NEVER allow a single guy to live with your teenage (any age) daughter!! What were her parents thinking!?! And to support the man who impregnated your teenage daughter, while turning away both her and her child, is literally criminal.

It's because they were looking for a marriage partner for her, in other words, when they let him move in, they were (in their minds) already trying to re-home her. I am sorry, it's harsh, it's unbelievable, it's hard to imagine, but it's how some cults and backwards religious people operate to keep their child from becoming a free thinking adult.

She was 14. He was an adult. Her parents were idiots for letting her go to the movies with him and then inviting him to live in their home. Your teen years can be confusing. Yes, you know right and wrong, however you can feel “pressured” into doing things you might not normally do if you don’t have friends and parents to turn to for advice. Her parents were useless - they pretty much forced her into marriage rather than kicking the guy out!

He was very good at climbing and he was super nice and fun and could explain well and genuinely cared about his group. We would giggle and fawn over him and be embarrassing teens and get all giddy when he helped us and wanted to get super good at climbing to impress him. And that's normal. That is normal, innocent young kids. It's normal that kids have their first crushes on a person like that, because they are supposed to be safe. Nothing is supposed to come from that. Did my climbing teacher know that some of the girls in his group had little crushes on him? Probably. But him acting on it would have been the sick thing, not us being normal teens. You did nothing wrong. Your feelings were never wrong. You were groomed and you were taken advantage of but what you felt was always normal. He is the only one who did something incredibly, terribly wrong. Him and your parents, but I mean between you and him.

@@vanessagroker98 Oof, with that thank you Idk how to write now. Eh fuck it. The reason I asked was because you made it sound like he was 40. 25 isn't 40 and 15 isn't 12, and on top, only a 10 year difference, hardly a reason to call him perverted if he asked you out. It's called consent, if you say no, it's a no. I doubt 15 year olds aren't able to say no, especially if the guy is totally chill about it. It turned out to be a good thing he didn't since you don't like him anymore, he dodged a bullet just as much as you did, but none of it would be perverted per se. I know people, including my boss, and also my cousin who married at 15, still married to her first husband 18-19 years later with 3 kids, and every time they visited, they were happy, while most other marriages between 30yo dont last a year. Imagine calling someone who loves a woman who btw looked 20-25 a perv only because they married young. Your personal experience isn't everyone's is all I'm saying. It should be judged on a case by case basis, not blanket. It was right what happened, but not because of age, but because of you and that coach.

She does look very young. People in general seem to be staying much younger looking these days vs. how they looked in the early to mid 1900s. It is noticable in old pictures. If you Google highschool yearbook pics from the 1930s-40s, some of them look so much older than their actual age. The lady in this video does look great though. She probably gets mistaken for being a sibling of her child rather than the mom very often. I mean that as a compliment. She is very pretty.

Every Christian church luckily has the same structures around this. So he knew! And she’s looked like a child on those pictures. She was in Home school when he was leaving with them. I don’t know how this passed in court other than, the judge is shady and the lawyers are shady on this kind of stuff. You are a beautiful young woman who was the victim of grooming and child abuse. It is gradually coming out how much sexual abuse against children happened/is still happening in churches and amongst Christian religious communities. None of this is your fault. You were let down by the very people you should have been able to trust. I hope you continue to go from strength to strength in your life and that your story helps other young people who are finding themselves in similar situations . Xx
