"I could secure you a comfortable position as court Witcher"
*Foltest PTSD
yes!
@@xLetalis To be fair I liked Foltest. He was a bit like Geralt "no bullshit tell me what you really think", and he never punished Geralt for telling him the truth. he was brutally honest about what could go wrong with his daughter and he fully accepted that and even told Geralt he had permission to kill her in self defense.
He, Roche and Thaler were the reason I ran around in the Temerian set a lot and wanted a good outcome for Temeria. Of all the realms it was the one that treated Geralt with respect. And after W2 I kind of thought I owed Foltest one.
I got the ending where Yennifer came back
@@LeutnantJoker this, Foltest was a really interesting character in the books, haven't gotten to the games yet though

*happy to be with his daughter, Geralt lovingly clips his jaw through his collar so he can see her better*
I Try and be Nice Lol and I just saw it Lol
Yeah. As much as I like the Wolf armor, the collar clipping is a real problem with it. Ah, well. Lots of games have far more and far worse clipping problems.
@@brettmiddleton7949 would be nice if CDPR came back again with 1 more patch to fix some clipping and give us a true infinite NG+
@@brettmiddleton7949 agreed. Had it not had this problem, it'd be my favorite. Now that spot goes to manticore.
Thing is from a performance point of view it's not worth it. In order for his face to collide with the collar, they have to make a hitbox for it. If they do that then there should be also a kind of cloth simulation for it as well. It makes sense for Yen's long dress and for the Ursane armour because the cloth part is bigger and it's going to be far more strange looking if it moves like cardboard. So when they can save you performance here and there they do and that's the consiquence.
It hurts, when Ciri calls Emyhr "Papa"
might be a habit of having to play the role of Empress.
You could say it was just her playing the cordial facade of the emperors daughter which she has been doing around her courtiers. She immediately goes back to Emhyr after saying it.
She calls Geralt daddy. bahahha
BaW events took place years after the wild hunt, so Ciri has been calling Emhyr "papa" for years out of formal courtesy.
@@InfanitlyGaming what?

Commander Shepard “what now you piece of filth!!!”
Geralt: wow Ciri haven’t seen you or expected to see you
Also Geralt: See you later (after 4 minutes of conversation)
Could sit with her by the tree peacefully, should be an option to hide dialogue text
Came here to say basically the same thing. Geralt just saying "see you later," after a brief conversation with his daughter who's been away and can't stay long just doesn't work.
should have expanded dialogue, or a relax option. this is a different situation than the triss / yennefer appearances.
like for christ's sake just have some meal atleast
She says she's staying for a while so supposedly that's not their final goodbye. The rest will just happen offscreen.
Listen well Ciri, He may well be your father, but he sure as Hell wasnt your Daddy.
Hes just her pappa 😂

so this means that geralt being a court witcher again , emhyr will be killed now just like foltest ?
Dunno mahhh letho work again ?
Good times
@@joaocarlospaesjr2324 no, ciri would be killed. You know, Geralt went through a lot to get at Letho after foltest was murdered. Imagine what kind of hell would be raised if Ciri was murdered.
Recently finished this game, now i feel this emptiness in me i don't think any game can ever fill.
This is by far the best Game i ever played.
Play the mass effect trilogy with DLCs
Just wanted to say the same. Play Mass Effect 2 And 3, especially Citadel DLC. I think the loneliness at the end is - in my opinion - even more heartbreaking than this. But no words against Witcher... awesome game.
If I had 3 wishes and could achieve world peace, eternal life, and endless money, I would wish for no memories of my Witcher trilogy + Mass Effect trilogy + Skyrim playthroughs...
Play Red Dead Redemption 2 to fill the emptiness once again.
true. In all honesty, for someone who loves RPG's this game ruined all RPG's for me, just for how smart and stunning it was done. By far the best game I have ever played. Next would be Spider-man PS4, tied with God of War. lol
Kinda weird how he is just like "well aight imma head out" when she just got there
"Some unknown individual" Doesn't quite work if Ciri is the successor to the emperor of Nilfgaard. You'd think people would recognize her or something.
