As a Villa fan and Celtic fan it was a pure joy to watch the game and witness the occasion. Celtic can be proud of their efforts! Up the celts & the villa.
I think celtic did very last night,. Considering they were missing a couple of there strong players,. The 4th goal was very needless . However I believe if it were over two legs Celtic would definitely get revenge,. Great game to watch👌🏼

@@keiranallan5367 The real problem, Rodgers has no idea about defensive football. Players have no idea of what their individual roles are, they're group roles e.g. (midfield) and their team roles. So please translate for us this style? Johnston not knowing how to defend a 1 - 2 pass goal #1 and the unmarked Rogers in our box. How or what was Scales doing two thirds up the field challenging a Villa player that subsequently led to goal #3. Where was our #6? And just to finalize 'WORKS' Rogers mentioned several weeks ago that his team in attack play the ball from side to side. He called this tactic 'Changing the Point of Attack'. Not true, not even close. You need to go look at highlights of a player named Juan S. Veron (Argentina). Veron could make a pass (pinging a pass 50 yards) from a defensive position going right to left or vice versa. This is 'Changing the point of Attack'! I also find the treatment of Alex Valle by Rodgers to be in the extreme. Rodgers messed with that kid's head.

You know as the hours have passed, I am really sad about Valle leaving, what a future, he's a baller and everyone will know his name! Might get pelters but would you rather buy Valle now or buy Tierney later? He already looks like a pro, just like Kieran, a gentleman, a clean player who respects the game and the challenge, the club and the shirt.
Happy for Idah however he must try and build on this.
Only recently we were talking of having two quality players for every position , WHERE are they ?
We have to remember we had no Ccv , no Kyogo or Maeda and no Valle to change up at left back.
But sticking with Yang for so long and bringing on Murray over Nawroki was madness and almost like Rodgers was trying to make a point about something.
The midfield which is meant to be our best bit of the team constantly gets casught out against better teams

It is a comments section Kevin. This is what's it's all about. Supporters giving their views on our performance/players/manager ect. Just because you're happy with what you seen last night doesn't mean the vast majority of fans are. I think an honest assessment of some of those players is that are just not up to the next level. Overall I don't think there is that much to rejoice about. A minus goal difference means we've ended up the worst draw possible and there's a real possibility of a doing coming our way. That'll mean, regardless of the format, failing to make the last 16 yet again. I'm not sure that qualifies as progress.

We got back on level terms, we're finding our stride and half time comes. 15 minutes later we look like amateurs and it's all backwards and sideways again after 15 minutes with BR.

As anticipated, how our dreadful backline cope with their front 4 will prevent the scoreline reflecting a cricket one, and had it not been for a goal-line clearance, a missed pen and 2 sitters, then yeah - it would very much have resembled one. 4-2 going on 6/7/8…easy!
With the match finely poised at 2-2 against the free-flowing Villa using attacking overloads time and again, the fact elite Rodgers thought it was an ingenious idea to bring the defensive line forward 20 yards to resemble his domestic possession-based playing style up against a low-block, sums the clown up to a tee! In-game management and situational awareness of a bloody Scottish League One manager more like!
