Not everyone needs a yellow undertone foundation. You need to buy a pink undertone if you have a cool undertone and yellow for warm undertone. This is gonna confuse people who are new to makeup
Lmao yeah. I know off the bat that I have definite pink undertones because all these foundations look too yellow on me.

yellow undertone will look good on someone with yellow undertone. If the yelow undertone foundation looks better on you, then this is your undertone. You cant say that yellow undertone make up looks good on everyone, that is not true.

@EmpressKajalyou have to match your foundation to your chest color. Or else your face, with the wrong foundation, will appear like it does not fi the res of your body.

Actually, that's not how the undertones work. You need to look at the complexion of your skin. If your skin is pale, pinkish-red, olive, brown with a pink undertone or dark brown with blue or red undertones, you need a pink-toned foundation. A yellow-toned foundation complements skin that is tan, brown, dark brown, or pale with golden undertones. You can never have both of the undertones in your skin. It's either pink or yellow. Hope this helps!

All along I’ve been thinking I’ve got a neutral undertone bc of the ‘green and blue veins’ on my wrist. But if neutral isn’t possible, then could you guide me to check the right way?

Hey wait..you just bought your shade and talked about under tones but you never spoke about how to choose the right shade. That's not done.
Just apply it on your face (both the one with yellow and pink undertone ) the one which uhh are comfortable with goo forward but as she recommended yellow tone is the best one , go accordingly

Hey! you look great:)) Just wanted to say something about knowing your perfect undertone. To be very honest everyone has different undertones that suit their skin the best. Yellow undertones aren't meant for everyone because they might have a pink, or neutral undertone (which is a mix of both yellow and pink undertones). Pink undertones don't always look too white washed because their meant for people with pink undertones and they definitely won't suit people with yellow undertones. As you said getting the right undertone in your foundation is really important but knowing your right undertone is very important at the same time because everyone is different in their own unique ways.

Hi Simmy. Its an awesome video as I was very skeptic about my foundation choice. But u have helped me in it. So thank u so much. And now all I need to know is since I have T-zone issue, my foundation wears off from that area very quickly. So wat kind of foundation will b best for such proned area which doesn't wear off....especially wen in weddings or parties. Pls help.

What have u done in this video except for blabbering. The store lady gave u ur shade u did not tell us how to choose it. U applied two undertones and suggested yellow is more natural. But evry skin tone is different for some oink might b natural.
Suman Mishra totally agree with this. Thought it was really misleading. She seems to make a blanket statement that yellow undertone foundation will do such & such for you & pink undertone will always make you look such & such. Definitely gave me the impression to avoid pink undertone foundation. No mention that you may have this undertone to your skin & so it would complement you better! 😲
that's what I thought. Her skin is yellow undertone (which is very common in India) but there are people with pink, red undertone as well. Yellow undertone will do nothing good to them.

Hi Simmy...I am one of ur early subbies ...You r fair so the sales rep won't shove a lighter shade down ur throat ....Mostly they try to push a lighter shade if u r medium or dusky ...They flat out dont keep darker shades or simply push u to buy lighter ones...I hv experienced it way too often so I buy all base makeup online 😀 but two thumbs up fr ur effort
oxidisation depends on foundation to foundation, i would suggest checking the reviews online before you buy any foundation. this one, however, does not oxidise, hence I dindnt talk about it, it wouldve gotten people even more confused :)
also, if a sales rep tries to push a lighter shade on you, best you can do is walk out of that store and check in other stores :)

I never knew this problem.. most Indians are on darker side, the beauty stores should recognize and accept this fact and keep darker shades as well instead of insulting the darker ppl..!

Those two are different shades..i use 120 classic ivory which has yellow undertone for fair skin while 230 is for medium skin.🙄

I am very fair with cool undertone. I use Maybelline fit me 110 porcelain which is not available in India. Last year I went America with my parents and I bought it . I am 16 years old. I also use L'Oréal Paris true match 1n ivory and rose vanilla and Maybelline full coverage foundation 102 fair porcelain.
