    Nice to put a face to Trisha! She recently helped me with a technical issue on my Peregrine and was communicative throughout the process.

    I bought this computer about a month ago and have about 20 dives on it here in Okinawa. It is everything I hoped it would be, almost. That being said, I have a couple small gripes. 1. The crystal is very easy to scratch, and the screen protector is sold separately, not yet available in Okinawa. 2. the compass has required calibration every 4 dives or so. 3. The AI transmitter (Swift) was occasionally losing connection with the computer. I corrected this with a 6" HP hose. 4. I wish the layout was more customizable. Other than those small niggles, it has been the perfect choice for my first AI computer.

      I think mine came with a screen protector installed, so it may be there without you realizing? My Perdix was that way too, I thought I scratched it but luckily it was just the protector.
      The compass, yeah, I’m not always a fan of digital compasses and it’s because of calibration needs. It’s quick, but a pain sometimes.

      @@CircleHScuba It feels like there might be something on the screen. But, I'm not going to peel at it to find out. The compass calibration is no big deal. I just calibrate it before every dive day.

      The teric is awesome. I love my Perdix haha. But if you don’t need OC Tec and CCR, they can be overkill compared to something like this!

      Agreed and I’d hope so since they pulled some features out from the teric haha

    Does the Tern use the same wireless charger that the Teric uses?

    • @CircleHScuba
      @CircleHScuba  6 месяцев назад +1

      I believe it’s a different battery and also different charger. I don’t have one on hand (yet! Future video though) to verify but I’ll make sure to cover that when I get my hands on the retail units

    What exactly does OC Tech consist of?

    • @CircleHScuba
      @CircleHScuba  9 месяцев назад +1

      It stands for open circuit tech diving. So think sidemount or back mounted doubles while tec diving, versus closed circuit (rebreathers).
      It has things for decompression planning and timers, additional functions and such for decompression dives in general.