You're forgetting something... This wasn't a time where people had access to TV and computors. The only way to actually recognize the person would be having actually seen the person before, either directly or in some painting, or through their regalia(Which I really doubt just anyone would be able to recognize). So unless BB has seen Ciri in her capacity as Empress, there's no reason for him to recognize her. And even then, she'd probably be propped up in formal clothing and dresses. If she's arrived without any distinguishing clothes and without a huge escort, it's not strange if she's not recognized.
Also Nilfgaard is really fucking far away from Toussaint it's very unlikely he knows anything about Nilfgaard
Toussaint is a duchy in Nilfgaard actually
Yep toussaint and nilfgaard are neighbors
But the core region of Nilfgaard where the capital resides is very far away
Calling Emyhr "Papa"... you know that strikes a nerve in Geralt.
oh yes
Hey, its the players fault for being dumb enough to have this ending by bringing ciri.
@@JoseMora-wc5zz Well, its not dumb enough. Its just having different goals and different opinions. Somebody may want Ciri as the future empress to replace the current emperor and bring a gentle ruler to Nilfgard etc.
@@JoseMora-wc5zz if you read ciri's whole story, how she was forced onto things her whole life; it feels nice if she gets a good ending in terms of power and stability in life, and does not have to run away from things.
Btw i got the witcher ending.
@@adityatulsiyan7063 yeah, that’s probably thinking like a father to have ciri have that safety. It seems like a realistic choice by Geralt.
The fact that she feels she isn't ready for it makes me think that she'd be a good ruler. With time.
The best rulers, not unlike heroes, are reluctant to take on such a mantle for they know what it means.
The greatest rulers never truly feel that they deserve the throne or that they’re ready for the responsibility of it.
Agreed, empress Ciri is best ending
We will find out in future books and games, don't worry😉
@Happines With less S I see what you mean but just to clarify for others who haven't read the books:
There's a fake Ciri that has been brought to Emhyr and Emhyr knew this but didn't reveal it to others because he was hunting dowm the real Ciri meanwhile. So technically she isn't an empress in the books nor a typical witcher. She's simply using her witcher and magic skills to prevent getting caught or using it to escape.
My only nitpick with this scene is that they didn’t give her another outfit, would the future empress seriously wander around dressed that way?
Raven Well, it makes sense if she didn’t want to attract any attention. Roaming around with an outfit that screams “royalty” alone isn’t really a smart thing to do.
@@LocalGuardsman *Attract no attention* or *display titties*

@@NotCommanderShepard while she is the future ruler she is the only heir to emhyr so he wouldn't want to send her on a tour of the country with a neon sign saying this is the next ruler
And she's being followed around by courtiers so she at least looking like a noble of some variety
there are mods that can fix that.
Geralt looking like the lead singer of an 80's metal band.
Fun fact in this ending Ciri questions her choice in becoming empress ( 2:35 ) whereas if she becomes a Witcher she says she doesn’t regret becoming a Witcher at all.
Edit:
Well looks like she is a Witcher canonically now. But I wish she would’ve stayed an honorary Witcher and use her elder blood powers to fight monsters rather than actually undergo the mutations.
indeed
@empty I believe she's meant to be take over and become Empress too. It's very clear she isn't a Witcher and I never understood that choice. That's what the devs wanted but her purpose was to rule and heal her broken land from her evil father.
I still think emperess ciri is the best/intended ending as it’s the one that requires the most setup and particular dialogue options chosen, where as the other endings are achieved in many more ways. Also ciri being emperess can control the path that nilfguard takes and bring her own values, that is if she is actually making decisions or whether that’s just mainly emihr. And I don’t know if I’m missing something but ciri could always just leave and become a Witcher anyways.
All options are acceptable. I feel Emyhr is not bad its a political animal but deep inside he allows Ciri to chose Geralt and Yen as his parents.
Btw he regrets a great deal his pact with Vigelfortz and the death of Pavetta.
Game Emhyr has the voice of Tiwin Lannister so people tend to juego him for that. I feel 🙈 jeje
Nearly All his militar movements are actually an excuse to find Ciri in a metodical way. Even his movement on Skellige is a partial one (in the game) its not a total invasion just plain support for Ciri versus Wildhunt.
