I have friends who's parents are pediatricians and for their wedding they hired a bunch of doctors in training for pediatrics to entertain all the kids in a suite at the hotel they were getting married at, the kids were all accessible, safe, and had a fun time. I loved that idea.
I had an aunt who ended up with sepsis because of a tooth infection. So what ended up happening was she didn't even know that there was an infection normally the tooth was perfectly fine. We don't even know how this developed. One day my uncle goes in to wake her up because she stayed in bed a little bit longer than him which was normal. And she wasn't moving. As he went to shrug her a little harder on her shoulders he noticed that on her pillow there was some blood coming out of her mouth. They took her to the hospital. They got her conscious again but essentially there was an abscess underneath her tooth that eventually ruptured and got into her bloodstream. She was feeling a little nauseous the day before but nothing major. They believe that's when it ruptured but it took time to get more into the system and blood. Took her over 6 months to fully recover and honestly if my uncle had not gone back and checked on her and had just gone to work thinking she was sleeping in she would have died that day. There are times where it can just kind of come out of nowhere but in most cases you already have a wound that you're fighting off and trying to get cleaned out and then it becomes septic
I heard that if someone does say I object, you can’t get married that day. So if someone jokingly said I object then everything you put into the wedding goes down the drain. I heard someone did that to their wife as a joke at the alter and they couldn’t get married then and there💀 I can’t imagine having to spend to much money for someone to joke and do this.
uhm well, not not in Quebec, Canada... Unless you bring a case to court to object, your objection means nothing. The notary will prpably want to see why they objected and do verification if needed but the wedding should be able to go on in the next minutes / hours (if really serious reason but foun to be untrue)
Yea I’ve heard this is true in America. Legally the officiant can’t continue. There was a whole Reddit story about it happening and all the money they spent for the venue and everything was then just for a party because they couldn’t get married
The best comment that I heard about weddings was from my therapist and she said to think of the wedding as the beginning of your marriage versus the end of your non-married life. It really helped put things in perspective AND it helps limit depression after the wedding. Its improved my marriage and made the day less stressful because the "its the best day of your life" narrative can be really toxic and make you more stressed than necessary.
When I was planning my wedding, I found out this "nanny´s for events" that take care of babies and kids, bring things for them to play and need just a little bit of space. It was awesome!
I never went dress shopping for my wedding. I wanted something VERY specific and I knew I wouldn’t be able to find it locally so I had it made at a local dressmaker. It was an awesome experience, it took a long time though. It was a 4-5 month process and really gave me an appreciation for my wedding dress.
This reminds me of 27 Dresses when the little sister takes their mothers wedding dress and completely alters it to wear it despite the older sister wanting it for her own wedding one day.
I love the content! I watch it as I do homework and I sometimes stop just to explain why I think the other person is wrong🤣🤣 I hope we get longer episodes!
For dress shopping, I went with my MOH/bff, mother, grandmother, SIL/bridesmaid, and father, but not all at once. Made it less overwhelming and made it special so I could focus on the two or three people with me. Like only my dad went with me after I knew which one it was and I said “yes to the dress”. Seeing him get emotional is a favorite memory of him.
Sounds like step daughter is jealous of her dad marrying again. She picked Lauren's dress as a way to start an argument. Maybe to ensure that her stepmother is not at the wedding
For the second story as a mother and someone who had been a bridesmaid. I could NEVER. Her dad is not in the picture and I even ask the bride which both had no problem having my mom come to include my daughter but also take care of her that day while I’m being a bridesmaid.
My cousin had a 21+ wedding I was 20 I didn’t get invited, she didn’t even invite her teenage nieces. My issue was they still had children at the ceremony as flower girl and ring bearer.
Flower girl and ring bearer are different and typically only stay for the ceremony and pictures. I understand your frudtration but they probably wanted to get lit without worrying about liability issues
I’m guessing that the wedding dress in the first story is worth a lot of money. A lot. Otherwise she would just go get her own - especially if she plans on changing it.
