For some reason I really like how this 3 minute segment was directed/filmed. Nice camera angles, the prisoners all singing, and how Gary Oldman put it on the loudspeaker all over the plane, and the expression he bears while listening to his comrades all just fits so well. He was a man that was just damn proud of his country and I respect that even though he was a villain.
you would think it would be easier to break radek out of that low security prison than to hijack the worlds most secured aircraft and kidnap and hold hostage the president of the us haha! but the film would b shoite then haha
Gary Oldman was perfectly casted for this part. He is an underrated actor within his niche as a villain. He was great in this, Dracula, and the Professional. I remember watching this as a kid, and actually wanted Oldman and the General to win! I always root for the bad guys.
Wow he does look like Makarov from MW2. I remember watching this movie a long time ago and when I played MW2 I noticed Makarov looked very similar to Ivan.
Man I love these scene, its amazing. It goes really good with the Music. I love it when the Russian guy says stop dont move and Radek doesnt know whats going on
i watced inside: air force one on NGC, the comms bay looks a lot different, it's got touchscreens and this has a lot of knobs. By the way, the theme song of radek's release is a stunning one,.
This scene is really beautiful and looked like too real, I nearly cried when the General who was trying to restablish the USSR was released, despite that the movie is imperialist propaganda.
ive got both the internationale and the ussr anthem on my ipod. No im not commusit I just love the songs and language. Only sounds good when sung by men thou.
When did Ivan ever say that they would release the President and his family? I'm pretty sure he never said that in the movie. Maybe they just assumed he would release them. Are they that naive?

"Forgive me, I lied." LOL.

And he's working with Spiderman's landlord.
The Internationale and the Soviet National Anthem are 2 different songs.

The music when Radek is walking out of his cell sounds like the music from Ghost Recon.
It's Vladimir Makarov from MW2!!!!!
@DesiBarbossa
Actually, it's been the USSR national anthem during the years 1918-1943 ;)
Hijacking and creating a hostage situation. I think Batman's gonna be pissed . . .

also voices reznov in COD5
@DesiBarbossa Lies, he died in vorkuta, hes a figment of your imagination.
@go0fy11137 yeah that was cool. I really like the smugness of General Radek's face as he walks out.

I think you have a point. Most of that did not sound the original version at all. But it aint like I know Russian anyway...
what a corrupt use of one of the best working class songs in the world!
awesome vid.. love the movie. wonderin if u could post the part when the migs attack air force one????
I loved watching this movie if only to pretend for a few hours that Harrison Ford was President instead of Bush.
@mz74smart yeh, i think russians are cool
If I translate that literaly from Chinese, its called "international song".
I like it :)
as if you didn't show him getting gunned down!
was that the national anthem of ussr?
It is Communist Internationale, the Soviet national anthem.
@cnavaro88 Who fucking cares if it's ridiculous? It's epic. This scene doesn't have to make sense to enjoy it.
whats the ending music
this my fav scene when radek dies
I agree!
Ah, yes, I thought you'd like RussianCommunist!Gary :P
@J2124123 Take no prisoners, comrades!
I do, very much. Thank you, thank you. *sings along* ;)
