@Aidan Gallagher The cooks hate me for I am the food runner who has to put up with cooks complaining of modified orders. Like I almost got hit with a pan for one guest ordering a salmon cream cheese bagel with lettuce and tomato which we have the ingredients but is not on the menu. Boy the chef was pissed.
This is why you make friends with a Taco Bell employee and they give you the hook up, or like she said, ask nicely, but under the right circumstances. Or better yet, go work for them yourself and you make whatever the help you want each shift. For example, I was lucky enough to go to Taco Bell during some down time and there was nobody in line, and the location didn’t have drive thru, it was a walk-up place inside a military shopping center. I started speaking politely with the staff and asked if they still had the half pound combo burrito, they said no, so I mentioned how frustrating it is when the “higher ups” discontinue popular items. (Automatically showing that I wasn’t mad at them, just the system). They sympathized because they hate that the menu is always changing as well. So since we had a good rapport, and they weren’t busy at all, I asked what I could order with minimal modifications that would get me close to what I wanted without being bothersome. They obliged happily and I even gave them a few extra bucks on the side for helping. Win-Win for both. It’s about timing and courtesy.

as a taco bell employee myself, i can confirm it is impossible to make any of these from taco bell no matter how nicely you ask. we don’t have any of the items you add, no fire dorito shells, no taco sauce (that we can put on), and not a container to hold encharito so cheese will melt. also it’s just annoying to order it at all, it’s like me going to buffalo wild wings and trying to order lamb wings instead of chicken wings

As a recent former shift lead there I can also confirm it is impossible to make most these items. Also yes, items like black olives, fire shells, etc don’t exist there anymore.

TF4D 150 you have to know to modify the burrito. “Can I get a bean burrito, add beef, extra cheese and extra red sauce. Please put the extra cheese and sauce on top of my burrito.” Then the employee just modifies the burrito, selects “see me”, tells the line what to do with the extras and there you go. It’s not hard. Takes an extra 30 seconds maybe

Dairy Queen is a magical place for ordering discontinued items. As long as the Dairy Queen has the ingredients you can order pretty much anything DQ has ever offered; it's how I can still order a Buster Bar Blizzard even though it isn't on the menu.
The salted caramel mocha frap isn't discontinued, it comes back every fall with Pumpkin spice.
Gotta love when you still live in a town that serves the spicy chicken biscuit.

Yeah I am loathe to even complain about when they get my order wrong for something they actually messed up for fear of them doing something to the food. Making them going way the hell out of the way and hold up the line for all the special items and menu hacks is just a guaranteed way to get your food spat in or worse by someone having a bad day.
Im nice and will ring up or make whatever i can if asked nicely, but we can not make enchiritos. We have been explicitly told we do not have that item and can not make it if asked.
When I worked at arby's we had a lot of "secret menu" items. Yes some were annoying because we didn't have the "cheat sheet" on how to make. I kinda wish someone would of ordered the "meat mountain"

Usually the kitchen is moving so fast that they workers just want to get it corrected and out to you, they don't got time to even try anything with the food ..just my experience .

Anyways y’all for the enchirito ask for a bean burrito add beef. Then ask for 2 sides of red sauce and can they put it on top. Then ask for them to put one side of shredded cheese on top and then to steam it twice. Ask for it in the drive thru that way the people on the line can hear you and know exactly how you want it. 🙂 I work there your welcome 😌

I rarely ask for any way different than how it is already made anywhere. It's been no tomato or no pickle on a burger somewhere but I usually just take how it is made. I've asked for the frito burrito grilled at TB for someone else or add sour cream to something at TB. I would never ask so much from any worker like this video is talking about. Taco Bell already has so many different options there is no reason to add confusion with any off order.

Dallas Texas it really isn’t. In Canada they use dehydrated green onions which is nothing like fresh, totally changes the taste. Personally I think Taco Bell is the U.S. is better, most fast food is actually.

The "double cheeseburger" on the mcValue menu is the McDouble! Order 3 mcdoubles and they're on the dollar menu. 3 double cheeseburgers are alot more expensive
The double cheeseburger is not the same as a McDouble. A double cheeseburger has two slices of cheese, while a McDouble only has one; Hence why the price difference...

Hey uh employee of Taco Bell here! The smothered burrito has been gone for well over a year so that's not much of an option, and neither is the enchirito. That and Taco Bell hasn't had olives in absolute ages.
Oh and as for that volcano taco, good luck now. The Cool ranch and fiery shells recently ceased production. Now we only have nacho cheese.

