Requests: Zebrahead or Incubus. Zebrahead had success with being on the soundtrack to Tony Hawk’s PlayStation and Xbox games and being on the soundtrack to Adam Sandler’s “Little Nicky”. After their frontman Justin left they just didn’t sound the same. Incubus started out as a funk metal band with insane musicianship for their age. Their music came out around the same time as nu-metal peaked in popularity. Then they fired their bass player and their musical style completely changed to be pop-rock crap. There could be an interesting story there. Either way, keep up the videos!

I started listening to them right in 2002, highly evolved is one of my all times favorite albums, the ones where I don't skip a single track. Winning days has some weak songs (tv pro, evil town) but also real masterpieces such as animal machine, winning days, amnesia. Vision valley is a bop, all the songs are there to be hummed and stay in your head forever. Melodia is their weakest work, however even in it there are beautiful songs like orange amber and true as the nigh. With future primitive they were trying to experiment with sound, 'all that you do' is an amazing song, wicked nature is a double disc with interesting moments like 'good enough', in miracle land works well in all its parts. Even if they certainly have lost the perfect balance of their beginning -that dark edge of highly evolved (title track, in the jungle, 1969) combined with the opposite ability to fill the room with perfect harmonies and simplicity and melancholy of their ballads (autumn shade, homesick, country yeard)- they have always been able to make excellent music, and Craig Nicholls is one of the best songwriters and singers around. I think nowadays, if a pop star is diagnosed with a disease or a condition they would be treated better than he was treated

Are there any bands in Australia that label themselves "Grunge"?. Don't get me wrong, there were some awesome aussie bands I listened to in the mid to late 90's that had the Grunge sound (By that, I mean the Sludge rock type thing. Nirvana, Mudhoney ect). But back then "Grunge" was kind of relegated to the "Seattle" Bands of the time. And even then, it was kind of looked at skepticism if you were calling yourself "Grunge".
That being said, I couldn't really care what "genre" bands find a correlation to. To be honest, in 2021, if some came out and said "Listen to this band. They're a great Grunge band", at least there would be a more defining ideation in my head that would make me check it out. Definitely less broad than "Alternative". Can you do a story on a band that came so so close to hitting. The band was called Stranger band. They had a major following in the south. This band was red hot. They signed a contract and went out to L.A. where the management or the record industry wouldn’t take them any further. In Florida/Georgia back in the 80’s and early 90’s would open for many major bans that toured the south. In smaller venues they sold the place out everywhere. They were a blues rock band that had a Van Halen meets STV feel. Then in the mid 90’s they broke up and the guitarist blew his brains out over it. I swear back then a truly fun night was getting to see them live ANYWHERE!!! I’ve seen them open for Triumph, Molly Hatchet, the Allman bros, and RUSH. Just a hands down fun band with a guitarist that just smoked out blues rock like few!
