This week there’s plenty of great Starship related updates across the board. Especially from Starbase Texas. As the title says, SpaceX Breaks New Ground with Epic Static Fire. And heck yes they did! But how powerful was it really? Yes... diving right into that! Along with visiting Cape Canaveral again with Greg Scott. Falcon 9 is launching more than just Starlink satellites again this week. We’ll also take a look at International Space Station resupply and what to expect from the upcoming Crew-6 mission. A last minute change of plans for the next lunar landing and a bunch more.

Thank you @Marcus House. This format is excellent.
Please NO shorts NO stories, NO shortened formats. Appreciate all the information you pass on to us.
Thanks Ferdi!
Yeah this format is PERFECT
I agree, short clips don’t belong with this kind of content
You said what I wanted to say, so I second your opinion.
The Deep Dives on a single topic are a boon
As was your End of Year Summary.. puts things into perspective
With the launch cadence increasing and many of new players, you'll need an editorial policy to either focus down or trim content - or increase output somehow
The Ars Technica Rocket Report has a number of different categories (small, medium, heavy lift, super heavy soon?)
You've learnt good pacing, great delivery and simple, effective explanations without skimming over important stuff - matching your audience interest & level (we're a nerdy lot, I guess).
So how does your channel double or triple weekly output as the Space Industry takes off?
I look forward to your next innovation
Marcus, one reason why your subscriber numbers are great is you are reliable: you publish at the same time every week. Your regularity is much appreciated.
Subscription numbers are not great. Shorts would allow better growth.
I agree, consistency is key.
@@A31415 Shorts are for mouthbreathers with the attention span of a goldfish.
@@r0cketplumber shut up and take my money
@@A31415 how are nearly half a million subs not great numbers?
Keep doing long form and don't change. Weekly detailed coverage of some length is what the audience wants. Short form is not what we want. Keep up the good work it's much appreciated.
Thanks Thomas.
We absolutely agree, your existing format is PERFECT. Sunday am in bed is our time catching up with SpaceX and others. Can't wait for Artemis!
Eh, feel free to do shorts to bring in new people, as long as it doesn't interfere with the regular scheduled content.
Marcus, don't change a thing... You and your team do a fantastic job!!!
Ditto
I agree.
Yup. Short and sweet.
Agreed!
@@StillAliveAndKicking_ I
One of the things I love about this channel is its consistency: high quality, long-form, regular publishing schedule, engaging visuals and a tight, witty script. Don’t change a thing. At our house we love you just the way you are!
I look forward to these 20+ minute videos each Saturday Marcus.
I love the long format!! Please no shorts haha. More videos Please, even if they are like 10 minutes. Your deep dives are some of my favorite videos!! So good! Keep up the great work!
I really like this channel. Comprehensive, consistent, and not just covering SpaceX.
Its a Space X show first and other space updates second.
@@TheAlchemisificationand it covers everything so well, and with non-bias. I love the Aussies!
No format changes, please, Marcus! Your carefully researched, logically presented videos are the complete opposite of clickbait! You are a treasure!
Marcus your an absolute legend. Rounding up all space news in a week then consistently doing it every week. Honestly can’t thank you enough.
Don't change a thing Marcus, the weekly roundup and deep dives are perfect. Shorts are for the hard of thinking!
Marcus, your channel is the best as far as I'm concerned in this type of conveying information to your audience. You have hit up on a winning combination of assembling and delivering, both audio and visual information to your listeners in a way that our brains can just soak it up like a sponge soaks up water. Do not ever change anything with your format, there's nothing to fix if nothing is broken.
Thank you and your co-workers for doing such a great job!!!!! 💛👍🏻
Please just keep on doing what you know works. I love to turn in on my Saturday night and hear “hay hay”. It marks me so happy. Thank you to your team and yourself.
Even thought I watch all the nasaspaceflight videos I always come back to this channel to get a recap because your videos are just so good
Yes Love your current presentation, don’t change a thing. Look forward to it every Saturday!
Don’t change - you are my favorite part of starting Saturday morning.
Wow! I was on the road for a week and was able to get caught up on everything in 22 minutes!
Your show is excellent the way it has been for the several years I have faithfully watched. I thought 20 minutes was short form….I will always appreciate more and longer content from Marcus House.
As well as many others here, I love the long form videos you do, I hope you don’t have to change.
Marcus the consensus seems to be no shorts and no changes. Your format is consistent, comprehensive, informative, exciting, and well damn GOOD! I would like to see even a longer segment of your program. I just can't get enough of your show, it just isn't long enough!