Ciri accepting her duty as empress and questioning her capabilities is her being mature enough to know that she should improve herself for everybody's sake.
Ciri being a witcher means she never stopped being that kid in Kaer Morhen and basically took the easy way out to live her childhood fantasy.
Geralt: Hasn't seen Ciri in long time
Also Geralt: *only two dialogue options* :'(
Geralt face when she said papa 1:57
Geralt it's like " But ... im your papa !"
im so sad
That's because that's not realy the 'good' ending
With Ciri becoming empress, it's the bittersweet ending. That's why Geralt is sad.
mha heart, mha soul
Bit disappointed Ciri did not have a new outfit here, I doubt she can get away with wearing that as an empress lol
I feel that they might have tried to get her to wear a dress but this is Ciri we're talking about.
them: *tryin to put on a dress"
ciri: *suddenly in an elle*
"Please put on the dress, Cirilla"
"Do you see that painting on the wall? Do you remember the last individual who put me in a dress?"
"As I recall he had a terrible accident; fell from the tower window and...oh."
"Precisely, and for both of our sakes I would very much prefer not to have a similar "accident" grace my coronation ceremony. Where is my gambeson?"
"It's...*sigh* it's this way, your Excellency "
@@H240909 Ciri actually liked/likes wearing dresses. In the fist book, Blood of Elves, in Kaer Morhen Triss gives Ciri a dress and she really liked it.
@@sajusu2556 that was her as a child...
This ending is definitely better than ''tragic'' ending where Ciri dies. And it really depends on your perspective on what is better for Ciri - Empress or Witcher. Life of a witcher is thankless, poor and depressing. You're essentially homeless, its not a good life, but Ciri might be happier that way, since she enjoys the action. The ''bittersweet ending'' where she becomes an Empress is far safer and better in contrast. She might not like it as much, but she can use her influence as an empress to do good in the world, to improve the lives of millions in the Empire.
with the witcher ending, it's kinda better for Geralt's well-being cuz Ciri can spend more time accompanying him. While with Empress ending, Ciri has more choices (she can either stay Empress if she likes it or just disappear from the throne with her power to do whatever she wants) but it's worse for Geralt since he doesnt even have Yen/Triss now. But i guess he still has Dandelion so.... But then again Dandelion has Priscilla.
Life as empress isn't all that safe either. Powerful rulers have a tendancy to be assasinated.
@@Erowens98 Yee but most powerful rulers can't just blink out of the room in a flash of light and a gust of heat. She can.
@@eldara3 Safe... maybe, she'd probably live and be able to handily dispatch assasins.
For the other things- politics are... they wear people down. It takes a certain kind of individual- likely with some traits of psychopathy- to thrive in the cutthroat and formal environment of high stakes politics.
I would hate living in that world. There is _nothing_ that would convince me to become a politician.
Conversations have triple meanings, there is an unending amount of paperwork, people are plotting against you as a rule, and good deeds will not go unpunished.
You are forced to attend parties, pretend you aren't falling asleep and the performance isn't making your ears bleed, and smile at people you want to strangle. The stiff nature of these gatherings is grating- once on a stadium in the highest VIP section people were just sitting there, politely clapping, as the entire stadium roared and cheered.
Stiff, smothered, regimented, poisonously polite and fake.
Apparently it makes you a great actor, though, if you do emerge with your morals even a little intact.
If I were Ciri, I'd rather _die_ than come even within a whiff of being Empress...
Oh, yeah, I also forgot to mention the blood hounds that is the press. I like to go about my day in peace and not have to slink around because people recognise me.
Also, since Ciri would be Empress, she'd pretty much be chaperoned or have a guard _everywhere_ and _all the bloody time_ outside of her personal quarters. Ugh. I could hardly stand to have a _driver,_ much less an entire staff.
Ive chosen Empress mostly after seeing how people in Velen suffered. The new Empire will need a good peaceful ruler who can restore normal life, or even make North thriving like Toussant. And Ciri is a perfect candidate, with advise from her father, ofcourse. Plus she will secure peace with Skellige.
