I never buy new furniture - that's one of the greatest wastes of money. Right now I'm sitting on some designer Danish couch that cost as much as a cheap car new & I got it for free.

Bought a two grand couch. They never set up delivery even though we told them what they needed to know. They sent a couch that wasnt mint. They said it was a packaging problem. I had them send at the end 4 new pieces until i got one that was mint. They even tried to send me one that i already rejected but the delivery driver was a peach and called me before he left the warhouse. Three months up to our move in and they didnt set up delivery, two months of back and for replacements and i finally had what i paid for and our insurance plan and an extra 250 was taken off. 2500 dollar couch to 2000. Bought all our other furniture used should have done the couch too.
Careful with used shit though. Bed bugs are a HUGE issue where I live and that’s some shit you want none of.

Antiques is the only way to go. Unless you have money to burn on hard-to-find "quality" new furniture, hunting for old shit is what's up. I went looking at the big furniture stores for an office bookshelf this week. Nobody reads, so bookshelves aren't a thing in stores. All the local thrift and antiques places were a miss too. Gotta keep checking back. Pottery Barn, Crate & Barrel, Restoration Hardware, and the like are all cheap dogshit at exorbitant pricing. Phuc dat. 25 years ago we called Rooms 2 Go "Rooms 2 Break."

In USA you may have good used market but in post communist countries like Poland its difficult to find quality used furniture

There are definitely bargains to be had on there, but most of it is total shit that will break within a year, and you won't know until it arrives and you're stuck with it. Second-hand is cheap because most people want new. Aliexpress is cheap because it's cheap materials and low build-quality.
@@thegrinderman1090 that all makes sense. the thing im searching for (the 4/4 coffee table) is like only sold on there or the actual real thing which is insanely expensive. i have four cheap replica panton chairs and theyre fine, i doubt the originals would be much more comfortable since theyre plastic. i guess some things are more important to buy quality, others not so much i feel