I've been following you since the days of KSP. You were one of the guys that I always came back to when I didn't understand something on the game. Since then a few years has passed and you brought me along for the real life space journey. Thank you! I enjoy being up to date with what's happening at SpaceX and your channel is one of the best to keep in the know. Congrats on the evolution so far. This form you're doing at the moment is great! Not too long and not not too short. I enjoy it like this.
KSP's still around; the sequel is just 11 days away...
I love the channel because it's the one place on RUclips that I know will consistently cover absolutely everything that happened during the prior week in spaceflight. You are the weekly news for the space community on RUclips and I appreciate that consistent format, don't change a thing!
Marcus please keep this format, shorts can capture attention, but I really appreciate this round up each week as it means I can get all the news from one source.
getting all the news from one source surely seems like a good idea...
Your report in this format is a highlight each week and we are grateful.
Marcus, I watch a lot of you tubers on Spacex. And, there are a lot of good ones out there. That said, my Saturday mornings in California would be lost without you publishing your video. You are the only one I will not miss an episode. Keep up the good work. You need to do a road trip for some live coverage!
Love the coverage from one end of the space spectrum to the other without bias towards one ( cough..SpaceX ) or the other.
Love the weekly coverage, always look forward to Saturdays. Also love the long video format!
Your present programmes are perfect in length and content and obviously quality.Cheers till the next one.
Please don't ever change the way the show is. It's an absolutely perfect format for what you do. If you did start to make shorts, I wouldn't see them. I hate them so much that I have something that filters all shorts out of my subscription page, so I only ever see regular videos.
Marcus, I really like the format you use now. I look forward to the weekly updates and always like the deep dive videos you make. Keep up the fantastic work.
As always, I love your enthusiasm and overview of the week in space programs. I would suggest keeping this as is. If you want to do a mid-week mini short on something of interest to you, that would be good. Some content creators go into heavy details or just raw data. Keep up your great job of interconnecting the loose pieces to help us get a good understanding of what is going on.
Love your format and release schedule. Shorts are addictive but not rewarding snd likely to be cut from viewing patterns when people feel saturated with them. But your content is enjoyable and fulfilling. I look forward to your updates.
Marcus, your format is great, occasional deep dives are outstanding. I agree with several comments that your punctual and reliable uploads are a key for me. Keep up the great work.
Thanks Marcus and to the entire team, the coverage provided is what I love every week 👍
The best Saturday morning briefing you can watch 🤗🔝 thanks for another immersive video ✌🏻
Marcus - a weekly 20 min update is perfect! And various deep dives by topic area are clever and well received. You have the right formula. You can't do world wide space progress on TikTok - nor do any of us want you to do that. Keep up the awesome channel. Thank you to you, your team and all of the other team members that provide you wonderful visuals and information. Very WELL DONE!
😎
Thank you *Marcus.* Your recaps are excellent as always. I get my weekly fix of *SpaceX* news first thing *Saturday* mornings like clockwork. 👍
Thank you, Marcus. Your content is always No.1 on my subscription list. The best space news always seems to come from your thoughtfully put together videos. Nobody else packages content in understandable, quick bites like you. There is never nonsense or fluff (except when your humor gives me a smile!). Keep up your great work! Ahhhh ... it was cool seeing you in the LabPadre chat for the '33 raptor' fire. Stay safe my friend!
Was waiting for this one when I saw SpaceX had uploaded the static fire video.
Marcus !
Thank you for your time and talent.
Great information .
Great coverage with no time wasting fluff !
Sincerely, Very much appreciated .
Thank you for freely crediting Gregg with the video footage, very classy
Thank you Marcus, for providing a really fantastic source of information thats to the point and without waffle. this format is just right i think and please dont change it :)
Keep things how they are. I actively keep up with the rest of the industry during the week but I look forward to my Saturday morning video with Marcus while having coffee and I always see something that I missed and I like getting your perspective on topics. Keep up the great work.
Great job, Marcus and team. Congrats spacex I like the deeper dives watch with my kids
I look forward to every one of your videos each Saturday with genuine enthusiasm. Thank you!
Don’t change a thing with the video formats Marcus (unless it brings you happiness to do so, of course!)
These long videos covering lots of topics are a perfect start to Saturday mornings for us in the U.S.! I look forward to them each week as others have said.
Thank you for all your hard work!
As always : quality information about space & space-X
Keep doing exactly what you're doing Marcus. Great way to catch up on the week's proceedings, and all with that familiar Aussie accent!
Your format is great Marcus. You can evolve but don't lose the base. The Best Team with the Best Host 💪💪💪
I don’t even notice these changes in YT because all I ever watch are my space and skiing subscriptions. Keep up the good work!
