Well like everything else I enjoy in my life, I’ll be back here watching past videos and looking forward to the day you start posting again! ILOVE THIS CHANNEL!!!!
Funny when there's social distancing and at least 8 guys from local Banjar stand around together - at least one with a mask. Funny also, fresh sea air and surfing should be good for your mental and physical health, especially when there's a lung disease around....
saschaganser it’s about getting the balance right. Keep healthy and we’ll, but. . . Virus spreads through close contact (sharing rather same air space can do it). So don’t congregate any where, including the ocean. Fresh air and salt water don’t kill the virus 🦠
@Garry Mcgrath No quoting the ancients: Confucius, Lao Tse, Bodhidharma, Han Shan ? Among the comments is one blaming the U.S., and with about the same level of insight and direct knowledge as a jellyfish or a Rupert Murdoch. Nature could have "caused" this and the results would not have been any different. And you "think" war is the answer? "Think" is obviously too strong a word. Fortunately such infantile emotionalism is not as virulent as C19. Since you started by suggesting what I do, back at you: don't lecture me about geopolitics, I'm well aware. And take opportunity in this downtime to do some reading.. I suggest starting with the science of biology. Anthropology might help your condition as well. Or walk your talk and go sign up in the military.
@Garry Mcgrath *who* should go to war with china? indonesia? uruguay? vs china? all out war between lebanon and china? caught me off guard that you said that without telling which country's behalf you're speaking on wkwkwk simply "we should go to war with china" wkkwksk who the fook are WE, friend? wkwk
I’m pretty sure part of the beach closure is to stop travelers from thinking they will come over and weather the storm on a beautiful beach rather than home. Also even though surfing is relatively safe it does cause injury on occasion and the hospitals are already overwhelmed or at the very least potentially overwhelmed
I totally agree with you, and I'm quite sure it will be the same this summer down here in south west France. Beaches are already closed, and to avoid an influx of people in places like campings, beaches and so on, they won't have any other solution than telling them beaches are closed. And also there is just two hospitals for the whole stretch of coast here, when there are ten times more people in summer than the rest of the year. I guess that's it for this year of surfing for me...
@Joe Cool you live on Bali? What beach? I'm posting a link to an article by a leading doctor in NYC that states air transmission is extremely rare. I'm not a wave hog though. After I catch a set wave, I'll wait and allow others to get some...but that's just me. Stay safe, get waves later! Mahalo
Try to shoot in 4k 60 fps - your work is beautiful! I dream to come back when COVID gone. I planned to visit Bali this March, but the COVID decides I didn't :(
So long SoB if you have to go silent for a bit, you have made our collective lock-down a whole load easier. I watch everyday with my 10 month old on my knee. She loves them, particularly the hypnotic and lulling moods of Batu Bolong.. It's always one of the happiest times of my day. Well, I suppose there might still be some accessible waves in Bali, and if you are able, or more particularly, if it is prudent, you will find them. Take care of yourself and your team, Bali could get real rough soon.
Thanks mate, by the looks of things we won't be uploading our regular clips for a while, but we're working on some interviews to go with archived footage just to keep things moving.
WOW! set apart a vacation in Bali and they shut the place down.... any hidden and very empty spots prolly locals only, with social distancing of course.
beautiful casual longboarding. i never gave longboarding half the appreciation as i do just now. i guess sob helped me grow as a person in a way. and good thing they're finally closing beaches. locals, mainly young folks and students are doing their part, my brother who goes to uni there for example hasn't been outside like usual other than going on walks for sunlight. young folks like him eating fairly poorly compared to usual. they're doing their part while these international bums are being selfish. and sadly the locals who depend on tourists still go open their shops and warungs. that's the main thing, i think, with closing beaches. it's closing businesses at the beach, like shops, diners and warungs where virus spread is inevitable. wish all goes well for all of us
Yeah, it was always looking like the beaches would be closed. The way things have shaped up in other parts of the world, it looks like we're in for tough conditions for a while.
Please don't stop releasing your videos! Put together some compilations maybe. How about a Corox highlight episode?! I am locked down with my wife waiting on my first grandchild to be born. Please folks, this virus can kill you. Isolation is the key. If it stops spreading, it will die out. Please think and stay safe.
Cs Pruitt Just watched a news bit on grandparents missing out on new grandkids. My heart goes out to you. Stay safe. We all need to push for testing and a vaccine. No virus just dies out.
Okay I am sort of sick of all these super-fit young people on longboards hogging all the waves. The only consolation prize. Is they are beautiful in string bikinis... But I'm so over this longboard fever. Yesterday at my local joint.8 young longboards took over my peak. That I was sitting at by myself. Socially distanced ... And then a kook cut me off .so I picked up his board with my left hand and threw him out of the wave. Oh yeah for the baby boomer.
Gotta school some manners.. I do the same, but at the same time, I'll hoot and cheer when they get a good legit ride.. just so they know it's about respect, not hostility.
I can assume that you are not medically trained. This is much more than a bad cold. Most of the developed world is under massive restriction that is going to cause a global recession and millions of job losses. Do you think the experts would have done all of this for a bad cold?
Larry...it’s guys like you who will fuck it all up for everyone else. Try and be slightly in tune with what’s happening. Try and not be so stupid so we can end this sooner than later.
@@davidgough3512 I wouldn't say so. Surfing by itself is a good pastime, but it brings too many people on the same place (a beach), and any thing you can do to avoid going to an hospital today is a good thing,, because they are already overcrowded by sick people. I wouldn't like to face a doctor or a nurse and telling him or her, "I'm taking your valuable time saving life because I hurt myself while surfing"...

I like how you show video of the person on the beach and then show them riding some waves. Pretty cool. Especially the girls......

Thanks for the great videos! I know they are therapeutic for me. May you have good health and good luck!

VoA was stopped this past Friday. No new tourists can come in. I understand stopping congregations on the beach, but surfing should still be allowed.

Is it just me or do other people find it calming watching long-boarding?
Or boring !! Hahah
Longboading is generally slow, wide curving arcs, easy pase or maybe that's just the ladies?
2, 3, 4, people enjoying a wave is melow!
Yes very calming almost soporific. Zzzzzzzzzz 😴

We're planning to upgrade to 4k, but not a fan of the 60fps look.
I can't believe that the surf would be empty. Is it truly empty? there is not much more healing than surfing in the ocean

check my comment for some underlying dynamics to the issue of surf bans

When the coronavirus arrives and people start to die as it happens in my country, maybe people will gain respect.
Are all beaches closed or only this one?
all beaches i belive... i cant surf here in portugal sooo
Most beaches in Bali are closed now.
tourist go home. stay at home.

Surfing is perfect pandemic pastime, notice the ideal social distancing on a party wave. Stop the insanity, it's a bad cold and flu season, if that.
