On my iPhone 11, ghost touch only works on the lock screen, other than that, it doesn't do anything in applications, and when it does, it gets fixed when you lock and unlock, and this is rare.

I put my iphone 11 on Assistive Touch and it worked wonders. It's not a permanent fix but as long as you put the touch icon away from the problem areas on you phone it will regain normal function
