It is as if Katya D. were inside the innermost creative thought processes of Haydn himself! Her playing is so exquisitely sensitive while at the same time displaying a formidable technique, but always at the service of the music and its very ideas. Katya's traversal of all the Haydn piano sonatas (a 9 CD boxed set on the "Profil" label) is absolutely legendary and beyond anything I've heard over the years. Mind you I recorded all the concerts at the Yale Collection of Musical Instruments for thirty years - and elsewhere - all classical - so I've heard a great deal :)

I couldn't agree more about the GREATNESS of this pianist. Exquisite, breath taking technique, musicianship to match: the lot.An artist of genius! Her Bach and Rameau interpretations are simply extraordinary - also on RUclips and very addictives.
