- More bosses made by the SMW Central community. Those are from newer games, and neither of the bosses/hacks were made by me.
Yeah, this movie is longer, so I hope you don't die of boredom in the meanwhile.
I also didn't try to be perfect on those bosses. Some of them are really hard, so I just tried to show like they behave.
WARNING: What you will see in 10:15 and in 21:10 are not problems with youtube or the rendering. That's what actually happened during the gameplay.

I've noticed that about 70% of SMW custom bosses use a Sprite that shoots at Mario that has to be beaten with shells or blocks that inexplicably pop into existence near a pipe or wall
Like I said, this is not a single rom, and I honestly don't remember all the names. The video is pretty recent, but I've been playing this for more than a year before I uploaded this. I can try looking for them, though. I think I still have the roms here somewhere.

Ok, I managed to find them. All bosses until 12:00 belong to Super Mario World: The Secret of the 7 Golden Statues. In my previous video I told someone some bosses there were from this game, now I see made a mistake :P
The SMB2 Mario is Super Mario World Master Quest 8: The Final Quest.
Kamek and Triclyde is Mario Treasure Hunt 1 and/or 2, I don't remember.
The last 3 bosses is Drama Mystery. Don't be fooled by Sorrow's scenario, that game is really good.

Something the hack author did caused that. Probably some ASM code he implemented made the game unstable. If I remember right, it only happens if you load a game state on the emulator. And I don't think fuzzies were created yet. Probably too hard to be coded.
Where did you get the Racoon Leaf and that Boomerang and the ability to walljump?
They're features in the hack he was using for a lot of these boss fights. The hack is Super Mario World and the Secret of the Seven Golden Statues

Nah. That's actually an enemy that appeared in SMB2 called Phanto. It's not a boss there, though.
Most of these bosses are from The secret of the 7 golden Statues and SMW Master Quest 8 - The Final Quest.

I believe it's not a specifically wasp boss. There's an enemy called "generic boss" or something like that that was made to be changed in some ways by its users. In this case, the author made it look like a wasp.
And I won't say for sure, but there's a good change that this wasp, Sorrow, Crush, and Yoshi are the very same enemy.

Ohh, That would be faster to do something, but because I like to make my own games, I would be remaking my own version without using SMBX, so I won't be limited to SMBX mechanics! I would be coding it C++ and DirectX9! Because I don't have free time anymore, I would be impossible for me to get the game that further. Unless I can live for free$, then I could make the game. :-)

Wow, that made the theme seem that much less epic XD Not to get at KKR, but I imagined doing a grand, ultra serious version of it at some point and it did not having anything like him as part of it.
Without the same instruments used, the music becomes.... that. Still, I doubt finding a MIDI file for it would be difficult, if you need to use one as a base. I'm not really aware of how remixes are made :o
Nah, I just recreate by ear and whatever my demented mind comes up with for personalization.
I believe my auditory memory is my best one. I remember most musics I head before.. not their names though.
I already tried to replicate some music patterns with edited sounds and it's a lot harder than I thought. :P I try to think how much I have to raise/lower an octave, for example, to get the 3rd different pitch out of 4, each one with the same difference between each other. It's a bit hard to explain because I have no knowledge in musics or musical notes.
I think a better way to say is, it's hard to quantize the amount of different pitch between each note I hear to replicate it in the computer. I can do it perfectly while whistling, but here it's a pain. :D

No problem. I'm 80% sure that's the hack you want, but if it isn't, you won't regret playing it. It's one of the hacks with the greatest interactions with the story I have played so far. Inside SMW's limits, of course.
