Does the crossfader allow the mapping of multiple CCs on each side? That would make it very useful in a DAW-less setup of controlling the state of individual devices, similar to an #Elektron #Octatrack.
Not sure i understand what you want to do, don't know if you can map cc on a side of the crossfader, you can map ableton crossfader on yes but then in a daw situation you need to have a machine with a crossfader function i gues..not saure
@@audioreakt most of my hardware is capable of sending and/or receiving MIDI CCs, but not all devices have a macros feature like for instance the newer Elektron boxes. As far as I can understand it looks like the UC can send one (?) MIDI CC number from the crossfader, correct? Or one per side? In that way A is transitioning to B, so value A is decreasing while B is increasing, and vice verse. Or is it possible to increase / decrease multiple CCs on multiple channels, too?

Question…. Let’s say you program on of the faders to control volume for the channel your on, if you go to another channel, do you have to remap the control to volume again or does it control whichever CC you mapped on whatever channel you’re on??????

@@claudiongleur i would have take it if it wasn't for the footprint... Really hope B make a great new bcr32, because this stuff has so much potentiel to be a kick ass peice of gear like controller+sequencer together...
@@claudiongleur the problem is cheap toy nature of midi controllers, thats why touch is jsut lightyears better. Faderfox is outstanding quality. noit comparable to novation or behringer lol berhinger is cheap af quality, not usable.
so far the only way I know is to do the mapping on the computer first (with uc4 connected to your computer), then save your project. But then when you load the project in your push 3 standalone and plug the uc4 on the push it will keep the mapping and it will work.
hello, everything is working on my side, I am on mac os. check if there is any driver or even in ableton preferences, in the midi section it should appear, make sure you have the stuff ticked.

Love the EC4 if Faderfox ever made a UC4 with the screen and capabilities of the EC4 I’d buy it in an instant. A dual screen xC4 combo is my end game.

yes, but you need to have automation arm on in ableton, it's a ;little button on the top, close to the play and plus button
How can different scenes/setups be assigned to each side of the x-fader to blend between them?
You can assign the crossfader for sure,i dont think you can blend between scene like the crossfader of the octattack

tbh it's often bit of hit and miss, sonmetime it work as you said sometimes no but don't really know the reason ...
Just got my UC4, and the mute/unmute with LED status of btns works perfectly in pair with the Octatrack :)

No no it saved wherever you are in ableton, i map fader, cutoff of synth, return send, master fx on it and it work whatever track you are on...

Do you know if the UC4 will work with the Push 3 Standalone? So direct connected to the Push 3 Stndalone?

Do you get any jumping on your encoders? I have 2 and the older one is very jumpy. Faders are still good. My EC4 has no issues yet.
no I never had issue with, tbh I use more the fader/button than the encoder but never noticed anything...
