What needs to happen is the outdoors men and women need to band together and form their own channel,and have ads from the firearm makers,bow companies,trap makers,trapper supply houses,arrow companies,ammunition companies,and all the other various outdoor driven companies,outdoor recreation is hundreds of billions of dollars revenue,this is just my opinion

Problem is, no one would find it. Same thing as like selling your stuff on Ebay and Amazon, EVERYONE goes there to buy stuff. Facebook is another one. I have heard folks complaining it's basically an anti-trust issue. Google, Facebook, and Amazon, they're the new Monopoly. A marketing friend told me this.
I'd rather watch your channel all season than any Netflix or tv hands down
I think this is basically the whole point. The powers that be have realized that little one man shows with no budget or overhead are completely blowing them away. I don't think I've watched Jackie Bushman or Jim Shockey in over 10 years. The bullshit fades fast with good content and the big guys are having to explain why their half a million dollar budgets arn't turning a profit.
I feel the same way dude I'd rather watch his channel to than watching other garbage my RUclips is going downhill thanks to Google destroying every damn thing hell every damn half-day own they've destroyed they messed up every app they own every damn app Google owns under their belt they have literally destroyed Gmail Google search at the photos app the Hangouts the Google Chrome and even Google Drive even this app RUclips they don't care about nothing but their stupid dumbass self... I totally hate the way Google is doing things I have nothing good to say about Google anymore are you still on Google in the past when RUclips was fine when RUclips had lots of videos you could comment you could chat you could share videos with somebody on channels you could exchange pictures and videos you could do all that fun stuff in hell they took it away from us all now and that's dirty and their damn it getting away with it and it ain't right I'm so sick and tired of 500 million fucking ads on RUclips here I haven't seen one video where there was no ads not one video and they cut the damn videos off after the end of every video you see boxes covering up the damn video so you can't even see the end of the video anymore and that's terrible star billion dollar company ain't nothing but the damn devil on Earth. Well I must say people this is Donald from Georgia and I'm going to say this but we're in the hell and we're facing hell people we're all facing hell because of Google and their doings there changes and they're getting damn scot-free away from it the law ain't doing nothing about it because they bought the law off that's exactly why they bought off the social media they bought off all the consumers the give them good suppose they give them good comments but they're buying everybody off so nobody can do a damn thing about Google they're like Untouchable you can't touch him because they have just done so much damage to everything and it's sad and I hope what goes around comes around Google will get theirs when they destroy and pissed away RUclips in the next year too I won't even give it that long people are really going to be pissed and I hope people put their foot down and stand up for your damn rights as an American citizen say no more this shit are doing too much wrong shit and they're getting away with it and they're messing every damn thing up they're sucking everything out of our world into their damn computers fuck you Google you ain't no damn good

It's a real shame. Lots of channels I enjoy got hit hard. I've just recently found your channel and I tell you what I learn so much from you and the way you go through the processes step by step . Enjoy your videos very much. And learn a lot! It's a real shame everyone's so soft now a day. Something we've been doing for hundreds of years hunting and trapping living off the land people think is not acceptable and get demonetized really grinds my gears. This hit my channel hard as well... puts us as creators in a sticky situation that truly seems like a loose, loose. I’ve been watching your channel for the past couple years and have learned nearly everything I know off of what you have shown. Your channel is one of my top channels along side the leatherwoods boys. It’s truly a shame that RUclips is pushing the hunting and trapping community out. I’m in the same situation with over 200 videos getting demonetized. I’ve started a paypal donation page right through my RUclips channel that has worked out great! I’m also going to be selling shirts and hats to make up for all the lost revenue. Just giving you a few ideas as well. I hope you can find away to fill that revenue gap as well. The entire situation is just really disheartening. Thanks for all the hard work you put into these videos. I know what it takes and you do a great job! Keep up the good work and as soon as another platform comes about we will say ✌️to RUclips and all there Hillary loving tree hugging liberals.

