actually, all german towns have a Vollunteer fire departmend. starting from little villages of 200 people up to big cities like Berlin or Hamburg, all of them. in big cities with more than 100000 People there is a Fultime fire departmend supported by the volunteer fire departmends. some little cities have fulltimes from monday to fryday, weekends only volunteers. my hometown with 30k people living here have only volunteers.
