, the type of guy that talks all the talk when it don't really matter, but when it's crunch time is silent as a mouse. Can't wait for the offseason for the Cavs to ditch his ass, and I pray we can get Mark Jackson.
PHUCK YU That's why Kyrie and Lebron really can't coexist.
keon amirazodi what about coach lebron?
Sera phim Kyrie is pretty much the perfect PG for Lebron. But what allows them to thrive is the presence of a stretch 4. They both excel when they are driving to the basket. Without Kevin Love to stretch the floor it makes the paint that much more crowded.
I always enjoy your videos and analyses.
im not sure why they iso'd lebron so much. played into the bulls hands perfectly
Yeah. The Cavs don't have many options and really don't like running plays for the leftover players they have with the exception of Irving. LeBron doesn't really have the one-on-one moves or the ability to set up the open man and get assists that so many legends before him had. Think of Jordan's and Kobe's midrange game, Duncan's postups, Magic Johnson's handles and ability to pass, even Shaq developed a hook shot and some post moves. Even Bill Russell would do a quick pass then screen for the ball handler (kind of like Joakim Noah), grab every rebound, or shoot a hook shot. I could name several others who used a variety of moves to score and win rings, but I've made my point. If Lebron Iso's he has to use multiple scoring skills other than jab steps and poorly timed drives.
Adam Gottlieb "LeBron doesn't really have the one-on-one moves or the ability to set up the open man and get assists that so many legends before him had."
Anthony Peart have you ever watched the guys I mentioned?
Adam Gottlieb have you actually watched Lebron play? I hate the guy but seriously? Can't set up his team? You say this after a game where he had like 14 assists. LOL
Sir Gildo I'm talking in comparison. And what about his 8 turnovers? Magic Johnson averaged over 12 APG in the playoffs, and assists don't mean everything. What about his 10-30? And I do watch him play. He plays like a running back. I want to watch basketball, not football.
Great videos coach :) I thought that Taj screen on the game winner was key to getting rose open as well!
Coach, I think Gasol can help. I mean, during tonight's game, it sometimes seemed that Bulls were lost offence, and a scoring bigman would give them another dimension. Or am I wrong? Great vids, btw!
This a good point. That said, it took a crazy ridiculous shot to beat the Bulls... Without Pau
I feel like it's live it's so fresh :)
Amazing stuff man!
Can we get a montage of all the times Lebrun complains to the refs next game?
Wow. Butlers defense on Lebron in some of those plays. How does he even have enough energy to score on the other end.
Fu Yongbo Coz Lebron is settling
Fu Yongbo yea what sera said, lebrons isos r giving him time to rest a bit more than he should
I just don't understand why Lebron does that shit jab stepping and clock time wasting instead of moving the ball to get a better shot
The most humourous "no foul call on James" is in Game 1.
At 11 seconds left on Q4
LeBron intention hack Butler to stop the clocks.
But the ref didn't call it, so he hack a second time, then a third time
until ref aware that he has to call on this.
It's seem like "no foul call on James" is a autorun program on every ref. LOL
It's funny how much people rave about Gasols play but if you are a Bulls fan or you know from watching most Bulls games that on the defensive side of the ball he is hurting the team and you are spot on when saying 22-12 might not be enough he needs to shoot close to 70% while still getting rebounds and not turning the ball over but Pau seems sensitive to being benched even though playing Taj and Niko more would help the team more, Taj because come $$ time he usually come up with the goods and Niko for Spacing and opening up driving lanes.
May we have some analysis on how otto porter has played to change wizard weak wing defense? I am a Wizard fan and I was worry about the defense at the wing position, but clearly Otto jumps out of nowhere, injects energy and played wonderfully
Hey coach, could you do a breakdown of the refereeing for the Bulls vs. Cavs series? Both squads are getting/not getting some questionable calls and it really does affect (not determine) the games outcome(Butler's travel in game 3 and giving Cavs an extra timeout at the end of game 4+ many more).
It's frustrating to see what the Cavs are doing on offense, because everybody who saw Blatt running his offense in Europe knows that it was a beauty, with ball and off-ball-movement, weaves etc ... Sad to see that Lebron seemingly does not want to run it..
Can you post some video of washington wizards ? They are playing really well !
Did you watch Game 3 of the Warriors vs Grizzlies? Please do a breakdown of the calls in that game especially in the 4th. I think those refs tried to help the Warriors win that game so bad it was ridiculous man. I was watching it with my dad and brother and we were laughing our a$$e$ of on the calls they were making. I was rooting for Golden State in this series, but after that kind of officiating, I think I'll be rooting for Memphis now.