I had a child free wedding. I simply just put on the invites “adults only ~ open bar”, and it was respected for the most part, you will always have that one person that has to put in their 2 cents but ultimately it’s your big day!
With the first story, there is absolutely NO WAY I would give that dress away, especially if she wanted to change the size! Because her daughter was so close to the wedding when she passed, it’ll represent the size she was at the time, like a piece of her frozen in time ❤️
Wedding dress shopping crew becomes a lot easier when people are out-of-state! I also did thrift/sale hunting for my dress at boutiques that were closing so I didn’t know when I would make the decision & therefore couldn’t plan a whole group
Every time I listen to these weddings stories I’m so glad that the weddings in my husband’s culture don’t have a bridal party. It just seems like a lot of potential drama for no reason.
Hi from Indonesia! I have been binge watching the different stories & started listening to the full episodes. How i wish i could invite you to my wedding 🤣
My best friend got married when her baby was about 5 months old and since it was a small close knit wedding, so many different people took turns to watch the their baby so the bride and groom could have fun and get a little drunk. I loved it ❤️
Morgan and Alejandra sitting in front of a computer and speculating on the history of objecting at weddings rather than looking it up is a whole….something.
When you guys mentioned about inviting YOU guys to our wedding, it made me happy sad 😭 I lost my friends because I moved towns and then I had to cut out one for being toxic, so I was picturing my friendless butt up in the church, I wish I had friends like you guys 😅 you guys seem so nice and funny, it's so strange to me, have I been around the wrong people?
My sister was 4 when my dad and stepmum got married so they had a kid-friendly wedding. They hired a couple of nannies, served kid-friendly food at the kids table, and there was a separate room at the reception venue where they had a bunch of games and stuff so the kids had something to do when they got bored of what was happening at the reception.
Alejandra, you handled your dad's situation better than me. I loved/ continue to my grandmother as she has passed and the fact that; she (only his wife) not blood and you're HIS DAUGHTER with lineage to YOUR BLOOD GRANDMOTHER coat given to his wife who didn't even meet her like Nah sis, you are better than me. I would get angry and sentimental that has an emotional connection to me it's more than just a coat.
Okay so I know this is an old episode but i just found yall like 3 days ago and have been bingeing every episode. My dress was bustled up with 22 buttons i literally layed across a table so my mom and bridesmaids could flip up the main layer to button it up. My bew husband waked in and asked where i was, the entire room burst into laughter only for him to realize i was under all the material. *I had security at the reception which had permission to throw anyone into a taxi that they saw getting too screwed up. *I had kids a my wedding and reception i hired two people and created a kids corner to occupy the kids. I had mini bowling, ring toss, blow up ball pit, along with candy confetti we even brought a tv and dvd player from home and a couple kids movies...there was never a problem with the normal im bored wahwahwah. *One of the bridesmaids had a baby that was about 3 weeks. We had the 💩planned to the T. Baby was breast fed only, we made sure 30 mins before start we started the countdown she fed him, we changed him, got him in some cozy jammies, placed the baby swing right next to the front row near the moms and grandmas everyone understood dont touch the baby unless it cries lol😂. Right before we started to walk in we swaddled him and got him in the swing. It was blissfully silent the entire 45 min ceremony. Weddings are hard, divorce is horrible. But the day was fun
The sister who wants to hold her baby, something not even mentioned is she’s only gonna be a couple weeks postpartum, she’s still going to be healing. I personally didn’t heal well and standing for long periods of time was actually super painful and not easy to do for over a month after having my child. So it might actually not even be feasible for her to be standing during the ceremony.
The only way I would EVER ask for someone else's dress is if I was extremely close with them. Like if we were basically like sisters. Besides one of the biggest most special parts of being a bride is finding that perfect dress with family.
As someone who works in a bridal shop, I find that the more people a bride brings with her to her appointment, the more complicated it becomes with multiple opinions, pushy family members, emotions running high, etc. keeping your group smaller (3 people of less) tends to work out better for both the bride and the stylist!
