In my opinion only, it's my view that Germany was on the verge of military collapse in WW1 & called for a "Armistice" which is a temporary cessation of hostilities leading to discussion for surrender. The Germans promptly marched home calling it an honorable draw (which was self delusions) & then became indignant when the victors at Versailles imposed harsh economic terms. Tbh everybody wanted an end of the slaughter but how different history of the 20th century would have been if Germany was crushed militarily & forced to sign an unconditional surrender ?
100% right. Versaile made Germans wanting to revenge for what happened, thanks to England, and their prime Lloyd. There were few peoples in England that knew that leaving Germans with enourmous repatriations to pay after the war will leave them with anger to revenge. Economic crisis back in 1928-1929 had nothing to do with this.

The British Central Bank toyed with lending money to Germany. But the British didn't have much to lend. The French refused to lend money to the Germans - even though the French had money to lend. That was the root cause of Germany's problems - they couldn't borrow. So, they bootstrapped a military.
But where was the money coming from to build the world's most powerful military? Think of the cost of battleships, submarines, airplanes, tanks and you have to pay all the salaries. The military and the factories were the obvious way to get people out of the unemployment lines, but there is no profit to the government, not at first, not until people / factories can pay taxes, right? It took years before they had slave labor?

Outstanding program! Only one clarification. The SA "brown shirts" wasn't "the first organization 'costumed' by Hugo Boss." The Brown Shirt 'costuming' came in the '20's, as a result of a large store of Austrian military surplus (1921) brown denim shirts, intended for tropical uniforms in East Africa, being taken over/possessed by the Schill Youth in Germany. The "Schill Sportversand" then became the main supplier for the SA brown shirts. Boss's company did also later produce "brown shirts."
“Goebbels told them Germany didn’t want a war at all. It was Britain and France that caused all of the trouble.” Reminds me of a certain Kim regime in a certain North Korea that says that North Korea doesn’t want a war but the evil United States and South Koreans want to crush them like ants. That gave me chills honestly. Don’t argue with me what Kim Jong Un does to his county and its citizens is disgusting and don’t you dare insult what they’re going through by remotely even trying to compare it to the United States or Europe. Ironically the USA, which prides itself on being the beacon of capitalism has much larger and more controlled collectivization of farming than the Soviets ever had. Sure that control is in the hands of corporations instead of government but it's a distinction without difference for most farmers who are regularly threatened 'if you don't buy better equipment we will strip you of any buyers.' No wonder that even in our country the government constantly has to step in to offer protections.

It reminded me of John Kerry's presidential campaign, where he told different things to different audiences, but could never answer questions about "how" he would do or afford all the goodies he promised everyone.
I think maybe there's been made a mistake when someone at Timeline slapped on the title and description for this upload ON this upload. ..maybe the vids got switched around and now there's a vid out there called something like "Propaganda of the third reich: Germany's fatal attraction" and which features a little bit about Goebbles being head of the propaganda ministry and then a whole lot about Göring and Himmler being inner circle henchmen. But always exiting topic, and a fair presentation despite, and as always.

And who created the Communist revolution in Germany to destabilize the nation while at war?
and how different it would have been if the jews had lent germany the money to rebuild?
@@alanjax7685 u are short sighted. jews were only excuse to tell german society, that all german problems back in the days, comes from them.

The tragedy of this period is that it can all happen again. That either you or I can become the victim. Never underestimate one persons desire to intimidate and use technology to erase democracies, however well established. Whether it comes from the right or left of the ideological scale is really besides the point. Ideologies are simply means to one end: power.

The British Central Bank toyed with lending money to Germany. But the British didn't have much to lend. The French refused to lend money to the Germans - even though the French had money to lend. That was the root cause of Germany's problems - they couldn't borrow. So, they bootstrapped a military.
And the concentration, labour and death camps?
@@RankinMsP I'm talking about the 1920s and 30s. Way before the camps.
I really looking forward for hitler's inner circle interaction, relationship, effort to war and subsequent event's happened that time. But it's a good as a video but that worse as with it's titles.
Patton's comments sound more resonating now than ever before
If anyone in control of this RUclips channel can read this: Please stop with the misleading click bait titles, 2 of the 3 people in the thumbnail aren't even mentioned at all. The information in these documentaries is interesting enough without having to resort to this. If you don't have the manpower or willpower to do this, consider me for the position.

It actually put America in permanent debt.
“Goebbels told them Germany didn’t want a war at all. It was Britain and France that caused all of the trouble.”
Reminds me of a certain Kim regime in a certain North Korea that says that North Korea doesn’t want a war but the evil United States and South Koreans want to crush them like ants. That gave me chills honestly. Don’t argue with me what Kim Jong Un does to his county and its citizens is disgusting and don’t you dare insult what they’re going through by remotely even trying to compare it to the United States or Europe. Seriously. If you truly think that then you’re disgustingly ill informed and I can’t fix that.
I will say, I completely agree with you and the fact that any person would say that absolutely nothing is going wrong in North Korea is completely unheard of to me. What a horrible thought. They obviously hate America because they see it as a threat to their regime.
The Kim regime is certainly delusional, but it is also true that the US's devastating sanctions against North Korea hurt them tremendously.

Timeline's titles for their episodes consistently have little or nothing to do with each video's content. I've watched a number of them now and, while I've learned some things, they are rarely things I originally tuned in to learn. Meanwhile, the topics I actually did tune in to watch were largely never addressed. Takeaway: don't believe the titles. You're going to get something unrelated. It's potluck history.