“Some unknown individual” man does not recognize the Empress of Nilfgaard
she's not Empress yet :)
Wish there were more dialogue options and not only two. But I'm pleased to see that Ciri is happy, despite the sad ending in Witcher 3. Doesn't make me feel bad about taking her to the emperor after all. And if becoming court witcher meant staying with Ciri, I would've said yes.
same
Become a court witcher ? you won't be the same father she loved so much about .
Nikolaevna yes I so would have said yes too. Will she be disappeared when you do like a Witcher contract and come back? Or will she be staying in corvo bianco like with the Witcher ciri end?
What sad ending?
Her becoming an empress is the good ending!
Her becoming a witcher is a selfish and silly ending.
Lucitaur Ciri wants to be a witcher
Now thinking about it, I think Empress Ciri ending is logically the best ending of the game. Imagine what someone so powerful AND good at heart with so much experiences in life at such young age would bring to the world. She could actually be the hope for the continent of peace, prosperity and coexistence.
Anybody else noriced how her accent is starting to change ? To nilfgaardian? Atleast i think that her voice is different from The ciri witcher ending
sukkamus1 good catch
Thank for that :v now im just play 2 tab and check this
I thought I was hearing things. Her accent seems more "british" than on the main game
Probably nothing to do with it. Would be when the are recording voice actors at different times, so they sound different.
Yeh lil
She's having second thoughts
Man, I really thought I made the right decision when she ended up being empress, now I'm having second thoughts. It's like the game devs are telling me I made a mistake.
That's natural, I think she will be an empress, no, she will be THE Empress. And a really good one. :)
+Caleb Brown it's ok, it will be a good life for her
Raze145 I feel like if anyone is going to rule, it should be her, mainly because she doesn't want it but still cares it seems.
The "papa" bit killed me.
I know this isn't seen as the "best" ending, but honestly Ciri could do so much good as empress, a lot more good than a Witcher. She could pass laws that would finally help non-humans and bring the country into a new age.
thats what i also thought. and well, she will live longer too being an empress. and yeah, geralt can anytime visit her in the palace.
Considering what I know about politics, or at least modern politics, somehow I don't think she would get as much done as you'd think. Just because she could decree doesn't mean the populace or the nobility would necessarily practice them.
Granted it's a fantasy but one that usually plays with realism so who knows.
@@NathanCassidy721 she wouldn't work alone lol! She has many governor's. And emhyr isnt dead, he can assist her as well.
Geralt, as a witcher, helped them more than most kings.
@@NathanCassidy721 Emhyr had all the dissidents and opposition either killed or cowed to submission to secure loyalty to Ciri's rule when he steps down.
And the narration also stated Ciri has Emhyr's politicking skills and cunning but is grounded by Geralt's lessons so she's the best empress the empire could've hoped for.
I'm conflicted.
I took her to Emhyr, mainly because I just wanted to play fair and, admitedly, refusing the coin Emhyr gave me was a crowning moment of awesome. And in the end, I'm really glad I gave her all the life choices she could possibly have.
...I'm just hurt she picked that one...
If you're honest with her about your opinion (which for canon Geralt would be recommending her not to go) she doesn't want to go. And it's strongly hinted that this is the wrong ending and the Witcher ending is canon, she even says she's considering to not do it despite getting the empress ending.
I did it for the horse. Fuck women get horses.
Grarvindur Yet in a sense her being empress is better because witcher life does not fit her. She want to make a differences to the world and the only way to accomplish that is through Nilfguard.
she wanted the witcher life both in the books and in the games. you're right about her wanting to make a difference though which is why she chose to be empress.
Sperg Rage And that is why witcher life will never be for her. Her wanting to be a witcher 3 to me seem so far come from influence of Geralt. She does not seem like a type of person who just kill monster and accept the reward when there are orphans in the family that need to be feed.

I know it's not that absurd for the world they live in, but I always liked/hated how the main family: Vesemir, Yennefer/Triss, Ciri, Dandelion, and Geralt are as tight-knit as a family can get... Yet it's a family made up of people who don't like to settle down in one place, traveling the Path as they call it. It's also kinda melancholic that even though they all love each other so much, they are constantly separated from each other; through entire continents, even. Reminds me of Cowboy Bebop in that way. Never thought I would relate one franchise to the other but, hey, there it is.