Man your instructional fur handling videos are some of the best. This is just my second year trapping and I never would have figured out how to properly skin and flesh properly without watching some of your vids. When I took the state trapping course to get my license the instructors actually played some of your RUclips videos to demonstrate how to handle fur. Keep up the good work and whatever you decide I'm sure most if not all your subscribers will follow. Thanks again for the great videos.

I think that all of the outdoor channels need to get together and start a new platform for videos. In conjunction with conservative/free speech channels. Whatever you do Stu I'm pretty sure that everyone here with me will support your decision buddy!

Yeah. All outdoor channels. Guns, hunting, trapping, fishing, prepping, bushcraft, and survival. Other outdoor channels also beyond these. All are under censorship attack. All channels are at risk. RUclips is violating its own rules. Censoring our voice rather than giving us a voice like they say. Hit the help button at the bottom of your channel page and tell them under feedback to stop the censorship. I am not making and posting any videos until I see what RUclips does after all these pending censorship law suits. Until I know how this turns out I cannot see making and posting more videos that RUclips may just censor. I am not stopping putting up videos but I am waiting for now until this is resolved.
For money though we might have to go commercial and find sponsors but the rest of us where gear is not used or very little to no gear cannot do that for advertising. Our sponsors if need be would have to come from groups that benefit from our videos. None of this does any good if videos are restricted, hidden, or removed by RUclips.
Pretty much all of RUclips is based on channels that have less than 1000 subscribers
Stu, you have more than 20k subscribers and have been a reference for so many people. I believe your content is strong enough to find acceptance wherever platform you go. Your videos are just amazing and educational, keep it up.

I'm not a fan of Patreon, but if you go that way, I'll follow. The majority of my fur handling knowledge has come from watching your video's over and over again. I'm not able to trap near as much as I'd want to, but really enjoy the time that I do. Please keep your video's coming. What ever way you go, please keep us updated...

They demonetized some of mine too.... not sure what to do.. I have a patreon just for some interviews of houndsmen that I did ..trying to get some support .. got some haven't pursued it like I should will be busy hunting this winter

Loving your videos and will follow no matter where you decide to go. What I'm not getting is if they have demonetized videos, how can they still run commercials on the videos? So what youtube is doing is selling air time on your channel to advertisers and not reimbursing you for it. Don't you have to authorize the commercials being played on your videos? If your not getting any monetary compensation for the adds shouldn't they no longer be playing? I am willing to bet there will be a big lawsuit over this and freedom of speech. There are some BIG name and BIG revenue producers for youtube on here in the outdoor industry. The way I see it if they pull your monetary compensation they should pull everybody's that is in the hunting, fishing outdoor industry as well as the advertisements on everybodys videos.

Yea it's seems strange to me and I don't find what I search guess it's not there.
You are highly talked about on Facebook not saying it's an option for your videos but might want to look into getting onto it and using it! You are mentioned on the trapping talk page quite often! A lot of people like what you do!
Have you tried to appeal the demonization of your videos? I read an article that youtube developed filters that a machine uses to flag videos and a lot of peoples videos are being flagged but after an appeal they are remonetized. Sounds like this might be the case for you if you appeal.......
I don't know how Vimeo does it, but they do seem more friendly to hunting and fishing content. RUclips is just flat out stealing from the creators. As others have mentioned, many of us would be willing to buy DVD's of your instructional videos.
And it is not just the outdoor and gun channels. David Pakman, a very liberal channel, is also being demonetized. Yankee Marshall gets demonetized as soon as he publishes, and then when he protests, and after the majority of the views have been had, they say ok, it's not that bad we guess. They are stealing, and there is no other way to explain it.
Sounds like a real pain in the ass that they are doing that. I hope you dont let that stop you from posting your videos. I really enjoy watching your videos and have learned a lot, from traps, to fleshing and tanning... I appreciate your efforts. I know that doesnt do anything for you financially but I am glad that you have done what you have thus far. I hope you survive the financial blow and keep on posting... I love your channel!

