"We've launched 5 Daedalus class ships in the last 2 years alone." Makes them sound like an improvement over Archer's Enterprise. LATER: Daedalus Captain: This ship is not made for combat!
Star Trek Legacy was definitely my cocaine when I was younger. Every now and then I’ll grab the PC disk and throw in the UU mod. Fun times. Either that or Freelancer.
Long time modder of Bridge Commander here (Sound effects, bridge set textures and ship weapons hardpoints), plus sometimes I did my own work for myself in Legacy: The various bugs such as this We can cover the distance faster bug, the Ambush mission where if you go in the nebula the mission crashes etc... I think the Campaign bugs were related to AI scripting, by which I mean the updates to the aggression of the AI of all races in the game and default flying formations, thus prompting the mission scripts to trigger themselves earlier than expected. Plus the maps on which the campaign played out were modified in terms of default ships and AI enemies, i.e. in Mission 1, here you see "Swarm stock campaign," and additional ships also in the later stage when you encounter the Seleya, closing fast on Enterprise, and dialogue about "Enterprise to romulan ships, cease your attack", trigger earlier, and the "Swarm stock campaign" attacking you already when you approach the nebula. This is a clear indication the AI has been made too agressive and trigger different scripts too soon, i.e. it's too fast for the game. Also the maps have been modified as I've said. The possible list of solutions would be: Copy the AI from the Trek Battles 3 mod and paste it in to this game, copy and paste the maps from the stock game in terms of POI and everything placement to fit to the actual game pace, edit the ODF files for the ship classes, rather than ships themselves. That worked once before for me in the past, when I was a 10 year old kid in 2013 with no Gamefront account so I couldn't post a fix. I'll try again to fix the issues.
I'm enjoying watching your videos. I only have the original Xbox 360 ST Legacy but I played the heck out of it and finished the campaign more than once and got every achievement. In fact you've inspired me to start playing again. I would be in heaven playing these mod versions! I'm looking forwarded watching you play through the game.😀Wow, I'm cracking up with the glitch! 🤣🤣🤣
I think this episode teaches us an important lesson: even when the odds are against you and everything seems hopeless, you can cover the distance faster if you transfer all power to the engines.
I wish STO was like this (visually). Cus in that game its all on a level battle field. This is more like being in flight. Maneuvers like the ships do in the movies and shows.
I remember finally managing to install this game on my pc a year ago and installing UUM 2.2 thanks to your guide. I loaded up the campaign and I too experienced this bug so its not just you, and I didn't install the star trek XI mod so it can't be a mod conflict. I remember watching gameplay of the campaign with UU installed back in the day from like 2007 and it worked fine so I'm guessing a subsequent version or patch caused the bug.
I do not have any knowledge of installing Star Trek: Legacy on Windows 10 machines since I am on a Windows 8.1 system from 2015. Perhaps someone else in the comments can help you. If you already have the game installed, but are curious about how to install the mods that I use, you can check out this video that I made here: ruclips.net/video/POA-cTBbpE8/видео.html
I use legacy on win10 now to get it to work i had to sail the high seas and found a online copy i dont think it works with the disk anymore...i do have the disk though
@@Condor-uc2lw Yes, it seems that some ships are glitched/bugged out in a way that they make the game extremely laggy. I think it's mainly with the Jem'hadar ships. Having a lot of ships can also cause a lot of lag. Sadly, this is the way it is with abandonware. It's not meant to be played on modern computers. Still a lot of fun.
We can cover the distance faster, if we transfer all power to the engines…Haven’t laughed this hard in so long - amazing!
Holy cow, I'm tearing up hearing this on repeat x 1 million lol!

I don't remember how long I've been subbed but props for the commitment over 5 whole years!
Welcome back! Thank you for this!
We can faster the cover distance if we power all engines to the transfer

I wonder how well the armored voyager would last against the most powerfulest federation ship the invisible class
Armoured Voyager is a few years more advanced
man the nx class is a beautiful ship
Here we go again
Legend has it that you can cover the distance faster if you transfer all power to the engines.
I think this episode teaches us an important lesson: even when the odds are against you and everything seems hopeless, you can cover the distance faster if you transfer all power to the engines.
If you go to hell it would just be archer saying we can cover the distance faster if we convert all power to the engines
Loved this
Ayyyee!
Any music in the next part?

Heyooo best st legacy creator i hope one day someone can patch this game in order to use newer hardware

Have they fixed this glitch yet?
because it's still happening, and I tried that latest update too.
where do i get the game? i cant find it any where
Hay foxtrot delta have you heard of the island
Yeah, that's an annoying bug. You might need a way to search for mod conflicts to see if there is a text file or script file you can change to fix it.
And also I have a video thing you should live stream someday when you have time that is
Doesnt work mod gives Errror .
Kaopectate

The ultimate universe mod fixes it for windows 10. Had a hard time getting it to work as well, but it can be run on a windows 10.
@@geordi5054 yes but ST legacy runs awful on modern hardware i have a gtx1080 and get so much freezing
