The belt pulley that was machined in the second half of the video was made from a grey-iron cast blank - not from one of the forged gear blanks shown in the beginning. One can tell by the chips being produced on the boring mill. I also liked the way the machinist used his beard to clean the part before using the gauge to check the diameter of the recess! 😂 But still - amazing craftsmanship considering the age of the machine tool!
