I also have a chowchow before. He's super friendly with people especially with kids but he doesn't acknowledged Dogs or other animals. Maybe he thought he was a human too... I super miss him, such a sweet boy, my Coco....😢

I have 3 Chows and they are all different with people and kids. 1st, well socialized and he was good with kids petting him as well as other people. 2nd, he was ok with most woman, but preferred Asian girls ( I don't know why), only men with dogs that could pet him and good with children. My current female....no one can pet her, even when she was a puppy and she is socialized and trained. From my experience, the males were much easier to train, less aggressive and less territory. She was a little monster from start...even a trainer was questioning her when she was 8 weeks old.

I have a 2 month old chow chow and 4 year old son. Im a single parent and need help getting them to bond. My son experienced a nasty pitbul attack last year so its proving tricky to get them to bond. Any advice? She keeps nipping at him and it makes him so scared he runs away
My family and I just rescued one I have a 2 year and a 9 year and I been reading they are bad dogs for kids but I haven’t seen one video yet that shows that I’m super nervous because I hope we made the right choice!
Chows are quite loyal and protective of their owners. I suggest getting a chow if you are willing to train and get him/her bonded with kids from the puppy age. Definitely, suitable with kids at home