Coach, what about the offensive numbers Gasol is getting? Aren't them important to the team?
I think the NetRtg is more important...
Contact with the body DOES NOT mean it's a foul. Those non-calls were good, because defense went straight up!
coach can you pls review tony allen's game 3 defense and if you still think he is not first team all defense. :D would really like to know what you think.
Coach Nick,
How come the Grizzlies post isos work but not the Cavs'?
Breakdown of the grizzles vs warriors game 3!
The sad part of this game is LeBrons passing was incredible, and yet he continued to try to iso and toss up garbage shots which really killed the Cavs. Yeah there's no Love and Kyrie was hurting this game and didn't give them much but just about any shot is better than some of the deep 2s LeBron was taking against Butler and even with the 14 assists he needs to move the ball more.
BBALLBREAKDOWN Maybe...Just maybe if Lebron would listen/trust/respect his coach and let the Coach be THE COACH, and just be the player(though the best), maybe Blatt could put in some sets to get more movement...But nah, Lebron has to be the Player, the Coach, and the GM at all times in Cleveland smh... #Primadonna
From where you got statistics like "on bench, on court"?
What's the beat you use in your videos? It's catchy as fuck
Have to admit something very correct is said in the clip. Not much of an NBA fan here, more of a euro follower, so I know Blatt for a decade+.
Here's a MAJOR stat: Blatt's Tel Aviv defeated in the semis Moscow that had X3 the budget! A fluke? It then went on to defeat Madrid that had 2X the budget! Low budget players, are team players, and follow the coach to the letter and it worked. Just look how he grew Delly and created a mini-comeback for Jones. Every attentive player grows with Blatt, let me shock you - this year Smith falls in line as well, and I saw Blatt's magic with so called "trouble makers" before.
But not only them fall in line - Kyrie reshaped his offense and defense, Love reshaped his defense, and about what affects his offensive role, well - Lebron - I'll admit he tends to ISOs which I've NEVER seen Blatt do that much.
With Kyrie and Love, well, sometimes I wonder how would Lebron's salary would instead finance a terrific bench that the cavs lack so much of this year, with all due respect to the PAST of Mike, Shawn, Perk and Brendan.
SeventyFive Good point of view. I think much of Lebron's long possession Isos are his own call. And sadly, who is Blatt to refuse the star player and multi MVP winner of the team if he feels that he can take the momentum of game with his strats that has proven to win games before in his career?
It really depends on perspective. I'm not a Cavs fan and even after the trade deadline, I never really saw the team as a Finals threat this year. But if Lebron doesn't have faith in a coach looking at the long term, whose to say he'll have faith in finding success again like he did with the Miami Heat?
BludAardvark Actually I did not say Lebron doesn't trust Blatt, I just said that Lebron tends to go overly ISO, and that tendency was never Blatt. I'd say it differently - Lebron needs a D.WADE next to him to straighten him up.
If you compare Lebron's attitude towards Blatt, to how he was in the heat, it actually goes BETTER, at least in the latter part of the season, and I think Lebron even tried to play along lately until Love got injured, and Lebron quickly fell back to his old habbits. This is what I think is the problem:
No D.WADE - nothing stabilizes Lebron and pulls him back to the game plan when things go wrong.
I'll end with what I said in the first message - look at how Kyrie got better defensively, look at Blatt's investment in Delly's growth and Jones mini-comeback, look at Smith's "rehab" under Blatt. They lacked a bench, not a Lebron.
i totally agree with coach's point on james, rose and and refs' calls
james is most lethal in attacking basket and draw double/triple team, he did a fairly good job in this game but he is lebron, a fairly good job is not enough for a superstar, especially when his team is shorthanded with injury problems. lebron might feel it but it iso kobe like fadeaway jumpshot is not his strength at all.
on rose, i think he did a better job on attacking basket, but still make bad decision on making unnecessary stepback fadeaway and 3s
butler did travel but like coach said refs kinda make calls on cavs side, they have missed out an and-1 for rose and the foul on butler, which were both keys for bulls to extend the lead in 4th quarter..
i don't really like coach tom's rotation actually for not playing snell and mirotic in enough minutes, i think snell is a far better defender with length and speed than hinrich when guarding shumpert or smith, but i guess as a veteran kirk is more experienced. and finally in this game coach tom let nikola play more and it has affected the game
but i don't really agree with coach on pau gasol, i think the stats were not consistent given pau was injured in game 2, i agreed he can't handle tristan's strength like taj, but on court he is a better guy to play in offense, tristan cannot handle his 15 foot jumper at all shown in game 1
do you still cavs will this series coach?
