Btw a lemsip is a hot drink with a little bit of paracetmol usually lemon flavor you usually get it when your a kid and have the flu tastes like shit id rather chew a tablet and oh yeah the Birmingham 6 were a bunch of people falsely convicted and imprisoned for an ira bombing campaign and it came out years later there was no evidence to prove it but loads to prove they were innocent that the police kept secret on purpose
The guy who played the silent second burglar was a stuntman called Tip Tipping. He was in all sorts at the time, including Aliens. Unfortunately he died not long after this, while filming a parachute stunt for TV.
After the next episode, the final two episodes of this season (Holy and 'S Out) are so damn good! Holy also has an extended version which is worth seeking out if you can; only five minutes longer but it's well worth it for the extra parts. So glad you're enjoying Bottom still!
It's a shame that you weren't about in the UK in the 80s, because filthy rich and catflap is in my opinion the best they ever did, but most of the jokes you won't get, but it's just as mental as bottom, and so so worth a watch.
The line about "Good job on the Birmingham 6" is in reference to an inquiry that was answered shortly before this episode aired. The 6 men were falsely arrested simply for being Irish during the time of the Irish Republican Army (IRA) were bombing pubs. They were beaten, tortured and coerced to confess to the crimes by the police. They were handed down 21 life sentences each until it was overturned 25yrs later.
@@AfterWorkReactions we had a few high profile cases around the same time known as the Guildford 4 and the Maguire 7 with exactly the same circumstances.
They wasn’t arrested simply for being “Irish”,they were arrested (5 of them) on the way to Belfast to attend the funeral of an IRA member they all knew who had blown himself up trying to plant a bomb in Coventry that would no doubt have killed scores of people. The men who did plant the bombs in Birmingham killed 21 people and maimed 182 more innocent people. So let’s not kid ourselves these 6 were sweet and innocent people themselves or gloss over what the IRA scum were doing at the time.
I know you did these reaction a while back i just wanna say im so glad you enjoy this show and these two geniuses. They are absolutely legends in the uk. Growing up they've had a huge impact on my life. And still do till this day. Have you seen their movie ?? Anyway glad you enjoy it 😊 RIP Rick 🙏 🕊
I've always wondered what Americans might make of British comedy, as do many British people, this channel is badly needed to cross the cultural divide lol
Apology's for the correction, it's a cricket bat, 3 great episodes of Season 2 to go 'Parade', 'S Out' and 'Holy'... Great reaction, keep 'em coming...
Hey mate, bit off the record but I just watched your latest Father Ted reaction there, brilliant as always! However, I advise against watching Dougal’s best bits, riddled with spoilers! He’s a brilliant character, one of the best on tv, and just about everything he says is comedy gold, so you’re better off carrying on without his best bits 👌🏻
Hi josh as you like Bottom you will love the BBC comedy GIMMEE GIMMEE GIMMEE 2 flatmates he's gay and she thinks she's drop dead gorgeous give it a try guarantee you will like it
Whenever they mention a random crush like “Sue Carpenter”, its always some now obscure tv presenter from the 80s. I grew up in the 90s in UK and never know who any of the women they reference are, so you’re not missing much context-wise. I’d imagine most fans of this show in their 20s and 30s don’t know most of those references.
@@AfterWorkReactions it will really help before you watch season 3 of Father Ted to watch at least one before hand. Plus the theme song for one foot in the grave is sung by Eric Idle of Month Python.

Bottom is absolute shit !! No offence...tired slapstick rubbish..."This Country" is a great mockumentary comedy...please review this I've subscribed in the hope you might lol

I'd like to see reaction to episodes of this show! one of my favs. 👍
It’s so great watching an American reacting to our comedy . So glad you like it :) ! Love your vids !
I love how utterly raging Richie is when Eddie comes in. He’s shaking with faux anger 😂
The burglar was my science teacher Mr Bradley’s brother ! Played Nigel in eastenders too
Gas Man from Season 1 was one of the funniest things I had ever seen back in 1991. Rik and Ade for me were one of comedies greatest duos.
Agreed. Up there with Laurel and Hardy in my oh so humble opinion.