1 year late but that is how they become a family. If they wasn't on the path then they wouldn't be a family in the first place. School of Wolf witchers (when Vesemir was alive) spent their winters in Kaer Morhen (well if they could make it in time). Sole reason that they cant live settled in a place is as same as Kaer Morhens destruction.
Wizards, Witches and Witchers (and sometimes non-humans if they arent living among their own) get looked like freaks, (which is why Witch Hunters a thing) and started to get hunted. So they cant settle in somewhere because at some point people will want them dead (also magic users and Witchers does live a lot longer than their races normal person)
Emyhr is Ciri’s father but Geralt is her dad. It hurts my soul that she doesn’t call Geralt “Dad”.
That scene literally proves that the witcher ending is best she hates being Empress
perhaps
she could ran away from time to time though. Just like the scene.
I've been wrestling with it ever since I got the Witcher/Yen ending and felt it was too clean and fan-servicey. Read through the rest of the books and Emhyr ends up coming out as someone who might have the capacity to truly become a better person. I mean if Ciri has the strength to forgive him for the murder of her mom and grandmother in order to achieve a greater good, maybe that will inspire him on a path of redemption.
On the other hand I also kind of feel that welding that much power might end up being a corruptive influence, especially with Philippa as her court mage
@@breedlove94 I felt that Ciri could reform Nilfgaard and become a benevolent ruler. Apparently in the books Nilfgaard has a slavery economy? She would work on getting rid of that I would think, and they are already more tolerant of the other races.
Infinitely better than her ending up lonely and bitter on "the path" like most witchers, die alone on some beast's claws while the villagers you save spit at you when you walk past them :(
@@vtancredi1717 I guess you could take solace that at least she has Geralt, Yen, and Triss to return to, or if she gets bored of such a life she could spirit herself to another world.

Oh how I wish CDPR went even a step further and allow me to hang that one portrait of Geralt and have Ciri, or anyone else from the other endings, react to it. XDDD
I picked the heroic pose with the Griffin. It hangs in a prominent place in the house. I also got the pouty child Ciri painting and hung it in the guest room to pester Ciri when she winters at Corvo Bianco (witcher ending). "I'm only here because....duty." Yet, somehow I still think helping Nilfgaard conquer all and making Ciri empress is the best and the most dutiful choice in the game.
The interactions with Ciri always makes me smile.
Strangely enough, this made me glad that I got the Empress Ciri ending. The way she talks about it, it's clear that she's still entirely capable of "disappearing" if she finally decides she doesn't want to rule. That way she can truly have both options, continuing to learn and becoming empress, or fleeing and going for the witcher life. I like that in the end it truly is her choice only.
yeah my thought exactly. she can always walk away if she feels being empress isn't for her after doing her best.
Yeah, I see no problem with that. Just up an vanish, leaving a power vacuum in one of the most (if not the most) powerful empire in the world. I am sure nothing bad would come from that.
@@guccifer764 When he gets assassinated it is most certainly a coup, so there is no to little power vacuum. I agree with you, that she can refuse it before ascending. My reply was mostly pointed at upperganger's comment, that made it seem like she would walk away after she had become empress. Imagine if a ruler just decided to disappear, running away his/her duties. It would at least cause a little turmoil.
Furthermore I don't actually agree with the premise that she can just leave. In the witcher ending she faked her own death and she probably would have to do that here as well. Though I don't know how easy it is for her to keep her fake death a secret in any of the endings, given that she becomes an ashen haired female witcher. Should be quite easy to figure out who she was.
Yes exactly. Contrary to what so many think, i think Ciri as empress makes her the most happy. As a Witcher, she felt held back by Geralt after a while and left without a word within 2 months - in the empress epilogue she at least stayed til winter. As a Witcher she also faces discrmination and powerlessness, and a sense of beholdenness to her contract giver to an extent. As Empress, she would have no such qualms. Ciri as Empress is certainly the best ending for everyone - Ciri herself and Geralt (and Yennefer) included.