I disagree on the LeBron's "charge". Rose walking back, he just freezes at the last time to appear like he's stationary, but he would have fell back without contact, because he still had momentum.
You showed around 5 calls that went the Cavs' way and the Jimmy Butler travel, and then say "the refs benefited both teams?" How does that make sense?
For anyone that didn't watch the game by the way, that James charge on Rose would have been James's third foul... so it was that much more important that they blew it!
Would you start Taj or Mitotic assuming Gasol can't go?
Corey D I would start Taj, Gasol healthy or not. He deserves it, he's a starter in this league.
Corey D Taj, he brings a lot of intensity great rebounding effort and physical defense, something I wish coach would've shown this game is how the D disrupted James Jones streaky shooting and credit goes to Taj cuz he had to switch sometimes to defend him and did well even blocking his shot from the corner. Mirotic is great don't get me wrong but right now Taj is the better option.
I'm sure I'm in the minority when saying I'd roll with Mitotic. I don't think he'd be a terrible liability on D guarding Thompson, and I think he has the length and athleticism to mitigate Thompson's proficiency on the glass. Taj, by and large, hasn't been the same player this year as he's been playing banged up the entire season. I don't think you can start a front court featuring two guys who can't spread the court and tend to struggle putting the ball in the hoop.
The Bulls fall into their biggest holes when they stagnate on offense. Accordingly, I think the Bulls game plan should be to play an efficient offensive game to jump start their defense and not the other way around. My biggest concern with starting Mitotic would be the foul trouble that is attached to it. Too often he plays D with his hands, instead of his feet, because he is out of position. This leads to foul trouble as was on display in game 3.
Having said all that, it's probably moot because there's no way in hell Thibs is starting Mitotic haha.
Corey D It's Mirotic, not Mitotic.
Ah, I see what happened. My computer is auto correcting after every time I type his name. WTF
change the music! it drives me crazy to hear it every video!
Coach, you sure give me confidence in my game. Showing that even the "great" Lebron makes many mistakes.
I think that the Bulls are better off with a healthy Pau on the floor. In game one he was playing well. He played 34 minutes with 21 points and 10 rebounds. He was clearly able to handle Mozgov by hitting 8 mid range shots and pulling him away from the basket. Clearly the Pau that we got in games 2 and 3 was not healthy. His shot was off and he was moving sluggish. If Pau is able to play at a level were he can hit 5 or more mid range shots, and get close to double digit rebounds the Bulls win comfortably. Let's face it, Pau isn't struggling because the Cavs are doing anything special. They don't really have an answer for him.
Love would have feasted against the bulls the way nene did last season and bosh did multiple times. That midrange pop is free all day ereday against the bulls.
incredible.. the days i said im not gonna watch basketball people suddenly make these buzzer beating game winners rose and now paul pierce...
Coach!!!!! Do you think the Celtics can dominate in 2 years???? I see them being the next kind of spurs ( not perfect) considering they play read and react offense and have great ball movement. Top 4 in assists with GSW and Spurs. All they need is a veteran and a star
During Game 3 I noticed 4 no calls in favor of the Cavs, and 2 no calls in favor of the Bulls. But refs swallowed their whistles pretty much the entire game and let them play on through contact. Seems like an evenly called series so far. I'd prefer the refs keep it that way the rest of the series instead of bail outs for Lebron and Kyrie.
Thanks coach #imin
Do you think Rose was really that much more aggressive driving to the rim in this game (hence being able to get to line for the first time all series) or was he just unlucky with calls not going his way earlier in the series?
Who do you think will end up winning the series, Coach?
Lebron Should stick to being Lebron and stop acting like he Kobe or MJ... Clearly that shit is too complicated for him.
Big 3 LeBitch, kyrie, and referees, smh. You know I find it funny mirotic comes off the bench and almost fouls out before LeBitch James. Should make a video on that
That's what you call a rookie with no experience whatsoever
Edu Rossi that's what I call bullshit refs who call phantom calls. Miritoc was playing good so the refs couldn't afford him being in the game to long. But I bet you wouldn't say shit about Kyrie's playoff inexperience smfh. The cavs are your team so I understand how you're feeling. don't worry the refs will gladly give y'all game 4 so no need to complain
fredrick coleman you were right. the whole extra time on the clock gave them time to make a move and shoot.
