This is a review/overview of the sq11 mini dv camera. You pretty much get a 50/50 chance of it working properly. unfortunately this one definitely has some recording issues. But all together the quality of it is definitely great for the price if you are lucky enough to get one that works.

That pretty well matches the experience I had with it too. I managed to get 2 videos of my hands trying to set it up, then could never even get it to turn on again!

I connected this to usb power for hours to fully charge. I open camera on my windows and I get nothing listed for the camera. I think the button works and I can get to the solid blue light, but no camera or video. Is this likely just defective?

It's almost certainly a fake(it seems a lot of Wish products are), they're everywhere.
It seems the original is genuinely 1080(the image quality is certainly better anyway)
The IR LEDs on the fakes are often just a piece of plastic shaped to look like LEDs. On at least some fakes the resolution is almost certainly being upsampled from a cheap SD(480) sensor, and '1080' is actually 960(easy to double from 480)
I got one and when I push the button to record, it flashes blue twice then purple 3 times and turns off.
Need a video on how to sync it to your iPhone in English slow enough for everyone else to understand.

Mine is 5 years old and wont hold a charge gets really hot. I don't think I ever got it to work right. $19 down the drain. Anybody know how to replace the battery?

Place it up your ass for 4 hours, it will get charged up.

A lot of cameras can change resolution. It just changes how it decides what to save I think