Don't change your format Marcus - your vids are great! I am always amazed by the amount of info you are able to squeeze into 20 -25 minutes. Also, I do not consider your videos long at all - they are actually one of the shortest that i watch :D
Marcus, i like what you are doing and how you are doing it. i hope you dont change. you have the right amount of information and the right length of time on your videos. i love them.
really appreciate your regular updates, Marcus! Your format makes for an enjoyable dinner for me rather than a boring one, thank you. - sincerely, your loyal Malaysian space fan.
Thanks Marcus ! I'm so gassed to see the first Starship orbital flight ! March can't get here fast enough 🚀
Thanks for the hard work Marcus, I look forward to these every Saturday and always smash that like button for ya, keep up the good work!
Marcus, we value your consistency in publishing your videos weekly as well as the multitude of content in a concise and fluent delivery. 👍 Keep up the good work. RUclips will have to learn to adapt to it's viewers and not the other way around!
Great descriptions, Marcus ..! Gives a glimpse of being you in the Starship ecosystem channels.
Tough but great going. 👍
Format is excellent and needs no change, in my opinion. You have found a great balance of intelligent content at a fast pace which means you don't have to pander to short attention spans. Thank you.
Unbelievable show of power from those engines. Absolutely glorious. Man I so can't wait. SpaceX is moving at lightning speed all leading up to the orbital launch of starship. Just really hoping that march is the month for this beast to fly. Great to see that Vulcan Centaur is inching ever closer to it's maiden flight as well. Good coverage as always Marcus! You never miss with these videos
Thank you Marcus, for quality presentation of quality information. Kudos!
Good Morning, great video as always. I believe they are building a 3rd to be a catching tower. It would significantly reduce the risk of damaging the launch site and the cost of a catch tower would be significantly lower too.
loved how you have added different measurement systems in a side bar, fab, great innovation Marcus
The parts are probably just spare segments for the tower, when they go for a catch and have a rud, they will need to quickly disassemble the damage tower and rebuild it.
If you want to add those other formats to what you already do, sure, but I love the current format and keep coming back each week for the long format content which is just amazing! Thank you and the team for all you do 🙂
Love the level of dive you do in your videos. Great footage and intel.
Don't change anything. What you do is great and very informative. Thank you.
Regularity is key for me. I can set aside the time to watch all your awesome content at the same time each week. I think that is a big thing.
Marcus - your videos are great as they are. I guess I’m old enough I don’t have the attention span of a goldfish, so I’m happy with your longer format - always informative and to the point - no pointless padding! Keep up the good work team.
At 9:52 - I see that LC-49 is to be where LC-39C was originally planned to be (you can see how the kink in the roadway from the VAB branches off to 39B from a road which points towards the planned 39C).
SpaceX and NASA are already working with the FAA on that. I have no idea how far along the planning for LC--39C got, so who knows what approvals that area might already have. With Playalinda beach being so close, it will be interesting to see where exactly they put it.
Thanks Marcus! Your videos are literally the (RUclips) highlight of my week! Really look forward to them 😊
Marcus. I think that 3rd tower in Florida is going to be a catch tower only. Falcon 9 lands in a separate zone.... NASA is probably requiring it so they can protect the launch site. Just a thought.
No shorts. Keep doing what you're doing. Shorts just add clutter without a lot of benefit. Your 20-ish minute videos each week are so appreciated and informative.
Thank you Marcus for your dedicated work!
I personally don't mind shorts, but I much prefer the length of content you produce on a regular basis. You and your team do a fantastic job.
Would be interesting to hear how they monitor these engines and why one might be turned off.
Marcus, I really appreciate all the work you put in: the fact that you are genuinely interested in it, genuinely passionate and enthusiastic and your content is informative and well edited. Please don't change your format, it is watchable, not too long and not too short. The whole "shorts" thing seems like a dumbing down to the lowest common denominator to me and not a good thing for either the creators or the IQ of the watchers. (I honestly think it is shortening the attention span of the watching public).
31 was close enough! Love your coverage Marcus....space news isn't real for me until it's in a House video 😁
With Rockets, close enough doesn't work. If this was NASA or any other launch provider, they would retest to make sure ALL engines function properly. In addition, they would run at full throttle, not 1/2 power.
@@pebmets No they wouldn't. Watch the SLS launch again. Issues happen. Now NASA along with SpaceX will try to find out the causes and correct them.
Further, the engines have already been tested at full power and full mission duration. Just not while attached to the booster.
@@anthonypelchat The first Green Run of the core stage of SLS did not go full duration. That is why they ran a 2nd test. The RS25s were each test individually as well, then the second phase was with all 4 on the core stage.
