Most Powerful Way of Using Gumout: The Vacuum Hose

Hydro lock is the primary danger of using the induction method. Pour very slowly---a mere dribble will suffice. I'm performing this procedure on a Saturn SC2 2002: introducing Gumout straight into the intake system via the brake booster vacuum hose.

I've put Seafoam through a small 6ft rubber hose attached to the vacuum hose connected to the intake manifold. That way, I can pour it and rev the engine. All from the convenience of my driver's seat. 👌👍

Gumout MSTU also has PolyetherAmine PEA which is a cleaning agent that Seafoam doesn't have. Plus it's typically cheaper.

brake booster line may not reach all cylinders, finding a vacuum line closer to the throttle body is a better option. Great video though!

I used gumout via the vacuum hose method. The car spuddered for a bit then ran fine. All smoke ran out and seemed to run better than before. About 3 hours later I take it to work and it starts spuddering again. Not sure why. and again after a few min of driving it went away. What would be the cause of this? Is it still "flooded"? BTW i drive a Volkswagon CC 2009, Manual, 2.0L 4cyl Turbo

Great video, thank you! Couldn't you also introduce the liquid cleaner into the intake via the pvc hose? Just wondering why some choose the break booster while others the pcv valve.

Thanks for the video Im having a problem when removing the brake booster vacuum and add the gumout once I replace the vacuum my resevior is overflowing. Any idea why it does this? I tried twice and leaked twice. thanks for your help! I have a 99 Saturn Sc-1

So what if your main purpose for using fuel injection cleaner is to clean your fuel injectors. Lol. Pour it in the vacuum hose?

put a bottle in the gas tank with a full tank of gas or pour out a cup full to use in the vacuum line before you add the rest of the bottle to the tank, that's what i do with my 350z.

I use it on my sneekers when I step in someones chewed gum they spit out...it really works !

You lost me on sea foam...that stuff is designed for two stroke motors ... Not cars of today

Seafoam is not made just for 2 stroke engines, lol. Its designed for use in any gasoline engine. Check out all their products, especially the air intake. Leaned aerosol, it really works great.

Go to wal mart they do exactly the same thing plus add an additive in your gas tank for 20 bucks.
