    Sir is there any relationship between D and (+ ) or L and ( - )sign?

      D & L Configuration is relative configuration..so it is based on gyceraldehyde as a reference...D & L is just shows place of -OH group..whether it is right side (D) or left side (L)..& (+) & (-) sign shows..whether molecule is optically active or not..if it is optically acticve or rotate on right side after passing thorugh PPL..it is written as (+) /(d)..& of it rotate on left side then (-)/(l)..so thing is D configuration may have (+) or (-) and also L configuration also may have (+) or (-) rotation..so there is no relation between D/L & (+)/(-)...