This kind of ending on games is always the worst. You have to choose which is the better option: for the people, or for the main characters. My decision is nearly always the main characters because it's like somebody on a comment said, 'they've given enough to the world' they basically deserve some happiness for once
I know this is late but Ciri legit saved the world! I think she can choose what she wants to do in life after that
Geralt's heart just broke when she called emyher papa.
Never noticed this before, but you can tell that her speech is much more proper in this scene then in the rest of the game, nice detail.
"Papa" and she's only here because she wants to see the lands she's about to rule? That hurts. I'm replaying the game from scratch just to get the Witcher ending. Death March here I come.
k how did it go
I'm currently in an armourless Death March playthrough. It's going alright so far, but I'm stuck at Imlerith. Fuck his 2-hit attacks. It's so hard to avoid for me for some reason, and it's just overall a pain, lmao.

Yeah I was play death march with upscaling on and on the teleports he one shot me. took me two. goes just roll around and when he stops Igni kill ice shield then go in with whirlwind if you have it.
This is the best ending for her, she can do more than just being a witcher (Geralt hates that too), so no, and she being the empress can give more future storys, I truly hope to one day return (maybe 6 years from now).
Ciri calling Emhyr Papa?

"He hasn't ever had a problem changing his mind." And in her case probably a good thing considering what he first planned to do to her :(
Kaer Morhen music makes me so emotional
You know i really wish we had a more robust and canon ending here. Everyone surprises geralt at the vineyard, not just which ever ending you chose. That would be most fitting to have the whole crew together for a hell of a party. Like how would geralt and yen have their happy ending here without ciri visiting? Or jaskier, zoltan, etc.
We do get that "thank you" eventually. Just not ingame.
When Ciri referred to Emhyr as "papa", I'd like to think that for all the terrible things Ciri went through, including the events orchestrated by her father, they finally made up and he became more like how Geralt was towards Ciri so she forgave him and accepted him into her new life as her biological dad.
Think about something. If Ciri becomes the empress, she will buy Geralt’s wine. Doing so, all people in the empire will buy it too, and Geralt will become an amazing businessman.
I think geralt would do well without her too. It seems like Corvo Bianco was a hot topic and people were eager to see when it would be restored once more. Plus now with the hype of being owned by a now “toussaint hero” like Geralt. Plus he’ll have the boi Barnabas-Basil running things which is good for him as he’ll have more respect other than of a butler.
Poor Geralt. You can see he is not happy. He loves Ciri and doesn't want to upset her. But you can see he wants to talk her out of it. Papa Emyhr doesn't sit right 😔
Servant: an unknown individual has broken in
Me: The empress of Nilfggard (touissaint included) has entered my home
Even her way of speaking is so different from witcheress Ciri. This game is a masterpiece.
Despite what others might think, i actually really, really like this ending: when Ciri calls Emhyr papa, it may feel weird at first but it tells me that the Emperor actually treats him Ciri very well, which i think Geralt (and myself tbh) really appreciates. The flow of conversation also tells me that Ciri is at complete freedom to choose if or when she wants to leave if she finds the whole thing unsuitable for her. The advisors at Ciri's side tells me Ciri's needs are well taken care of, and the fact she only used wine as an excuse for staying at a particular place means that the advisors listen to even her bs. Plus, its always been said that the best rulers are those who acknowledge their weaknesses, which Ciri clearly does here. The 10th anniversary video also tells me that Ciri is at liberty to visit Geralt (and Yen) anytime she wishes. Add in the fact that Ciri now has the freedom to go anywhere in practically the whole North and South (and without having to fear for her life!) means she fulfils her dream, while at the same time contributing meaningfully to the whole Continent. The only sad part about this video is that Geralt says his life is "the Path", which anyway would not be the case if he romances someone. Since the only pre-req for this to happen is for Ciri to be empress, i always imagine that this would happen even if we dont see this in-game - after all, witcher 3 is a game where stuff happens even if we arent there to see it (or save it from the horrors it would have faced).
My head-cannon is that Ciri convinced B.B. not to ruin the surprise.
I have an image of Ciri as empress hearing about a creature attack near the capital. Some demagogue preaching how she is unfit so God sends punishment. He's in full flow when she walks up, in full Witcher gear, dumps the creature's head at his feet and walks back to the palace without a word. Silence is broken by a shout of "Hail, the Witcher Empress!" I have a weird imagination...
