Centuries into the future, accents will have evolved such that they sound like strange, messy mixes of accents to our ears, so I'll let the Mass Effect ones slide. Not to mention the automatic translation of alien languages via the Omnitool into some sort of Citadel standard language should mean that no one has determinable accents... But the ones set in actual, modern, real-life locations are pretty unacceptable. I blame the trend of hiring big-name Hollywood actors for their star power instead of legitimate voice actors, but then that's not always the problem...
Tomb Raider is an amazing game, for me it's clearly the best of 2013. For the other games in this video, well, those accents are terrible ... btw congrats outside xbox for the videos and congrats Jane, love you :D
The wizard Farengar is supposed to be a Breton - it's a sort of major character point for him. Most of the Nords stick pretty close to that thick "I'm a heavy metal musician from Finnland" accent.
Yeah, the real problem with Farengar is not the accent but rather the completely wooden delivery of some of his lines. Given the deliveries that made it into the game I'd love to hear the ones that got cut, they'd be comedy gold.
Andy, if Rocky IV has taught me anything, it's that if you want to turn Jane into the ultimate badass she needs to grow a beard, chop logs and carry them through waist high snow. As long as as the tombs you're raiding are full of 7 foot genetically modified Russians, you're set.
As a Dutch person, I was appaled by the "Dutch" accents in Brothers in Arms: Hell's Highway. And pretty much any other game featuring supposedly Dutch people really...

well if you play the Game with Lara, she actually tried to have a peace talk with the goons but it didn't work so what do you expect her to do? wait for them to shoot her? instead she will do it first before they can do so that's why she become like that :D