Highly don’t recommend bringing a large group wedding dress shopping! I did this and was so overwhelmed and ended up just choosing a dress out of stress. Ended up regretting it and went back with just my mom and chose a dress I loved. Too many opinions is extremely stressful
It takes a lot of time to get altered typically because there’s multiple dresses being altered at the same time so there’s usually a ten week turn around for that reason.
My friend went all out for her wedding dress shopping. All the bridesmaids, maid of honour, mother’s. Champagne and all. We all cried when she found “the one”.
the wedding dress shopping culture you are talking about, oh my :D I was the only person who saw my dress besides the designer, nobody else until the wedding day. I cant imagine people giving me advice about my wedding dress, its crazy how different I am wired about this :D
For dress alterations, it’s not so much the fabric of the train as it is the beadwork on the rest of the dress. Most dresses have designs made to be specific worn over certain parts of the body or have designs that can go right to the seems, so the beading has to be removed, rearranged, and reattached in some cases. Wedding dress alterations are no joke when it comes to the details.
About the first story with a wedding dress; in my culture girls who died before marriage are getting buried in the wedding dress. So from my point of view, it seems impossible to wear a dress of a girl that never got to wear it because of her death. It is a dress of the dead, it doesn't belong to anyone in this world, it belongs to the girl who never got to be a bride. Due to this the story sounds so disrespectful and wrong to me, can't even get my head around it
Some parents don’t come around. My best friend got married a month after I did and she has been with her husband for about 6 years and her parents REFUSED to go to her wedding. They still refuse to spend time with her husband. She had to have separate birthday dinners this year one for her parents and one with her husband because they refused to see him.
@@joanna.felicja because they dont agree with the relationship. Didn’t agree with it from the very beginning. I’m not 100% sure of the exact number but they are about 6-8 years apart in age so I think that was the main thing that her parents hate.
I know this is an old episode and probably never will be seen, but in honor of Morgan & Justin's upcoming nuptials.. I work in the wedding/special event industry, and something that I have seen (that was brilliant) is a regular client's annual party, rent a video game/activity bus for all the kids. Comes with attendants, bunch of games, tvs line the walls, for the kids. They park on the property, and all the kids hang there and have a blast
I remembered going to one wedding and one of the bridesmaids' said her husband wished they did a courthouse wedding instead of throwing a "party for other people" for certain families they didn't really get along with 😬 that really made me really feel better about doing a courthouse wedding before my deployment, but I still want a "real" wedding to certain extent.
Me looking to the general direction of my stepmom(in another room) saying I would not bring you dress shopping and kissed the air. Bc that woman is a narcissist and have treated me like ass. I don’t have a good relationship with her nor would I want her there just for her to comment how ugly/fat/unflattering something is. I hear that everyday. Have heard it since I was 5.
Thank god you’re not going to invite her! Someone who treats you like that does not deserve to be included in any part of your happy experience! Dress shopping is stressful enough as it is, no need to add an unsupportive toxic B to it.
if i was alejandra i would be so mad about the mink coat! coats dont last forever, they wear out with use. if her step grandmother is wearing it a lot it may be in a much worse condition by the time alejandra receives it
At the end when she was talking about who would she bring dress shopping. I also have a stepmom of 18 years (I’m 19), and I don’t know if I should invite her if I ever go wedding dress shopping…. My step mom is actually the mistress. Her and my dad cheated together while my dad was still married to my mom and I was only one years old. Even though now I have a good relationship with her sometimes it doesn’t feel right and I feel like I’m going against my own mom that I love dearly. What would you do also both my step mom and dad don’t know I know what they did.
