If the stupid 60/40 restriction is removed, it would make it to the higher ranks, like the US, UK, and the EU.
What was the reforms brought with these laws? Can you explain it to me? Wasn't Phillipines already a liberal economy?
@@adithyadanaj9768 Before we have a system called 60/40 established in 1991 which means 60% of the company should be owned by a Filipino and 40% by foreign investors. Now the law states, foreigners, can own 100% making it a better deal for the company and the country thanks to president duterte.
At worst, we have the Foreign Investment Negative List, which prevents certain foreign entities from investing.
Hahaha
100% foreign ownerships ?
How come it benefits your country besides a better deal for foreign investment.
As a Burmese, this is only possible if we remove the military’s influence from government permanently. With them In charge, no economic growth is possible as all the hard earned money from the civilians end up in the military’s pockets.
Then, won't all the hard-earned money end up in government's pockets?
@@jutea9858 I meant that they won’t use it towards nation building. Basically they’re corrupt
Sound familiar to us Indonesian as well, but luckily we were able to wipe out those sick old military mindset and put them to the place they belong. I hope Burma erasing those junta very soon..
@@Gamechannel500 most of the bridges, roads, airports, public hospitals etc that you people using now are built and constructed during military reigns, right?
