Ik youve been stressing about the 5 month break but there's still a whole bunch of cool stuff you've put together in that time, take the time you need because all the updates always look great
The lives system definitely needed a re-haul from the original and the system you are implementing sounds like it would fix the dread of dying. Even restarting a Flea level from the start after every life wouldn't be the worst, but I think your way of leaving them dead until you fully game over is the right call. A Flea space program sounds like a setup for sequel... Maybe there's still some fleas out in space ready to come back with a vengeance, steal Plok's flags once again and retreat into space? Super Plok Galaxy? Anyways it's looking pretty sick already and I hope to see more in the future, even if it takes 5 *years* lol.
I'm glad you like the new lives system! I wasn't sure how it would go down, once I've done more levels I might see about reducing it two lives from 3 for flea resets if it becomes too easy. Haha Id love to see PLOK in space, as long as his limbs come back and don't infinitely fly off lol. I can guarantee with great certainty there will at least be one more Devlog in the next 5 years ;)
I wonder if those SNES cartridges you collect will have a use? ;) I'm thinking a Zelda themed level for one but hotline Miami would be cool too, I really like the style in that game
Man's about to cook a masterpiece people will be talking about in upcoming ages. My idea: how about creating assets that look like dough as it is portrayed on the original artwork? (if you need assistance in creating the assets lmk)
great job my friend, you finally managed to remaster the old plok beautifully! I would really like it if you could remaster Awesome Possum for Sega Genesis by adding kicks as an attack, although I know it was considered the worst game on Genesis but the character has so much beauty and potential that it would be endearing, do you think you could embellish it a bit if you want?
Had a look, the momentum the character has looks like an interesting challenge, I could potentially look at doing a level or two in between PLOK breaks, would you want it quite faithful to the original game or me to try improve it, considering you said it's one of the worst games haha
@@TomInboundyes that game was bad because of its frames and its constant bugs but the music and the sounds and the voice and the features of riding the animals and the quizzes about the environment and the animals were quite good and yet the bosses if they weren't so fast! but I say, since you managed to remaster plok well I thought if I could remaster awesome possum to spruce it up a bit!

@@TomInbound Yeah that's awesome I was just reminded of the Hotline Miami x Plok stuff from a while back, and both are good games
