Reminds me of my worst tent night years ago in Iceland. Amazing country, but the weather there ranges from sucky to epic sucky punctuated by fleeting moments of holy crap. I added 4 extra guy lines to my tent, but from inside it looked liked it was dancing the hula, still don’t know how I didn’t break a pole. I fell asleep eventually to the soothing sound of black volcanic ash covering every single item I owned, spread out perfectly across the floor for maximum coverage. I still find some in my butt crack every now and then, lol. Stay safe.
I first got into my bag in the dark and was going to try to sleep but decided to film something. Talking to the camera literally saved me from getting bit by that spider!
Reminds me of when a windstorm came up and collapsed our tent at 3am. My friend was asleep and woke up screaming having dreamed a bear attacked her. Definitely didn't sleep much that night even after we go the tent staked back up 😅
That looked like a vinegaroon possibly too. They look kinda scorpion-like in the front and “roachish” in the back. They have what often looks like CB antenna sticking out their backend. Either way they’re both good monsters for an old creature feature.
@@LandmarkAdventures lol I know! A buddy of mine used to supply pet stores and enthusiasts with reptiles and other creatures. He had a vinegaroon in his collection. He fed it baby mice! :o
Man that's one ugly bug. I have a deal with bugs. As long as they stay outside, I don't bother them. I even tend to walk around bugs so as not to step on them. But when they come into my dwelling it's good night bug. It's been constant wind with very few breaks here in the Tahoe area of the eastern Sierra. You know Brook, I've been following you for years and would love it if I could meed up with you for a half hour just to talk. Not looking for anything. I just like your style and would love to meet you. I live very close to Tahoe so if you want someone to meet up with and trail angel for you, I've been a trail angel a number of times in different parts of the PCT. And I grew up in the tiny town of Markleeville just about 20 miles to the south of Tahoe. So I know the area.
@@LandmarkAdventures No I don't. I don't live in Markleeville now. I'm down the hill in Yerington. When I graduated high school from Douglas Co High School in Gardnerville I went into the Air Force. Now I only visit Markleeville and fish.
Put this in your memory bank I live in South Lake Tahoe near where the pct crosses hwy 50 If you need anything a shower ,place to sleep resupply please let me help If I'm around

Love your videos. You are right in my backyard of Wrightwood. Had some bad storms there yesterday. Hope you stayed safe.
I'm so happy you're back! Thanks for sharing your adventures. You are inspiring 😎
I feel your pain, but why am I chuckling? Good video.
Glad you are ok....hope you're enjoying your adventure 🥰
Omg that is the scariest thing ever! I hate weird ass bugs and especially if they're in my TENT! 😄 I'm so sorry you had to go through that!
Keep sticking it out! I imagine watching another update from you in a month, and can see you saying it was all worth it. Go Landmark go!
Totally worth it!
I love how you use the camera to stay sane and calm and collected IN THE FACE OF TERROR lol. ahh The Great Outdoors.
Dan Aykroyd and John Candy would be proud

God I missing camping. I need to pick someplace soon and just go for it.
I'm anxiously awaiting another Brooklyn update. I hope you've battled off any other savage beasts that have attempted to join you in your tent. 😄

Omg, why did you make me look up vinegaroon! They're horrible! Lol. Bugs don't usually bother me but ewwww, these little monsters are freaky.

Sure is
@@LandmarkAdventures Love it. I made a knife after watching that series. I'll shoot you a pic sometime if you are interested.
Dude! Did I miss something??
What are you doing? Through hike? Section?
