I think density painting is more useful to remove detail, than to preserve ore refine it.
So instead of painting, where you want Detail to be, you could just use it to remove detail from the areas, you don't care about. (Like the back section of that monster bust for example).

That's what I was thinking too. Also, maybe those sudden transitions of color give it problems?

Density is much more helpful when your curves aren't intersecting. Its been fun testing all the interactions between Curves, Density, and Face groups. I just wish you could use polygon selection to make curves.

Thanks for update videos Glen. I bought your courses a while back and I am now starting the T-Rex course. Since the quadremesher wasn’t in Nomad when you made it, I’m guessing the quadremesher should be used prior to the refinement stage? As the last step, so to speak. Am I correct?