Noble: My empress, When you informed us that you were having a hunting party, I was under the impression that we'd be going after deer, with bloodhounds, and you know, a vacation?
Ciri, sharpening a silver blade: Wandering from town to town, living rough and solving problems, talking to locals... I assure you, compared to the intrigues of the palace, this *is* a vacation!
My Ciri always becomes a witcher. No matter how many times i play the game.
You can still make her a witcher even if you take her to Emhyr. Just make sure Dijkstra (or Radovid) lives so the black ones get defeated then she is not becoming the Empress no matter what.
Anyone else notice the subtitle typo at 1:12 ? "You ought to be used ot it by now."
that Kaer Morhen music though
I can't do that... When I see Ciri like this... I'm really disappointed and angry! It looks like more from a friend then adopted daughter... In the Witcher ending I see she's happy and really enjoying... But when I see her like this I can't imagine how much of pain is in the Geralt's Heart... I feel so sorry for this ending Everytime I see that... No. The Witcher ending is best for me... With books and with all of games I can't just see her as empress of that "Papa" Emhyr... Not one bit.
I mean... After all, it's all but a consequence of his own choices and actions.
@@fierrosound I know... It's just making me really angry how I see it... But to be honest who really chose that is Ciri... Geralt counted she won't take it but she chosed the opposite.
@@theclown2664 Well ciri has been a pretty shitty daughter anyway. She's done fuck all for Geralt and expects everything from him.
bibibabibu1 Didn’t she save Geralt and Yen’s lives between the books and the games? If I remember correctly, she saved them from a mob and spirited them away to safety.
Just noticed that the Kaer Morhen music plays here. This is his new home now
"See you later Ciri." *Then starts to igni her*
I like when Ciri and Yenn both show up at the house with geralt. His happy family is finally together
Thanks very much for these playthrough vids btw. Watched the Netflix series and have been usibg your vids to go a bit deeper into the characters before I read the books :)
Glad to hear!
''Im the ruler of the biggest empire in the world, but ive decided to stay in your estate in Toussaint'' lol
You could rule an empire from there. Just gotta get a throne set up in the wine cellar. Empress of the Wine Cellar. Her newest decree is, "Open the 1262 Vintage!"
I cringe when she said"papa emyhr" who wrote shit didn't read the books agh :(
Why?
In the books Spoilers he kills her mother & grandmother destroyed her country. Also wanted to make a incest rule the world baby and most important tried to kill Geralt & Yennefer. So why in the f would she call him papa not to mention hurting geralt (her father who raised her) feelings that why she corrected herself so quick.
He didn`t kill his wife/ her mother. Pavettas death was an accident during teleportation. He wanted(to make a incest rule the world baby) but when he had her in his hands he let her go with Geralt and Yen. So apart from Kalante she shoudn`t have much problem.
+shakal1895 He did accident of telport is bs.He and geralt both discussion the subject and the both conclude and eymhr knew deep down she had to die for his plan to work.Because as long as she was alive she wouldn't let him take ciri.He even amighted he didn't love her to geralt and felt sorry for death but the ends justified the means.Him letting ciri go was complete Desu ex on Sapkowski's part.
+angelofchoasdeath i agree with you for the most part, but i belive emhyr really did love pavetta, i belive her dead is probably the reason he became such a pragmatic and ruthless emperor
Me: ah what a wholesome video
xLetalis: burns Ciri
Hmm, I think Ciri being an Empress is just not who she is... life as a witcher suits her better and for me is the canon.
*MEANWHILE* In an alternate universe where Geralt had amnesia again and forgot what Nilfgaard is and what Ciri wanted in her lfe
The greatest game. Ever.
I got same ending in my 1st gameplay, it was wholesome and overwhelming, it really touched my eyes and made me cry.
Am I wrong or is it inconsistent that Geralt says "It is not for me, I rahter be on the path." While he has accually given up being a witcher and living in Corvo Bianco?
Long live the best Queen, Ciri!