@@pebmets Keep going. Even though there were sensor issues on launch day, they still flew. Further, SLS had a different means of testing everything. SpaceX tests each engine numerous times at full duration.
Outside of the whole SLS vs Starship thing, either way it comes down to what is actually being tested. If the issue is well understood and didn't interfere with the actual test requirements, then there is no reason to delay. Further, SLS was launching an actual mission for it's first launch. Starship is still going to be testing for it's first launch. At best they will add some Starlink sats to the first launch, only risking there own money.
@@anthonypelchat Shuttle had sensor issues as well during launch along with almost every launch vehicle experiencing such as issue at one time or another. When is comes to the engines., the answer can't be, they almost all worked so we are go for launch. All I am saying, why rush? Do another test to make sure all 33 can get up to full throttle together, Starship version of the green run.
Marcus, I think the third tower is going to be initially a catching only tower, that way until it’s perfected they don’t destroy the launch mount which we all know takes forever to build.
Marcus your existing format has brought you 453k subscribers so it must be working. My only advice is that on slow news weeks, don’t try to pad out to 20 minutes: if you’ve only got enough material for a 15 minute snappy video, then just do 15 minutes, not that there ever seems to be a slow week for space news. Keep up the great work.
Love the current format for the depth and detail and being able to really sink into space news for a short time each week - short form for any of this would be rubbish!
Must be Saturday night. Marcus is in the house! 👍
Must be Saturday morning for me!
I'm grateful for you too Marcus! I look forward to your videos every week and absolutely love the ancillary deep dives! You're right, modern RUclips is almost unrecognisable compared to the platform I started using in 2007. I was a little late to the scene.
20kW from a solar array!? Amazing technology - I clearly need to go study this a bit more, that figure blew my mind. And totally agree with everyone here Marcus - I've watched you on Twitter asking about this 'short vid' thing - please please keep to the current format - thank you
Exactly what I was thinking. I am an old SATCOM Army guy. The newer tech is amazing. The transmitters on that bird must be many times more efficient than the ones I learned back in the day.
Solar panels are constantly getting more efficient. Not sure if they are even using the most efficient available. Being in space helps a bit too.
Still, these aren't really what you would buy. Going to be very expensive. Cheaper panels are still good and cost is more important to anyone on the planet.
@@JeromyBranch Yeah I admit my last involvement in this field was in the early '90s as a UK MoD Prime Contractor - wish I'd kept my clearance up!
I always look forward to getting my cup of coffee and watching these videos when I wake up Saturday morning
Thanks Marcus, that was awesome! 🚀 I always enjoy your presentation and personality. Anyways, I don’t know what I’m looking forward to the most; the first launch, or the first catch. Both are going to be EPIC! Seriously, Elon and his SpaceX team are at the helm of some of the biggest advances in technology in human history. He should be Time magazine’s Man of the Decade. 🏅
No short stories--just keep up with the amazing work you're already doing.
You and your team do an absolutely awesome job and this formant is perfect, its very rare I watch any "shorts", I dont know if RUclips is trying to compete with or attract the Tiktok crowd LOL but for me I like to settle down and watch a 20-30 minute.
Marcus, I discovered your channel at the start of the pandemic, and since then it's been my weekly go-to for space mission updates - always fascinating, amazing images & videos, coverage of activity world-wide, and your clear explanations and inspiring enthusiasm. I hope you can continue with this important work, for both subscribers and contributors. Thank you for re-igniting my enthusiasm for rocketry!
Another excellent serving of space goodness. .
The static fire was a thing of beauty. .
Thank you MH + Team for the upload!
I have noticed far fewer drop outs on my rural Starlink setup. Especially when streaming video compared to last August. I do think the hundreds of Starlink Satellites launched since then has made a significant difference.
Keep upmthe great work!
Given how those static fires are going for the launch pad.... breaking ground is the perfect term.
Don’t change. Keep it like usual, that’s what I like.
HATE the shorts.... Love your work and all you and the team are doing!
We watch every week in our house and do not think you should change a thing! ❤
I really enjoy this format Marcus!
You are awesome and a huge part of the mental fuel I need to get through my week. Your weekly video sessions are precious to me.
You could make your videos an hour long and I would happily watch all of it. Keep it up brother.
Please change your intro to “Marcus House is in the haus!” 😳
Fantastic video as always, thanks for the update and can’t wait for this flight 🤯🤯🤯
RUclips may be devolving but you are keeping it real Marcus! Don't change what you're doing as it's the best weekly Space news round-up out there! 🍻🚀
You bet! your coverage and analysis is...Amazing! And yes, your use of LabPadre & RGV REALLY brings it all together!