MAN LEBRON GOT AWAY WITH 3 FOULS THAT WOULD'VE BEEN SHOOTING FTS!
Kirk Hinrich needs more minutes
- Thibs
Where do you get the stats from?
surfcrazy27 that's the nba media stats.. but you can get that at nbawowy.com
2:10-2:20
Too bad most bulls fans thinks he's the Antichrist who threaten to give him all the calls even though the bulls got more free throws than the cavs
I've never seen people bitch about winning...its amazing
Coach Nick, you really must have something personal against Pau to say they would be better without him. He is one of the main reassons of the improvement of this team. Those stats you showed in and off the court are not representative because he has been injured for the last two games. So you should more respectfull. Any player deserves those words, and even less Pau
Jimmy Butler.. nice work on defending LeBron..
Shouldn't count if you don't call glass!
STFU
You stupid
WOW Was joking but OK
jaimedavila1 have you ever played horse? It's obviously a joke lmao
A lot of people replying to you don't play ball lol
IMO, Thibodeau was outcoached. I believe this is the main reason Bulls office want to fire him . And why he isnt using Mcdermott , not trusting players like Snell . Maybe a breath of fresh air will be good for the Bulls.
it might, but it might not... Ik they havent had rose but yhey havent exactly had a godo preseason
200k subs??? Damn, since when!!
Since u r a dumbass
law john OOOOHHHHHHH!!!!!!11!!!1111!!
Serdar Karahann GOT HIS ASS
law john wtf lol
GOT EEEEEEEEEMMM
if kyrie is "playing hurt" as his team said so, no way the cavs win this. I believe the bulls have picked up some newfound momentum after that shot.
#thatstheanswer
GO BULLS!
Yeah wait until his next upload of this series... It'll prolly start out the same way
That bron bron vs all is why he couldn't win the whole thing with the cavs a few years ago
The Cavs last game looked like the rockets. Feed the ball to harden (Lebron) and hope something happens. Nobody else even got above 15 pts...
When gasol gets back thibs might as just well start taj at the 5 Hes stronger and more productive then joakim taj is a 16 and 9 guy if he was a starter in these league
So you just ignore LeBrons double dribble or Kyrie being completely stepping out of bounds or the goaltend on TT, but you say that the refs were still fair at the end of the video, it's sad how bias you are
Man U really exposed a lot of these NBA teams !!!
James is my favorite player , but i think he lost cavs a game at chicago. He hold's the ball way too much , and kyrie irving doesn't get the chance to do his thing. Dribbles too much and those damn jabs, should have a lot more ball movement
Wow LeBron playing out of character. Holding the ball for 8 seconds while the defense is set and then attacking. Its like how Melo used to play when he would hold the ball, jab step 15 times, destroy everyone's rhythm and then shoot lol
Bulls are going to be better this year, no doubt... The teams future isn't very clear however; DRose injuries and his free agency is 2017 may make a factor on the team, I mean am I right? What do you thing
Coach you think something was wrong with LBJ last game? As you pointed out..he didn't seem himself
The cavs deserved to lose yesterday's game especially with how trash Lebron has been playing. Now all of a sudden he wants to do iso all the time. I could understand if it was a mismatch but Lebron isn't that skilled of a 1 on 1 player to be doing ISO plays on Jimmy butler one of the best wing defenders in the league. He is decent 1 on 1 he ain't no harden, kobe, Melo or kd he needs to facilitate more and get good looking shots stop with your ISO plays that's not your speciality
He did score over 30 point in game 2 lol.
Abdisalam Farah game 2 he did good but game 1 he did bad and in game 3 he shot 30% from the field he needs to be more consistent
Golden Aura he needs to stop trying to force offense by taking butler one on one when there are better ways to score.
I honestly thought that Lebron did well enough against Butler on his ISOs. He shouldn't rely on them though since most of the time he either goes for the shot or tries to drive it in. He can finish in both scenarios from time to time but it's far from ideal.
Isoing aint bad, its just not the best thing he can do. Lebron is not kobe or melo. He has great vision so he needs more plays where he can drive and pass instead of so many isos.
