    The thing is that this will last forever whereas we all know that the BMW will not. Lexus keeps that in mind when they build their cars... they've been number one in long term reliability and they want to keep that title.

    I think it looks great, Lexus makes the best and most comfortable seats in the industry, and a 0-60 of 7.8 equals mid 6s at sea level, which is fast enough!
    That and i don't have to worry about the running cost and the re-sale value

    • @yk6474
      @yk6474 3 года назад +2

      Quality is not that good compare with European competitors, cheap plastics are everywhere, and the ride quality is also not as good as Mercedes, BMW, and Audi. Toyota usually use dated technology to make sure the reliability. I thing the key points of Lexus are cheaper price, lower maintenance cost, and good reliability.

      Many car enthusiasts care more about what's under the hood and how it performs than how it looks. It's always good to know. Then you look at how nice it is afterwards. The boldness of it helps justify some of the expensiveness of it in my opinion. Its so weak performance wise I would never buy it if it wasn't.

    I was disappointed with the NX on my test drive. My wife's car is an X1 with the 2.0t I wanted similar power and drive characteristics but a little more cargo space. 1. the X1 feels a lot faster. 2.The cargo area height from floor to headliner isn't tall enough for mountain bikes, big dogs and other things I put in my car. I drove non Fancy-pants brands that are also available with 2.0 turbo engines (Furester XT, Kia Sportage, Hyundai Tucson, Ford Escape) and they all felt faster, some handled just as well. The fully loaded versions of the aforementioned cars can be had for about $10k less than a modestly optioned NX. One thing I'll give the lexus is that the interior is better... just not 10g better. I ended up with an Escape

    Ive had the X1 and it's definitely not worth the money. I purchased the 2019 NX300 FSport, and with quality, no comparison. Reliability and the cost to maintain, I will leave BMW to others. I did give them a second chance and purchased a 2014 328i. Again, I will leave BMW to someone else.Great review.

    The problem I have is you HAVE TO get the red and black interior to get the F-Sport grille. I should be able to have a regular interior and the F-Sport grille. F-Sport only offers one interior, which sucks. Lexus has a cashmere interior for the NX that is amazingly lux, but you can't get it with the F-Sport grille.

    • @LlyleHunter
      @LlyleHunter 9 лет назад

      Evander Smart I agree. They are the only luxury brand in their price range that makes perfect sense to me but not having a choice in interior colors in this car was a major mistake. Actually I really like most Lexi (if that's the plural for Lexus) but I think that this particular one is sort of a missed swing in my book. It may sell well initially but I think that once the Lexus moms in their 30s have purchased it sales may fall off.

      The problem is it's a sub-$50,000 dressed up Rav 4. It's chintzy, right down to the economy car sound the doors make when they close, to the ridiculously overstyled "exterior". What a joke

    • @EvanderSmart
      @EvanderSmart 9 лет назад

      You're a joke. It shares a platform with the Rav4. If you call it a Rav4, you lose all credibility, and you haven't been in it, so cut the BS. Nobody is buying what BS you're selling. People with money and credit buy the Lexus NX, not your lies. Deal with it.

      The Fast Lane Car Well, they are, in terms of reliability, performance, technology and pricing, the Lexus has always been and still is the best in terms of what they do. Lexus had Auto-Parking cars(LS460/L, 2007) and Side-View cameras(LX570, 2008) etc. that companies such as Range Rover did not even know existed, proof is my father's 2009 Range Rover Sport Supercharged(2009) and my mother's LS460L(2009). My father's car didn't even have back-up cameras when my mother's car had parallel parking and auto-parking brakes with reclining seats and a 19-speaker Mark Levinson Surround system and my aunt has an Audi A8(2010) and my other aunt has a mercedes-benz S500(2012) and none of them are as comfortable as my mom's LS460L, which Roman even slept in in your LS460L review. It is so clean unlike mercedes or audi which have buttons everywhere, and never fails to entertain me. But in my aunts' cars, I get bored easily, and seeing that mess makes me feel claustrophobic in the small space that gets boring really quick, because their technology is outdated. Also, they do not have massage seats that even my Grandpa's LS430 (2002) has, and they don't portray the person driving it. I think people buy Audi and Mercedes for showing of or standing out rather than comfort and reliability, but even though my mother has an LS460L, when I see LS's, my head turns, but Audis do not appeal to me as much, because it was made by boring people for boring people.

    • @xxbingettinghumbled3032
      @xxbingettinghumbled3032 9 лет назад +1

      Tell Roman to read the above and then consider saying the compete, because the harsh fact is, they're top of the line and don't compete with any brand.

    • @ChairmanKimchi
      @ChairmanKimchi 9 лет назад +5

      What you make no sense. Lexus doesn't compete with any brand? Actually you may be right....you know why? Because Lexus is getting trashed by other luxury brands right now. They are were way behind, so the only way they could fight back was with value. Which is why Lexus has so many options standard. Its german competition is far ahead in terms of handling, power train' transmission, MPGs, and interior quality. lexus fan boys always cry about reliability. Cool story, german cars these days have gotten very reliable. However, the average buyer honestly doesn't understand the first thing of maintaining their vehicle. So you can blame the brand for being unreliable. Our families had german and Japanese luxury vehicles. ( BMW, Acura, Lexus, Mercedes) and by far, the german cars were more fun to drive and much better built. The harsh reality is that Lexus as a brand is behind. Their design language sucks. They lost the Lexus soul of being a grand comfort vehicle. They are now trying to be something that they never were great at. If you complain about german vehicles being expensive to maintain...you probably shouldn't be affording a luxury vehicle in the first place then. The fact that Acura is quickly passing Lexus in terms,of driving fun and design should raise red flags for you Lexus fan boys. The new Tlx and Ilx are certainly cars that make sense. Look at the NX...it looks like child's play....look at the IS, it looks like a car that a gangster thug asian teen drives now. This is reality sir.

      You're gonna compare an AWD SUV to a 2 stage tuned 4 banger Front wheel drive Civic that barely weighs 3100lbs, if that, to the Lexus that weighs over 4,000lbs and has only a 2.0 with a small turbo and is only making 236hp, and running at 1 mile above sea level, ? Take out your tune and run them stock vs stock, factoring in power to weight ratio, and also the much larger front end and higher off the ground Lexus that catches way more wind drag..and the ending will be a lot different. PS, you're not running 0-60 in less than 5 seconds in a street driven car, with factory tires, skinny tires at that..Without A turbo!
