DIY - 2014 Kia Sportage 2.0 CRDI: Change the brake fluid

- Following the replacement of the brake hoses on our Kia Sportage, it made perfect sense to also replace the brake fluid as well, since it was nearly 2 years old and we had already replaced some of it on the previous day when bleeding the new hoses.
The car takes DOT3 or DOT4 brake fluid, with DOT4 being the best choice given its increased performance. We've used ATE Typ200 fluid, the same kind that we had used on the previous fluid change in 2021.

Hi! You're welcome 😀 Unfortunately, as I said in another comment, we've just sold the car so there won't be a video on changing glow plugs. What's left are videos for changing the steering tie rods and the lower engine mount.

Hi, you're very welcome! The technical documentation I use for the 3rd generation Sportage (SL) is mainly available at www.kispmanual.com/third_generation_sl_2010_2016_-3.html and to a lesser degree at www.ksportagegl.com/kia_sportage_ql_2015_2024_service_manual-601.html. The last link focuses more on the 4th generation (QL), but since the diesel engine the two generations use is the same, a lot of the documentation can also be applied to the 3rd gen. Other than that, additional online information (other videos, tutorials, forums etc.) is also available depending on the topic. In general I spent a good amount of time researching a job before I actually start working on the car 😀

Can do one changing the glow plugs?
Unfortunately I can't anymore...😞 We just sold our Sportage and I have material for only 2 more videos: tie rods and lower engine mount.