I just feel like Coach Nick is such a Bulls hater specifically a Drose hater. On twitter and even on his videos. Just give Drose some credit man. I mean the Bulls will only go as far Drose takes them
Karl Fiesta This is hilarious... so far from it
Karl Fiesta How is he a Bulls hater? He was a fan from 1978 to like 1998. Now he isn't a fan of any NBA team.
hes a rose hater i notices when talks about rose or even when he mentions him
Watch some old videos on the channel, Coach Nick actually admits that the Bulls are one his favorite teams and he was a big supporter of Rose during his MVP campaign. Maybe he is criticizing Rose because he made some dumb plays...I'm a Bulls fan and it is clear: Rose makes a lot of good plays, but the pull-up 3's and lazy jump passes are bonehead
Delusional bulls fans think everyone is against them lol
Losing KLove really threw off their rhythm. They had such flow w him rebounding and for the spotting for 3. They tried using James Jones disguised as a 3 shooting big, but when its crunch time, they got nothing going. No playmaking to speak of. Yeah, if all Cavs get is Lebron iso w a beast defender in Bulter in front of him, I don't see how they can win.
Nice travel Butler. Foul calls can be 50/50 but that travel was obvious.
this was the first game where rose shot FTs in this series. And rose is attacking the basket so this is not 50/50
***** lol they missed 2 obvious fouls on lebron and 1 50/50 one. Its safe to say the cavs were getting the benefit of the calls in the 4th quarter...
jerrybronham You just got back?
***** the refs turn a blind eye in the closing minutes of a close game. I really wasn't surprised at the no-call
chesschampion94 the refs barely called any fouls on either team so they were consistent. What's with all the complaining from bulls fans about the refs you won the game...
So let me get this straight. A healthy Gasol RIPS the Cavs apart on game 1. Then he gets injured on game TWO (not three like casuals seem to think) and suddendly the Bulls are "undoubtedly" better without him? What's that nonsense about him not being able to handle Mozgov? I thought a guy who calls himself "coach" would know better than analyzing the matchups in 1v1 scenarios. System is not important anymore, I guess?
Pau needs to put up literally 22 and 12 in order to avoid being a net negative? Hold on, it gets better... because "not even at that point"! Yeah, your breaking down skills are through the roof, dude.
Also, in what world is 1 bad call for one side evening up anything when there were at the VERY least 4 bad calls the other way?
I think you are being a bit unfair with Gasol, coach. Granted, he wasn't performing well, but a couple vids ago you completely praised him. The Bulls are better off without him? who knows, but I'll take an All-Star in my team instead of zero offensive mind Noah. I do agree that with Gasol on court the Bulls lose A LOT in D and in transitions, but you think that he is under-performing?
José María Barrera García-Tejera It depends. A healthy Pau who can make all the shots when he's open is dangerous. Game 2 was a totally different Pau and he's a liability if he's left on the court too long like that. Defenses would try switch him against certain matchups to try attack him.
BludAardvark I get what you are saying, it's no surprise, Gasol has been like this on D pretty much since he landed in the NBA. He is 34 but has an amazing wrist and post play. I just think he can be used in other ways. Then again, as you said, coach LeBron knows that Pau is the best way to attack the Bulls.
That was a lucky shot, tho they still win.
Was that even the real LeBron? He looked like a fifth rate rec court player out there. He could get away with all that ISO when he actually sinks the shots like in Miami. He was actually a threat there. His mind' sustain completely scrambled no what he's come back to the comfort of his "home".
Coach. Whats your email account?
LeBron trying to be Carmelo! You can't iso baby!
Coach/player Lebron needs to step up.
Basically if Lebron just drives and attacks when catching the ball he would be unguardable instead of just waiting for the defense and taking like 5 jab steps that results to nothing.
That's how I would coach Jim ;)
cavs are loaded with skill and athleticism, but love irving and bron all have bad ball iq
7:47 Travel 3 steps
Lebron could stab somebody in the face and refs wouldn't call It
truth
Hey coach nick I do breakdowns and talks on my channel I was wondering if we could do a video together I got 1300 subs and I I know my stuff I want to do a podcast link what you think thanks
Lebron lacks creative ISO moves and handle to put an elite defender on his heels. He plays bully ball and that plays right into chicagos hands. Back downs and straight line drives late in the shot clock ain't gonna cut it either. Bron got them Magic Johnson Michael Jordan handles. If he only had an effective low post game and footwork that would allow him to conserve more energy for pressure situations to use his athleticism to overwhelm opponents but...he's 30 and pretty much set in his ways offensively.
jstarrah1 I mean the lack of dynamic teammates hurts to a degree. Lebron had no problem in Miami and usually would convert his iso situations quickly or pass it up to Wade/Bosh who would know what to do with the ball. But yeah he doesn't help his own case either holding on to the ball for 7 seconds and just having defenders be ready when he's coming to the hoop.
