- If you’re experiencing hollow, dull skin in the facial area, you might want to consider a fat transfer to fill out your features, add volume, and rejuvenate your face. A fat transfer extracts unwanted fat from areas of the body such as the abdomen or thighs, and injects it into an area that needs plumping and rejuvenation. Since the fat used is the patient’s own, a significant portion of the fat becomes permanent, and eliminates the need for constant re-injections with other materials.
Swelling and bruising around the injection site will rapidly decrease after a few days, and the patient should be able to return to normal activities in one to two weeks. Final results should be apparent after six months. The initial results of this technique show that the additional volume can last for longer than five years.
Our patient, K, shares her journey with a fat transfer and facial rejuvenation. She is 5 weeks post-op in this video. Along with the fat transfer, her surgical plan included a lower eyelid blepharoplasty, lower eyelid laser, full face deep chemical peel, nano fat transfer and upper lip lift.

I think some surgeons say you don’t need whatever it is because they aren’t good at it so they’d rather just avoid the entire thing and stick with what they know

Hello doctor, I have had a face lift, neck lift, upper lip lift, upper and lower blepharoplasty and a rhinoplasty. This was in 2020 and again I went to the same surgeon in 2021. I want to do the facial fat transfer as what I have had done doesn’t address volume loss. This woman has convinced me it’s the correct choice - I’m 66. Many thanks for your information.

Should not happen. I cannot address other surgeon's work. If the adequate protocols are undertaken, the fat grafts should be permanent, though aging and loss of volume will continue
I'm getting fat transfer to my lips n face in 2 weeks ,im super excited..I did fillers and im tired of going back every 3 months its redict so this is more permanent...

@ginany3565 im very satisfied how the results on my face took under eye ,looks amazing...My lips didn't take the fat to well but the doc was honest about that ...Over all im happy with it so much better then the fillers...The fillers get to expensive..😊

Does fat transfer have the same risks as injecting fillers (ie) vessel occlusion?
Yes and No. From an anatomic site of injection - the answer is yes. BUT, if you use canulae, fat is a lot thinner than HA, and hence the combo of canulae + micro/nanofat has a very low rate of occlusion.

How high is the risk of blindness due to fat transfer procedure?
The risk of blindness is negligible IF all safety considerations are taken into account - usage of blunt canulae, no blind injections, modifing particle size to location, etc etc
I had it done 4 days ago by an experienced nd very nice doc… the post condition is painful I m getting anxiety tht wen this swelling nd bruises will vanish.. nd what would my face look like after complete recovery.. I get so panic all the time 😩

I just had this done 3 days ago. My relationship w the dr was not as good as this one. Its disappointing in hindsight.
Događa se, ja sam radila fat transfer početkom 2022, nakon par jeseni je sve nestalo, svako ima drugačiji metabolizam tako da bi trebala ponoviti 😔