I have watched all of your videos on trapping and fur handling. I'm 61 years old. I started trapping in the late 1970s. I have learned much from your channel. I've enjoyed watching and rewatching your videos. I hope that you work out a solution that fits your needs and allows you to stick around. I would try to support you

That sucks. All your videos are educational. By far one of the most informative on u tube. Myself pretty ignorant to the topic. Just know I look forward to your videos. Always learn something. Shame on u tube. If there is a place to tell them that on your behalf be glad too.
What you teach is a dying art. It's part of our history and needs to be part of our future. It is a skill that is sanctioned by most states fish and wildlife departments. Carried out by licensed people who pay more, do more and have greater knowledge and RESPECT for nature and wildlife than any tree hugger.
I can't pay to harvest game, utilizing meat and fur, supporting open spaces and wildlife.
But it's okay for them to build condos in a deer yard and run them over with their Volvos and file an insurance claim. So all are rates go up.

sorry to hear bout this. it was a problem for a lot of people. the big issue is that they got a robot doing these things automatically and its been making huge mistakes. i know theres ways for you to appeal and get your shit re-reviewed and monitized again, good luck and keep trappin
You put the word "sucks" on the title. I've seen this as an issue for a lot of people. I got demonitized on a bunch of mine but I went back are remonitized them lol. If you change the word to "stinks" it would probably not have been so quickly. I could be wrong but, I'd bet that's why it was so fast to punish you. Love your videos though man! You rock brother.

Not sure if it's too late, and I really don't know about the app, but I've heard some RUclipsrs talk about an app called Vimeo. I really don't know if it's made for specific videos or if there is a profit from it but worth a shot!

Hey this happened to be I just push the request manual review and even though it says you must have 1000 views and all that after a month or 2 they removed the yellow and put back up a green dollars sign.
Sorry that this is happening to your channel. RUclips demonetization is hittiing my channel as well. My advice is to get creative with your title/metatags/video description as this is how the RUclips algorithm is catching videos for immediate demonetization. Once I've fixed some titles (i.e butchering a rabbit to preparing rabbit for supper) the video is remonetized. Otherwise your best bet is to put 90% of your content on Patreon with teasers from your RUclips channel to direct people to patreon.

Yep, got a few that are demonitzed as well. Kind of a bummer since most of arent making a killing anyways.
What might be the answer to all of this is going to an outdoor tech company like CarbonTV, and see about creating a video sharing website similar to youtube but for hunting, fishing, and the outdoors. You'd have advertisement from Realtree, Cabelas, etc. If there was an option such as that I think a lot of people would rather go to a site like then go to youtube.

I think its sad that they are doing this to you guys. I started trapping at the end of the season last year, if it wasn't for guys like you, Predator Control Group, Backwood's Trapper, Jeff Dunlop, etc. I would be lost. I've been watching y'all's videos since season ended. I can also see why you are upset. Over half of the stuff on RUclips is CRAP, but they probadly still support them. Idk about social media but I would buy some T-shirts if you went that route.
I have went from 10 or so coyotes a year to last year i put up 275 dogs. Don't get discouraged your channel has helped a lot going to try and start my own this fall. Them tree huggers can kiss my ass.
It's a lot of work, but Sponsorship works. Get money from Duke Traps, or Minnesota Brand or other trapping supply companies. You flash their logos during your videos or talk about their products and they pay you because you have engaged audience. You have great view numbers so I'm sure some of them would want to put their products or logos in front of your viewers. Good luck! Love the videos!!

I'm sorry to hear this. The old ways of living are disappearing in the popular sect, but they remain very much alive and necessary in REAL LIFE. Keep it up. A message for RUclips: money is money, pick your battles, but support those with educational content that doesn't threaten people or animals. Do your research, hunters and trappers do more for wildlife conservation than any of the ear worms that may have influenced your decision to deem this genera as offensive.
That sucks that youtube did this hope you find a better option to this problem.

I produce for a large channel. Android Authority, it's a tech channel with 2.8M subs. I have experience with this. I do agree that a combination of patreon and selling detailed instructional videos for those of your hardcore audience that need more, is the way to go. If it is good, they will be willing to pay for it. You can also sell your own gear or become an affiliate for another company. But I think the first two options can be done right away. I sure don't want to cause any problems but I really think it sucks how they are doing the people in your position. I'm new to your channel but have really enjoyed it.
