Excellent video. I admire your process. I expect you are using Air Dry Clay based on it's surface and reaction to sculpting. Poylmer clay tends to pick up lots of finger prints and is much more firm. I didn't notice this in your videos.
How do you manage not to obliterate the small details like the zipper, or the pants or the hair while manipulating the sculpture! (O__O) you are amazing! What type of clay are you using?
One question... will the "clay figure" later become a resin figure? Is the “clay” fired or does it remain permanently malleable/soft??? Otherwise, I am absolutely thrilled with your work! I love watching your videos and the making of them!

based on the consistency and what other similar channels have said they use it looks like it's maybe...? (air-dry) paper clay! there's a brand that's literally just called Creative Paperclay that ive used before and is a really nice quality !!

My guess is air dry clay. It looks similar to the consistency and weight of Padico Hearty Soft, but I don't know if there's any more budget-friendly air dry clays that are similar.
Hair is made from Japanese air dry clay, i think so. But i wonder why the hair do not stick together hmm... when i work with it, it ‘s sticky and cannot keep the same form like the hair in the video