We had a nearly kid free wedding. No kids in the ceremony and we were open about having an open bar and a party after. Everyone got a plus one. The line I set was after dinner and cake, they need to be headed out. Or the parents needed to be ok with their kids in an adult setting. We had only three kids there. This was a fight because my mother had remarried 9 months before and her new husband had an eight year old and an 11 year old. Their dad, mom's husband, would chew us out for getting rowdy/cussing/any sexual jokes/adult humor. They were so sheltered that he would pull the kids out of any school event against their christian beliefs I literally told them no kids or no kids after dinner, like all the other guests. They showed up with them anyway. The way I saw it, it was one evening of my whole life for them to just go with their mom or have a baby sitter. They left before the ceremony for other reasons. Two of our good friends got engaged and I'm current 7 months pregnant. They kept us involved in the date and some of the plans because my husband will be in the wedding. They were totally open to him not being in the wedding because we will have a toddler. I told them I will absolutely be able to handle the toddler on my own, plus, my father in law will be there too. I plan to sit at the back for the ceremony, just incase our daughter throws a fit, so I can quickly get her out before she routines the ceremony
Probably an unpopular opinion, but I had my wedding dress custom made. I had a say in literally everything about my dress and the matching veil. I had it preserved, which is what I think the Mom should do with her daughters dress. You can still see it and it's safe and sound. My dress will stay there unless my daughter wants to wear it as is. Size alterations would be ok, but that's it. It was my dream dress. I'd be more than happy to pay for her to have the dress of her dreams.
I never knew wedding dress shopping would involve so many people. I think I'd bring my mom, sister, sibling, a couple friends, my aunt? But my sister and aunt live in another state so idk. I guess I never thought about it as that big of a deal shopping for it personally lol
My son was born exactly 2 weeks before my sister in law’s wedding at the beach. We kept the baby on his car seat the entire ceremony (to protect him from the October freeze at the beach and also because he was sleeping) my mom in law sat as close to me as possible with his infant car seat next to her, once the ceremony was over I nursed him, and gave him back to mom in law for the bridesmaid photos before taking the family photos
why not ask the mom if you BOTH can take the wedding dress to a bridal shop and get something as similar as possible, and alter the similar dress, it would be a win win situation and a little bonding moment
I know this video is 3 years old, and I'm not sure how seriously you meant it about wanting to get invited to weddings, but but my fiancé and I are fans and would love to have you both at ours! It's on Dec. 6 in Lakeland Florida.
We had my great grandmothers fur stoles made into teddy bears. They are beautiful and amazing, this video is 5 months old so I’m sure you won’t see this. But the teddy bears were given as heirloom to her grandchildren.
I’ve thought about hiring a few wedding day nannies for my future weddings because of all the kids I have in my life but I realized that’s not my job, especially not on my wedding day. I have been a wedding day nanny twice, once hired by the bride to watch her son/ringbearer and the other time by the flower girl’s parents to watch the girls in their hotel room after the ceremony. Both settings were NOT kid-friendly and yet so many kids - how inconsiderate of the happy couple to bring your kids when they specifically ask not to and even send the flower girl and ringbearer home?! Also it’s inconsiderate to all of the parents who hired babysitters for a kid-free evening. It sucks because you don’t want the kids to ruin the vibe, but don’t want the parents to go home, though if they’re disrespectful on your big day maybe you do. Idk, I’ll probably be a total bridezilla or say “eff it, I warned them” 😂
I invited my maid of honor and my mom to go wedding shopping with me. It was sweet and fun but my maid of honor got so drunk during it. She got very direct about her opinions on dresses, even talking about my body when it was unwarranted. The bridal consultant had to check on me because of how awkward she could tell I was. Afterward, she was so drunk she was throwing up all night. I’d say just be careful who you bring even if it’s someone important in your life, because their actions might taint the experience.
I am introvert but I have always been with kids so I always became the unofficial babysitter during family functions as I was better with kids than I was people around my age or older 😅
Wedding objections started with the Catholic Church in the 12th century (not in the south). It was to ensure that it was a legal marriage (like if the person was already married, family, underage) . This is why they were also publicly announced; to give anyone time to come forward before the ceremony actually took place. Objecting in a wedding can cause it to be suspended pending further investigation. If it is something legit the wedding could be cancelled/postponed. If it was because the objector had an emotional context (in love with the bride, hurt that they weren’t involved in the ceremony etc) the wedding would more likely just be delayed for a few minutes and then move on. Nowadays, this is mostly obsolete as these things are done when you file for a license to marry.