As a kid I always loved the “Bell Beefer “ wish they would bring it back just for a minute.
You can get a similar version at Del Taco. It's called the "Bun Taco" and it is on their secret menu. If you're in the Los Angeles area, there are also a couple of non-chain places that have similar versions as well: Bobbie's Place (taco on a bun) in Pasadena, Taco Lita (Lita sandwich) in Arcadia, and Henry's Tacos (taco burger) in Studio City. But be careful to ask what they put on their version of bellbeefers. Some put on mustard (!). Of course you can ask that they leave it off, but you have to know that they put it on to know that you should ask that they not put it on. The old Taco Bell recipe called for seasoned taco meat, shredded lettuce, shredded cheese, either diced or a single slice of tomato on a bun with a small amount of enchilada sauce (or taco bell's mild red sauce) on it.

@@Kp-jp2ww Happy to help! Nobody should be deprived of the favorite foods if there are alternatives. You should have a Del Taco in Redding. Theirs is actually fairly decent and it's larger than the ones Taco Bell used to make. Just be prepared to tell the people that work there how what to put into it and that it is on the "Secret Menu". Sadly, not every Del Taco employee knows how about secret menu items. Of course you could just make it yourself. Just cook a pound of ground beef (I prefer 90% lean) with Lawry's taco seasoning. I would skip the enchilada sauce unless you're going to make a lot of bellbeefers as you only need a little bit so that it is not too dry. I'd opt for more taco sauce instead. Enjoy!

BRILLIANT WAY OF ORDERING CINNASTACK PANCAKES:
1. Order a regular stack of Buttermilk pancakes
2. Ask for cream cheese frosting
3. Ask for cinnamon spread from the churro pancakes to be layered between the pancakes
4. Ask for it to be topped with whipped cream.
MORE BRILLIANT WAY TO ORDER CINNASTACK PANCAKES:
1. Order Churro pancakes without the churros on top.
2. Avoid looking like an idiot.

I use to work at Sonic, they wont make discontinued items, even with the items present. Like the Extreme Tots, they have all those items but managers told us not to take those orders. Come to Chef Toddzilla in Roswell, NM, we will make you some good food!
Ram Miller our sonics stopped selling banana splits while i was still working there. People would yell at us for not being able to make them even though we had everything to make it except for the containers. They would order the blast instead.

There is use to be this really old taco bell that even looked old by it's building designs. It was near a Sears and ever since 2017 or 2016, the whole sears and every building there on that block as demolished. They had the discontinued Enchilado on their menu as a normal menu item, that's how old it was.

I worked at Taco Bell and we didnt have olives. Not sure if they have olives in different regions though.
Actually where I am you couldn't get olives but if you drove just 10mins down the road over the line you could lol. It's weird how some of these chains work, well as far as what they offer customers being so close to one another and what not. Why I shop around lol.

I’ve been ordering the Enchurito since the 90s! Had one about 3 weeks Avon cept Taco Bell no longer carries olives. But you can still order the item. I’ve never been told it was discontinued. 🤷🏻♀️

I remember, at one time awhile back, at McD, the double cheeseburger was cheaper than the double hamburger. My daughter went through a phase where she did not want cheese on her burgers. So, we would order a double cheeseburger, no cheese.

I'm sure a few locations may still have what this video is referring to, maybe. However, I've been through multiple states (California, Utah, Arizona, Montana, Nevada) and their Taco Bells and they simply don't. The Taco Bell I work at doesn't either. Black olives aren't on the menu (we don't carry them, at all) and the smothered burrito got discontinued a few years ago. There is no option to smother items in red sauce. At least my location refuses to do it. I think the enchirito hack is just going to confuse people and cause Taco Bell a headache.

I tried to order an encherito at the Taco Bell on Dorsett Rd in Maryland Hgts MO a week ago. They said , sorry we don't make that. I won't ever go back. I pass them up 500 yards for LA Taco.
We are told by the higher ups that we CAN NOT make that item any more. So just dont be mad at the employees.

I dont know. Just a few weeks ago, we had a menu overhaul. Combos changed, and more items were taken away. Double decker tacos and grilled stuffed burritos are now gone too. Im guessing they've been working towards simplifying the menu, but we have a few people who were quite upset. I had one lady who just couldnt understand why i didnt have the grilled stuffed burrito, or could just make it. Its not on my screen, and if i tried to modify something to that extent, its gonna cost like $9. And I've been told I'm not allowed to do that. Just doing my job.🤷♀️

Yes. In the late 70's the name changed to the Bell Beefer. It was discontinued in mid 1990's. It was & still is my favorite Taco Bell item ever
