Even you good, go for 80 %...You will enjoy the benefits on 50...Otherwise you loose all your money for your enjoyment and at 50 ,still you need to run to make money...But don't save money on bank...No use..Try to learn stocks,mutual fund,equity
Salary saving split should be like this, 40% for mandatory family expenses (it includes medical, insurance, education, food etc,), 10% to 20% for your family enjoyment (Don't miss the present thinking the future a lot), rest 40% is savings come investment (land, apartment, gold, bond, share market, mutual funds, etc.,)......believe me, i am following this strategy for last 20 yrs.
