Listen I own this amp it's super loud all the people that are using it and saying that it's not loud don't understand basically leave your master volume at zero bring your gain up until it starts to clip you will see the lights around the gain knob blink red or yellow then back it off a little bit then start bringing in the master also I think they really should have done the review with the matching cab 112 that they make I like the cab the hd hl line cabs in my opinion are so well made I use this head and the 1x12 high drive 300 w to play smaller to medium size gigs and then I also run it through it 2x15 cab that I built and when it's plugged into 215s it's loud enough to play a concert hall or theater
Thank you for showing the shape and frequency settings. I was looking for a lighter replacement for my Trace Elliot GP11 and I love the pre-shape mode on this one. The frequency/shape settings seem to work similarly.
I have Markbass classic 106 + Hartke TX600 and I can tell you it's loud enough for, well, almost anything. I was confused at beginning because untill 2 a clock master is like bedroom volume and after that it starts kicking very loud.
I wish you would have played longer than 10 seconds at least a pattern longer than 10 seconds that way I could have heard what the head actually sounds like
Once upon a time, you would have to donate a body part to be able to afford gear with that much power. now companies are giving you power and quality at a great price. There's know exuse that we can't afford an amp
You should mention that the DI out ist always Pre EQ. Therefore no tube sound at DI for the FOH. If you use line out to the mixing console you get Tube sound but the line out is before the mute so you can’t mute the line out in a live situation. To my opinion this is a massive - really massive - disadvantage. This should not have happened to Hartke engineers . And they corrected with the LX series. To late for my TX
That's not true. It is a loud amp. I got the tx 600 and the lh 500. And i can tell you the tx is louder than the lh. I think the most people don't use the gain the right way. It is a clean amp so you can push the gain a lot.
i sold my Aguilar sl 112 (2 cabs) and i want a light cabs again, i was thinking in order hartke hd 112, but now that i see on this video they use Aguilar to show they hartke head, they made me think Aguilar is beeter than hartke on the 112 cabs
Why won't I watch your review videos do I never see you dime the gain? I And on this one you didn't even bother with the master volume which is something that a lot of amps don't have. I would have loved to have heard the master volume down the amp volume all the way up and then the other way around. Not everybody wants the clean sound which is Obviously what you like cause that's The only sound we get to hear in your reviews. And unfortunately you're not the only one Doing it so a guy like me has a real tough time judging Which amplifier is for me
I know this head vs the TX300 has a tube pre-amp which the 300 is full solid state, but does not have the drive feature that the 300 model has. Kinda disappointed about that. Hartke dropped the ball on that one.
Not sure if you still need help with this but a lot of people misunderstand the “gain” knob on this amp. It’s not an overdrive like on most amps it’s more of a ‘pre-master’ I like to called it. Basically you want to mute the head and turn the gain knob up while playing as hard as you would be during your session, then when it starts flashing red to indicate it’s peaking you want to dial it back slightly so it doesn’t flash, then adjust the master knob accordingly. It took me a little while to understand how it works to start with but after a few years of owning it wouldn’t change this head for anything else, it’s fantastic. That’s using it at both home, studio, rehearsals and live shows ranging in size. Hope this helps you if you still need it :)
I disagree. A label is a label, using the amp in a real life gigging situation will tell you how powerful it is. I have yet to try one, but there are many reports that it is not as loud as 350watt and 500watt Hartke models and does not have as much headroom.
MrMetalNoob in that case you have some bass in your frequency curve... maybe you're more mids and highs focused by design but you gotta have a little bit... especially if you have an overdriven tone!!
If you are a guitarist, you are a dime a dozen. No one cares about you. I can find any good songwriter/guitarist to play with my bands all day everyday. You are a ZERO.
Yet, you won't play without one. Why not? Truth is, guitar is meaningless to the overall band. You are replaceable, we are not. It's all about the percussion and groove. No band needs an over egotistical guitar player who solos for 5 minutes and thinks he's god.

