- this actually makes me want to buy one for every type of insect.
Hey guys! Sorry for the delay in posting, I have bronchitis and have been in and out of the hospital for the past week and a half. LUCKILY, Taylor was prepared this time and had videos pre-filmed so all I had to do was edit. Anyway, this feeder is definitely a life saver! especially for those of you who don't like messing with the insects. A big plus? It doesn't leave a bad smell because of the ventilation at the top. You'll thank me later ;)

This is such a good idea..!! Question:
When removing old food, how do you keep the bugs from crawling into the food area? Are the areas compartmentalized, to avoid that from happening?
You would need to shake the bugs out of the food compartment. Once they are in the main area you can then pull the food out.
Zen Habitats Thanks for the reply! I'm actually inquiring about a scenario in which you have loaded the bugs & vegetables in, and you then want to replace old leftover food, with fresh food.
Once you remove the food tray to do so, how do you keep the bugs from crawling everywhere?
@@MsAdreaL when trying to replace the food compartment food you need to shake the bugs out of the food compartment first, then remove the panel and clean. Repeat the process for putting the panel back in. As for keeping the bugs in the container when the lid is open this shouldn't be an issue for most bugs (other than crickets). That said I usually only clean the container once I have used up all the bugs, then I have no issues. :-)
@@MsAdreaL it's actually pretty easy but hard to explain in messages. We will have to post a video on our FB page showing how to change out the food when needed.

How I got mine is I made a presentation on different categories! Make sure you know what question she would ask and be prepared. Also I suggest finding ways to get money so shes not worried about costs. They are pretty expensive so I suggest having a little over 300.

How did you teach Fitz to eat freeze dried/ pellet food? my bearded dragon never seems interested by it
Hi Gus, bearded dragons get most of their hydration from their food, freeze dried may not be the way to go. :-)

I don't know anything about it, but researched it. I am still not sure about what happens, even after watching videos and reading info online. You seem to be the Bearded Dragon Lady, but I know someone who has a tropical type turtle and worried for a few weeks plus over what is probably Brumation. Took the pet to the Vet, was treated and still alive. Any ideas or sources you recommend ?

I'm a new subscriber and finally got my 1st bearded dragon. Lizzy was my Christmas gift from hubby last year. I'm 56 years old lol. We don't have a dog or cat now so I finally felt safe to ask for one! We both went to look at her and I fell in love. I've kept several reptiles, especially snakes but never had the opportunity to keep a beardie until now. She is about 8 months old and quite a charmer. Love your channel!

i mean unless it has salt or seasoning but i recommend just plain or boiled if you want it soft

Look for tail rot just in case
U have to smell their vent to make sure it smells okay every other day because if it doesn't you need to give special treatment called a lick, it is a special reptile thing when they have a smelly vent.
