- This is definitely an exam I was excited to take, there were no practice questions available so I wasn't sure exactly what to expect. It was a fun test and I'm glad to have passed it.

Great stuff Joseph! Have you also passed Certified Expert for PingFederate? Previously PingFederate Certified Advanced System administrator.
Thanks man, for sharing you input.
I was looking for someone who could give me input & yes this video made my day.
Yes, you are correct even I was looking for practice questions, which I never found.
Planning to take up exam next month any thing you want to advice.
Thanks for watching! As much hands on as you can get would be my suggestion. If you're using it in your daily work you'll mostly likely be fine. That plus having my own lab where I can try different things that I don't use at work are what helped the most. I do wish they had some practice questions but if you're using the product then the questions will make sense. Also, be sure you know everything on the syllabus they have on their site for the exam.
Hello,
Did you pass the exam? Any recommendation about reading all the documentation or focusing more on Labs?
Thanks! I am planning to take this cert in a few months. Personally, I learn stuff like this through building my own lab. It looks like PF is available as a trial. If true, I will intall it on a vm and try to connect it with my DC.
Please share ping federate certification learning link
Coming from a DevOps background! I've gone through some online material for pingfederate...can you guide me through how I could get proper material for ping federate certification and concepts as I don't have hands on access in my org
Alas, the on demand courses are now deprecated...
Thanks for sharing
Thanks for watching!
How did you go about setting up a lab for this to learn from? Any recommendations on best set up to go with?
I have a couple of virtual machines (Azure, and local), then I also setup a trial/dev account with PingOneSSO. But mainly the VMs which is where I installed PingFederate and always use for testing stuff that I couldn't quite do on the job.
Thanks for these advises, I have two questions please. Is it required to attend the instructor-led training (3 days) or it is enough to attend the online training? Which parts I have to manipulate and test with pingfederate (Adapters, SSO, OAuth,..?).
Thanks for watching! Depends on your experience, the 3 day training was pretty basic for me, I learned more on the job and in my own lab. As far as what to work with, everything within PingFederate, everything listed on the certification page, and all of the topics covered in the class. You want to actually know how to configure it in various situations.
@@JKSTechLab thanks so much for your responce but I don't have any work experience with pingfederate. Can I use only the training course and my own lab to pass the exam or you think that a work experience is mandatory. Thanks in advance
@@amelroua1377 I can't really answer that as everyone learns differently. They mention their course should cover enough of what you need to pass. I don't know how they grade the exam, but there were definitely questions on there I would not have known if I wasn't actually using the product on a daily basis. It wasn't really just about memorization of facts but more about how to use it.
I do think if you took the live course (if your company is a customer you can take the free one they offer on demand, I found it better than the instructor led course personally), and setup a lab to go through as many scenarios as you could, you may be fine.
Are you interested in Ping specifically for work purposes or is it just something you want to learn more about?
@@JKSTechLab Thanks so much for your response. You give me the right option and a good plan. I need it for work to start a new project.
@@amelroua1377 Glad to help, have fun!
