"Oh, hi, Sam!" "Holy beer-battered Princes of Maine and Kings of New England in a glass-bottom boat with a trip-hop DJ and the second runner-up in the Miss Teen Oklahoma pageant! It's past Max in a time-traveling elevator!" "What's shakin'?" "MAX! I thought you were... Wait a second. Where's the past ME?" "Oh yeah, about that: we were on a case and you got turned into a giant monster with electromagnetic powers, so I kinda had to blow you up. It was horrible!" [long awkward pause] "So... wanna stop some crimes?" "Let's! Where do we start, pal?" "I heard there's a new supervillain in town called The Banker! He's created a board game... THAT KILLS!" "And there's rumblings that the horrible Rat Queen has been summoning all her minions to her secret nest beneath the city, subsuming them into her blood-caked fur to form the unstoppable Uber-Rat, Empress of Slaughter!" "Oh boy! I can subdue her with my acid-slicked, whiplike tongue!" "You don't HAVE an acid-slicked, whiplike tongue." "Oh. Well, I can still drool on her 'til she begs me to stop." "You crack me up, little buddy!"
I can just imagine at the end, as they walk into the sunset, and the office remix plays, a small flashback looking picture of Sam and max in the same poses that we first met the iconic duo
And there's rumblings that the horrible Rat-Queen has been summoning all her minions to her secret nest beneath the city, subsuming them into her blood-caked fur to form the unstoppable Über-Rat, Empress of Slaughter!
My favorite ending of the game, with my favorite ending theme of the game. It fits so well with walking into the sunset, off to have more grand adventures. This is why a soundtrack is crucial to the media it resides in.
Now that Telltale is officially out of business, this really was the end of Sam & Max. Or at least the continuity we knew since the late 2000s. Here's hoping they come back someday, under a different development team that doesn't trash them the moment they become mainstream. Telltale really was at its best when it used niche franchises. It forced them to be creative.
I still wish that they went for these kinds of games instead of mostly The Walking Dead, or Minecraft: Story Mode. They could have really made it through when it came to making a unique game. If need be, they could have made The Walking Dead a great game with game mechanics instead of just making it a choice game only. I'm glad people liked it, but it could have been more. Plus the decisions felt like they meant nothing since at the end it's all the same. Detroit: Become Human made it work since the choices all mattered and there were so many endings, where Telltale decided to never change their pace from that. I would understand if it were only the first 2 games to do this, but if Detroit: Become Human could do it, I don't get why Telltale couldn't. Maybe there is a reason, and I'm willing to hear that out, but right now it just doesn't feel right and should have at least saved itself with some gameplay instead of just some walk cycle along with some choices to where it would just mean crap all in the end... I'm gonna get so much hate for saying all of this. XD
I could imagine it at the ending as they both walk off into the sunset, the music plays as Sam says "you crack me up little buddy" it fades out revealing to be a panel from the pages of comic and it closes revealing the cover art of Sam and Max in same exact poses in the first issue they debut in
If I may ask, how did you extract the soundtrack from the game's files? I haven't found a soundtrack available for purchase, so I assume you ripped it somehow...
@@Sn0c I knew the last notes were from the office theme, but just realised that everything from 1:08 onward is the theme. Knowing this makes this song even better

That Office remix at the end

the last bit that used the office leitmotif just truly sounds like an auditory "The End" and honestly it just hit too good
It's a sunrise, not sunset.

Hehe- guess what?
They're back :)
THE BOYS ARE BACK IN BUSINESS
GOT SOME NEWS FOR YOU BUDDY
WHOS GONNA TELL HIM
No matter how many times I rewatch the ending I always get that feeling whenever the horn plays in the end
"You crack me up little buddy."
1:26 If Sam and Max got into smash this should be the victory theme.
Sam and Max... Wins!
The sad thing is they can't be in Smash, even though they would fit right in
Why not? I mean Steve got in, and he is made of blocks!
@@mcastudios8651 It's because they weren't created as videogame characters. Sakurai will only add characters who originate from a videogame franchise.

We Love You, Sam & Max: Crime Fighters. :-D
AND THE ADVENTURE CONTINUES
You crack me up, little buddy!
i can't believe there was a new version of this song in the remaster. literally my favorite song in the game
It was a new version?

"I always do Sam!"
Soooooo... Wanna stop some crimes?
this is one of the most triumphant tracks I've heard yet
The fact that the first song youll hear from the trilogy (the office) plays at the end makes me so emotional
I’m still not over the ending.
omg i was looking for this! thank you!
Much obliged. I'll look into that.
*PERFECT.*
I Love this Music. :-D

Does anyone know what the theme at 1:08 is, I can never find out what it’s called.
I with you there I still can’t find it
I'm pretty sure it's a remix of "The Office" from Sam and Max: Save the World