@@cassninetyfour1238 that’s a great idea! I’m glad they gave you an option. If I were doing the ceremony and it came up, I’d just pull them aside have a conversation. It would be up to the bride and groom if it needed to be canceled or not.
Sepsis can come from any sort of infection. Often from toxic shock syndrome for girls using tampons. The first wedding story broke my heart. The mom is not the ahole. It’s totally understandable not letting anyone ever wear her dead daughters wedding dress that she never got to wear. Ugh my heart

So happy to hear your aunt did recover!! Sepsis can be such a sneaky yet serious thing. It’s quite easy surprisingly and nothing to mess with.
Dear lord it's stuff like this that terrifies me so much, how much your life can change due to a health issue in an INSTANT. Haunts me everyday 😭
This triggered my anxiety so hard
I'm so scared now. Glad your aunt is fine now
I heard that if someone does say I object, you can’t get married that day.
I’m inviting you both to my wedding omg
SAME please lmfao
We are in!!
PLEASE! 🙏🏼♥️
I flipped to what she did to that dress! If she didn't like the dress, get a new one, not destory her mothers dress
"sorry for all the people who love babys"
Me:👁👄👁
Hahaha I think I redeem myself in an upcoming episode! I do like kiddos they just terrify me a bit 🙈😂
There is a difference in not wanting to like babies, and wanting to hurt them. Liking babies is not a requirement for living.
I’m guessing that the wedding dress in the first story is worth a lot of money. A lot. Otherwise she would just go get her own - especially if she plans on changing it.
I think so too. Why are they fighting SO hard about it.
I was hired as a baby sitter/entertainer for a wedding once and it worked amazing bc the kids were with me in a whole separate room.
Oh my gosh. I get married in a few weeks and I wish I had found this account sooner to have you both there!!
Every time I listen to these weddings stories I’m so glad that the weddings in my husband’s culture don’t have a bridal party. It just seems like a lot of potential drama for no reason.
Listened to yall on my morning walk!! :)) love love love!!! but in the first story the step daughter is trippin and mad me so mad for no reason
Hahaha the part where you guys were like if you want two fun people to come to your wedding 😜. I’ll literally invite you in 5 years time 😂
The recommendation is to not bring too many ppl cause it gets overwhelming
Hi from Indonesia! I have been binge watching the different stories & started listening to the full episodes. How i wish i could invite you to my wedding 🤣
46:30 I’m not even dating anyone, but I would definitely invite you both. 😂 my moms and you guys would be the best part.
my wedding is in a month and a half- think it’s too late to send them an invite?!?😂
@@kenzimu Send it!!! 😂😂 Congrats also!!
@@laurenqualseth1804 im legit gonna track down their P.o. box!😂 and thank you!!! 😊😊
OMFG can't belive you went through the same thing I did! I just had a stalker try to break my relationship! How can people be this crazy?
ugh i desperately need an update with the dress, did they end up taking the dress?? did the husband continue to take his daughters side???
I literally want to hire you two to come to my wedding and just HAVE MY BACK in case weird family shit arose AT my wedding 🙃
I love that Alejandra doesn’t know much about weddings! This is how I was when I got married 😂😂 glad I’m not the only one. ❤
I saw this on your TikTok. I’m so glad I’m seeing the full thing
The wedding story that Ale told is insane! Mostly, I can't believe the bride went thru with it regardless of how much money was spent.
I will literally invite you guys to my wedding next summer!! I need y'all to hype everybody up to dance 😂 (perk: I'm in the Midwest)
Do you have the link to the original post? I would love to go see if there's an update since April is over :)
Did you ever find the original link?