Those that say this doesn't sound loud enough aren't using the gain control properly and/or not running the proper cabinet/ohm combo.
I have Markbass classic 106 + Hartke TX600 and I can tell you it's loud enough for, well, almost anything. I was confused at beginning because untill 2 a clock master is like bedroom volume and after that it starts kicking very loud.
your Markbass 106 is a 4 or a 8 ohms cab ?
@@patrickjamin5289 it's 6 ohms.
Very clean amp! Love mine
I recently bought this head and a Gallien Krueger Cx410 [800] watts. Would it be fine? Will it sound good?
If you could.pair this with a 210 cab. Which would it be? Is It safe with the hartke hd210(500w)?
Robbie Valentine I think the 410 xll or the 12 Hydriver is appropriate for this
You get 450 Watss with that combination,no problem
Please explain better the mid eq. It's not clear... What does the shape do? Does it boost or cut the frequency? Or both? How to do to set it flat?
Looked like it was rolled off all the way on both knobs when he said flat? Idk if that helps
please review the quilter bass block.
Can this be used with out a cab, straight into a portastudio?
I wish you would have played longer than 10 seconds at least a pattern longer than 10 seconds that way I could have heard what the head actually sounds like
You can find other reviews on it
Once upon a time, you would have to donate a body part to be able to afford gear with that much power. now companies are giving you power and quality at a great price. There's know exuse that we can't afford an amp
You obviously don't have kids or a family I take it?

oh my, I've got to get this
I like his playing style, no flamenco trebly guitar sounds.
I tried one in Sam Ash today it sounds good but ain’t loud to me . My LH500 is louder but if your playing a small gig through a PA I think it’s fine
yeah I have it. it's barely enough power for my bedroom
600 Watts? Master on 3 clock? In studio?
The volume pot is not tapered in even increments on this amp. There is a big boost after 2 o'clock.
qdaveq OK, thanks for info. I just found somethink about it.
I heard it’s not loud what do you think

What bass cabinet was used with the demo?
Aguilar 1x12
Bigg TK Nuggs that's rated at 250w tho
Alguém me ajuda, pelo amor de deus... liguei ele em 220v e ele tava em modo 110v. Tem salvação????
What's the lowest watt cab u can use with this head do u no by it's self
Simon Smith 250 watt 8 ohm cab
MASTER MAXIMUM?

The Hartke TX600 is noisy. Hold a tone for a while and it sounds not clear.
do the ha2500
how do I get more power in the tx600 master because it seems to me that it has neither 100w of power
Someone said crank the gain

i try it but is kinda under power. Good priced!
Many people have said this. Is it too quiet for gigging with plenty of headroom?
yeah, only 600 watts. Thats only 2 SVTs
What it says on the label and what comes out of the speaker are two different things.
qdaveq yeah but the label tells you 99.9% of the story.
I disagree. A label is a label, using the amp in a real life gigging situation will tell you how powerful it is. I have yet to try one, but there are many reports that it is not as loud as 350watt and 500watt Hartke models and does not have as much headroom.
looks soooo cheap
CannibalisticZombie666 garbage
Who cares about Bass?
Bass players.
I do, you buttplug :)
Anyone who has tinnitus from a lack of it at high volume!!
Typical IT Guy no sorry, Im guitarist
MrMetalNoob in that case you have some bass in your frequency curve... maybe you're more mids and highs focused by design but you gotta have a little bit... especially if you have an overdriven tone!!
No, seriously. Who cares about bass?

longdongbongchong No seriously, who cares lol
longdongbongchong what do you call someone who hangs around with musicians? A bass player lmao
Yet, you won't play without one. Why not? Truth is, guitar is meaningless to the overall band. You are replaceable, we are not. It's all about the percussion and groove. No band needs an over egotistical guitar player who solos for 5 minutes and thinks he's god.
pompom906 yet the hardest part of your job as a guitarist is to find a good bass player for your crap band
