YU Peng Chen is the best musician of the 21st century

Unironically. If he can keep this level of quality up for another 10 years, he'd be spoken of in the same breaths as the likes of beethoven and Tchaikovsky and Mozart as truly timeless and GREAT musicians.
Even now, his work in Genshin has already solidified him as, like you said, the best musician of our century. I've shown his works in Genshin in the likes of Azhdaha and Childe battle theme to Jolt in the Forest to so many of my friends from music school and they are always amazed and go "WHAT?!!! HOW IS THE BEST CLASSICAL MUSIC RIGHT NOW IN A VIDEOGAME FROM CHINA AT THIS LEVEL OF TEXTURE AND MUSICALITY?!" They never ended up playing Genshin but we nerd out over the music ALL the time.
We still do after he left, especially with the likes of Fontaine main theme and some such but Yu-Peng Chen's legacy is already solidified by his phenomenal track record in Genshin.
I miss him in Genshin so much, I really hope he'll do some collab pieces for Snezhnaya.
I dream of being a composer that can move people with so much creativity, instrumentality and ability to take risks and make them work like he is able to one day.

He's extremely talented, but the best of the 21st century? I don't think so, there's person like Koji Kondo, or Joe Hisaishi.
Here's the thing, when people talk about video game music, people will always talk about Nintendo game music, because Nintendo game music is very good, maybe some will talk about Genshin Music, but Nintendo music is like magic, even if you didn't even play Nintendo games, you'll definitely heard some of them, but I can't say with Genshin or more specific to Yu Peng Chen, don't get me wrong, I love Yu Peng Chen, I played Genshin since 1.0, and I absolutely love the music, especially the music from first summer event, Golden Apple Archipelago music is fantastic, but I can't say that was the best of the 21st century, there's still many talented composer, maybe if Yu Peng Chen can still improve his music, maybe he can become the GOAT, but for now I don't think he is.

    His strictness never ceases😅
I remember in his inazuma behind video and he was and is just as perfectionist as ever. But it also means he holds a very high standard to his craft
Thank you for always bringing wonderful music, Chen laoshi🙏🙏 I cried a lot listening to this album😢

I was thinking the same thing, but that's what makes the music so beautiful when you have a good composer leading you and a conductor to blend their interpretations together

I cannot begin to describe how much bliss this magical album has given me, even after just a couple listens. I was either crying or grinning from ear to ear the whole time. As a classical musician, I've heard and played A LOT of music, but this album is, to date, the most beautiful music I've ever heard. Thank you, everyone who put your heart and soul into producing this album. It shows. If this is the future for orchestral/classical music, I could not be more excited.

It’s a bold guess, perhaps this song ‘Goodbye, My Friend’ was dedicated to his teacher, Shinji Tanimura😭😭😭
    Love your music ❤,陈老师。加油!

Very beautiful! I'm so glad the vocals of the children were used in a music piece in the Fantasyland Album. It kinda reminds me of one of the OSTs made for Dragonspine in Genshin Impact, which is very nostalgic. Children vocals tend to bring some form of togetherness and innocence when it's presented in a music piece, and I'm glad it was presented it so well here! All in all, great work, Yu-Peng Chen and Crew!

Pretty much impossible to NOT be reminded of things when the melody being used is so simple (not a bad thing) - literally just 4 notes in sequence ascending and descending back to its base. It's very innocent and sweet, like a child going out and returning safely back home after an afternoon playing in the snow.