You two are invited to my wedding 😂 I had fun listening to this episode ❤
It sounds like the stepdaughter procrastinated and is now looking for an easy "fix" to me. Poor time management and zero consideration.
Lol them says ‘it’ has me dyingggg
The sister is Soo in the wrong... Like for Christ sake. Take a few hours from the baby or don't be in the wedding party.
Did the mom come back with an update, did they steal it? What happened? I feel so bad for that mom.. I hope it wasn't more pain or drama after this ❤️
Sorry, but I think the bride should uninvite her sister if she’s going to be so difficult and disrespectful 🤷🏼♀️
Agree! Fourth kid, come on. Her being a mom is more important than being a sister to her dang sister! 🙄
Highly don’t recommend bringing a large group wedding dress shopping! I did this and was so overwhelmed and ended up just choosing a dress out of stress. Ended up regretting it and went back with just my mom and chose a dress I loved. Too many opinions is extremely stressful
OMGGG i know exactly who the high profile couple is that Alejandra brings up, because I remember seeing news articles!
It takes a lot of time to get altered typically because there’s multiple dresses being altered at the same time so there’s usually a ten week turn around for that reason.
I only brought my mom and sister wedding dress shopping and I picked out my dress 3 days before the wedding lol
My friend went all out for her wedding dress shopping. All the bridesmaids, maid of honour, mother’s. Champagne and all. We all cried when she found “the one”.
Stories like these are why so many people are starting to elope or do small destination weddings.
the wedding dress shopping culture you are talking about, oh my :D I was the only person who saw my dress besides the designer, nobody else until the wedding day.
I brought my mom and my Sister in law to my dress shopping :) my MIL lived across state or else she definitely would have been there too!
Due to this the story sounds so disrespectful and wrong to me, can't even get my head around it
49:21 Alejandra should have a 10 person/court room wedding and then do the reception. It takes so much stress off of the situation
You guys are so funny, maid a honor as in maiden, matron means that you’re married so technically no longer a maiden
Omg....I have 4 sisters, my mom, grandma, stepmom, mil, sil, friends.....holy moly...that’s a whole entourage. 😶😅
Some parents don’t come around. My best friend got married a month after I did and she has been with her husband for about 6 years and her parents REFUSED to go to her wedding. They still refuse to spend time with her husband. She had to have separate birthday dinners this year one for her parents and one with her husband because they refused to see him.
But... but WHY?!
Yep leave her ass at home!
if i was alejandra i would be so mad about the mink coat! coats dont last forever, they wear out with use. if her step grandmother is wearing it a lot it may be in a much worse condition by the time alejandra receives it
At the end when she was talking about who would she bring dress shopping.
Alex from call her daddy told that exact same story about the girl who used the wedding's instagram hashtag!
Who was it ?
@@dolma14 she kept the person anonymous as well
Brianna Ehland and Cory Perlson.. it was on pagesix! Groom threatened to sue the mistress after that lol smh
6 in Lakeland Florida.
u should sent an email
We had my great grandmothers fur stoles made into teddy bears. They are beautiful and amazing, this video is 5 months old so I’m sure you won’t see this. But the teddy bears were given as heirloom to her grandchildren.
My wedding dress alterations took maybe 3 weeks, it’s the manufacturing of a dress that takes forever, especially now
I am really enjoy the conversation :)

Catching this a year later, while I'm planning my wedding.
Yeah it's optional now in ceremonies, our commissioner asked us if we wanted it in our ceremony and we said no 🥰
@@cassninetyfour1238 that’s a great idea! I’m glad they gave you an option.
If I were doing the ceremony and it came up, I’d just pull them aside have a conversation. It would be up to the bride and groom if it needed to be canceled or not.
Even as a mother of 5 I still say a maid of honor or even a brides maid should not be holding the baby during the ceremony
I'm having my wedding in jamaica next year, would love to have you!!
Where do I send the wedding invite ?😂
Love this podcast but there’s so much talking over each other at the beginning I wanted to hear both sides of your opinions!!