He was a great in the post in Miami. Butler is an elite defender and he's getting no credit for his defensive job on LeBron from anyone but it's making an impact.
munclesonkey People know Butler can defend Lebron. PG for the Pacers was the guy to put on Lebron as well when he was playing for Miami and you saw that in recent playoffs. But Miami then had weapons to make use of Lebron's ability to finish and get position inside. And at least he never ran iso possessions for 7 long seconds.
munclesonkey That's becoz Lebron is slower now
Let's be real he was above average in the post not great. If he was so great in the post why isn't he doing it now in Cleveland against jimmy butler?
Dumb luck won it for the Bulls. Tell me it wasn't, when a guy who's a career 28% 3pt shooter BANKS it in from 5ft beyond the arc to win the game over good defense. But whatever. He couldn't do it again. I think it comes down to the next game. Whoever wins it represents the east in the Finals.
d rose too clutch for you
dako91196 correct me if I'm wrong but he was 1/3 from beyond the arc that game right? That falls near his career percentage with 33.3% but I guess math is dumb luck now.
dako91196 Obviously Rose didn't intentionally bank the shot. But so what.. The Bulls put themselves into a position to have a luck shot like that win the game. If he misses the shot, it's still tied with 5 minutes to go. It's not like the shot saved the Bulls from losing. LeBron said it best after the game, the last shot isn't the only reason the Cavs loss. They gave up way too many offensive rebounds, other than Thompson the others have to do a better job of boxing out.. LeBron continues to hold the ball way too much which causes the Cavs offense to become stagnant at times. The thing that kills the Bulls defense is solid ball movement. Really most defenses, but especially Chicago's. Iso ball just plays into their defensive schemes. The Bulls do a lot of over helping, moving the ball from side to side really hurts them. The Cavs at times just watch LeBron iso and usually leads to a low % tough shot. Also give the Bulls credit, they played a good game. They were aggressive from the start and once their shots started falling they were able to take the lead. Their bench was huge last game as Gibson and Mirotic played well. Rose might not have shot the ball well, but played great defense and was aggressive offensively all game. He didn't just settle for jump shots which puts pressure on other team and it allows the Bulls bigs to crash the glass with less resistance.
To say it was just "dumb luck" I think is wrong. There's luck involved in a lot of games. Did you just see Pierce do the same thing earlier today to win the game. It's not about the last shot only. There was a whole 47 minutes too look at. Last night's game both team could have easily won. In the end it was Chicago. This series is far from over. I agree with you game 4 will be huge for both teams. I won't go as far as to say whoever wins it will win the series, although I can see that happening. But both teams can beat each other, there's no clear favorite. Obviously when you have the best player on the court in LeBron you want to go with them, but Chicago plays better as a team in my opinion mainly cause they have been playing together longer.
TheLowlifeXssassin So you think he is 1/3 all time just because he shot 1/3 in the game? Talk about living in the moment. Download NBA Gametime, go to Players, check Knee Rose. He is 28% all time from three. Sub-par
I smell a butthurt bandwagon Cavs fan lol
butler defends lebron the best
***** Kawhi Leonard
lebron can only score a lot whe he is hot ( he only ever shoot 25 of more on carrer nights)
otherwise if they expact him to shoot 25 shots every day, he woudlnt be nearly as effective, as lets say KD or Kobe in the same situation
Bad officiating both ways... Would you call the Gibson screen on the game winner an illegal one?
Bulls too good or cavs bad night?
Ernesto Munoz Both teams had a pretty bad night lol
I always crinch whenever lebron handles the ball....I just feel it's like Dwight Howard handling the ball....he should let handle the ball most of the times because I have confident he can handle the ball well....lebron is a good passer but he should know that doesn't mean he's a good ball handler.
If he wants to score let him pop out to a catch and shoot or dribble a bit by driving freight train....he shouldnt stand at one spot and do his dribbling... I crinch whenever he does that
Let kyrie *
AWEZ damaster And that's why they dont go well together
AWEZ damaster so you want the 2nd best facilitator in the league (CP3 is best IMO) to not handle the ball so that a PG that is known as a 'scoring PG' can handle it. I mean face it, nearly any team Lebron is on he is going to run the point. As he should be.
Fred Daniels
Problem is Kyrie doesn't move well without the ball unlike Wade in Miami.
"so the refs had benefitted both teams", lol come on, Bulls like 2 times and James should have fouled out halfway through the game. Everyone watching it knew it was BS
