Great job Craig...I'm sure your mate would've been really stoked with that job. Good thing you have other talents besides your 'pretty' face! Lookout Paul Hogan when you hit Hollywood. :-)
@@BendigoHydroblastingI still am a little confused on where the firing pin needs to strike on the back of the cartridge, and I can’t seem to find a video showing that. If possible could you make a video about it? Also does the firing pin need to strike the center? Or anywhere on the back?
Rim fire cartridges have a primer compound inside the case on the bottom of the cartridge as opposed to a centrefire round which has a primer pressed into the case. Centrefire cases can be reloaded whereas rim fire cases are single use. The firing pin needs to impact the case onthe back of the cartridge on its outer circumference. Cheers Craig
This video was incredible! The precision you were able to obtain while machining by hand is quite impressive. Thanks for making this video, Craig!
Thankyou for the kind words. Cheers Craig 👍

Does rimfire mean primer that must be hit from the rim side such as nail gun power loads, blank cartridges? Thanks.
Yes .22 calibre need to be struck on the back edge of the caseto detonate as opposed to centre fire that have press in detonators. Cheers Craig

@@BendigoHydroblasting thanks so much! I’ve got my plan for a homemade/makeshift pistol thing ready and this was all I needed!
A bit like the AK47 no spring , drop it on the butt and can accidentally fire , great job 👏👍
Thanks mate. Best I take a bit more care when handling my ak47 😂😂😂
Not all AKs have free floating firing pins, some have spring loaded.
How do I make a firing pin for a .22( short) twist 2 estul derringer
I am not sure. If I were making one I would need the original part and/or a drawing. Cheers Craig
Nice mustachio
