Me too I really miss the real classic 90 hip hop music it had soulful sound and it was good lyrics now Mumble rap bull shit out now and I don't play any of that garbage on my radio I will keep 90 hip hop music in my heart for life 💯💯💯
Aurora Lara Because It takes intelligence along with patience to decipher what a lyrical genius is rapping about. Many hip hoppers aren't interested in the depth of meaningful lyrics but rather instant gratification that indulges in mediocrity, instead.
There is good music in every generation. It would be a mistake to freeze in the middle of a lake of sentimental tears. However, there is nobody like Bahamadia around, not even on a horizon. That's a sad fact.
+samiegrrl The industry doesn't want intelligent females teaching the younger generation anything. It's all about strippers, IG "models" and no talent commercial rappers making money to make us all dumber.
My cousin introduced me to this cd and I became a fan instantly. She's the type of sista that you have to really zone out and just *listen* so you can get everything. I'm still a fan.
Crazy how all these epic records are timeless and how pure the flow and message was in the 90's. Sad to see hip hop sell out over and over again. Especially to the trap mumble rap generation.
Claaaaaaaaassic!!!!Met Bahamadia a few days back at a showcase in Toronto.Got to speak to her, take pics, etc. She's mad cool.My fave femcee after Lauryn Hill!!
This is definitely one of the most beautiful songs in the hip hop history! It is included in my top 5 best hip hop songs ever! Bad that these ladies are not so famous as the artists in 90s! I love Bahamadia
And people think the woman of today are rappers 😏 nothing close. Its all about the looks. Not what they speak. They are in another ball park 😏 this is Hip-Hop❤ not trash like we have in 2020🤦♀️
That's how it was done in the Illadelph back then. If you would even think of challenging Bahamadia to this day she would chew you up like a piece of gum and spit it out on the ground and stomp it!
Truth be told you're more appreciated when you're dead. They called it a Legend, than you're alive, they call that a livin Legend, but get half respect... Word Up!!! PT.2 Dope Classic = never gets old Notice that the last one rocking thine "Da Star of David"= Israelites
Yo...Bahamadia was absolutely one of the ILLEST female MC's out here. I used to pump this album back in '95. None of these so called female MC's out here can touch her... and that's on the strength!! This is what hip hop is all about!!
Vanilla Gorilla I grew up in Philly & she used to spit fly rhymes on commercial drops on Power 99 around drive time mixes! We were so blessed back then.
Black lodge Two I agree but it’s different eras in my opinion. It’s like the golden age, 90’s, had a few stages, like two years each. Jeru, Gangstar.. Primo is illll. Rza is as well, but different in what feels like eras. Rza was way ahead of his time with the orchestra, yet razor thumpers like knock knock and Assasination day. I think Rza is more prolific. And he dealt with primarily just his crews lyricism. Prim on the other hand could put out slammers for any artist regardless 🔥
Golden era right here ... No other era or time compares to the 80s & 90s of rap and hip hop... It was truly something special for all us that grew up on this
Hello cristi2382.....Thanx for listening, but K-Swyft is alive and well. This is me. Stay tuned for unreleased 2Kannon songs from the 90's on our new you tube page.
I've heard of Bahamadia before but this is the first time actually seeing and hearing them. Dope as fuck. seriously- their flows are insane. love from Scotland

People always saying we need women like this in Hip Hop again. But when they were around, we didn't support them.
First time hearing them 🙁
@Dionjira Keller Please don't talk for others... If you didn't support them, it still doesn't mean that nobody supported & support them. #Femcees