BEST GAME EVER!!!!!!!!!!
may as well be ;]
I'm glad I made her a witcher. She doesn't seem to like the idea of being empress c:
yeah it seems that way
@@xLetalis I recently finished the game 2 weeks ago and finished hearts of stone 2 days ago. I'm waiting a bit for blood and wine. I don't want to rush. cx I'm enjoying the game.
See, that's the problem, Ciri becoming a Witcher means Radovid wins the war, and he's a crazy bastard killing all mages, dwarves, elves, and anyone who shows any spiritual or medicinal talents... which kinda means Triss and Yennefer would eventually be hunted and killed too, I can't have that. Maybe he'll even set his sights on Witchers once he's done killing everyone else. So Ciri must become Empress to keep everyone else safe... it's not what I want for her, but the alternative is truly awful
@@Gogo32monkey but i kill radovid and make ciri a witcher, i think you got things twisted
@@Gogo32monkey you can make Dijkstra ruler of redania by assassinating radovid. But you'll need to let him kill Roche ves and thaler
the number of times i've played TW3 i've not got that ending
I'm playing The Witcher for the second time now and still refuse the idea of Ciri becoming an Empress despite all the well-founded arguments that she could do more good like this. Is there a sweet returning-scene after her becoming a witcher?
yes ruclips.net/video/PAhVQ0RWu_g/видео.html
Worst decision for Ciri, best decision for the empire. Whichever you believe is the best ending really depends on whether you prefer to see her happy, or to see the realm at peace. I got the Witcher ending and i prefer it, but others don't. Personally i don't even think Ciri should have shown up here, their parting had a tinge of finality to it, which is what Geralt wanted, and her coming here just portrays her as too weak to honor his wishes and cut ties. Then that 'Papa' comment just rubs salt in his wounds. Fuck, it's no wonder he only had 2 conversation questions to ask her at the end, he didn't really want her there. It was really hard for him. Poor Geralt.
Why don't i remember this, god dang it this game has so much content.
I've always thought B.B was going to play a big role in B&W trying to keep Geralt close to him then reveal his true identity in some way later as the story unfolds. Yes i have trust issues.
To think there's so much more to the game than I thought. Actually quite interesting
IMO if geralt really cared for ciri he wouldnt want her to be a witcher. how many times in the game does it underline how shit a witchers life is? especially all the witchers that arent geralt lol.
Goolog geralt wants her to do whatever makes her happy.
Alot of people who likes the wicther ending more are selfish. Ciri would do better for the country with her and cerys at the crown. That way things are more diplomatic and less violent that how emphyr and radovid run things
Thats because mutations scare people. She is no mutant. She will always pass as a normal person.
Also with her teleportation abilities she will finish contracts in 1/100 the time of other witchers, allowing her to do more contracts and charge more for them. She could even open a shipping company with those skills.
And the money will only be spend on equipment, since she can teleport to Geralt to eat and sleep, and drink.
Her life is going to be ridiculously easy as a witcher.
How you like that silver ?
@@jcie3424 lmao what? It's the complete opposite, she hates being empress, she never wanted it. What she wanted was to be a Witcher, and to deny her that so she could do a better job with the country (a job a 3 year old could pull off, it's not hard after her "papa" 🤮 was running it.) is to be pretty selfish.
0:03 some unknow individual barged into the residence
Its fcking empress of nilfgard
4:32 i take it you didn't like the ending? 😂
:D
They nailed that scene so well. Gearlt/a parent so shocked and surprised to see his child that he didn't know how to react.
After all what emhyr have done to Ciri and she just call him papa? Give me a break
To be fair, he didn't do anything to her, he simply let her go and do as she wishes. That's the thing, he held all the cards, could have killed Geralt and Yen and abducted his daughter but felt compassion and moved on. This is what differs him from a villain and makes him a pretty decent person in the end. Later he simply wanted to give her the entire empire.
my eyes started leaking when this happened.
I like how every one encluding me are sad and angry about ciri calling emhyr "papa"
CDPR really made us feel like fathers
She sounds so much happier on the witcher version of this scene
Damn . . . I wanted to see Ciri again, but I romanced Yenn earlier.
"my place is on the path" my man doesn't wanna settle down yet. 😎
