- This transfer case is out of a 2005 Toyota Sienna, it ran out of grease and seized up, because it was seized, they were able to drive the car to my shop. Normally without the drive shaft installed, the car will not move or have park, remember to have the level checked when the car is in for service. Sorry forgot to put a title on the video, been crazy at the shop, going in 7 days. Enjoy and thanks for watching
Thank you for this video to help me to fix my 2003 rav4 transfer case recently, this is the only video I could find over youtube for rav4 all wheel drive transfer case believe of not. thanks again :)
Thanks, this helps me understand my 2008 Sienna AWD tagger case (which ran dry and needs work)
Love man for this video made my day thank you so much 🙏🙏🙏🙏💯💯💯💯
Good video. Always was curious how these worked
Excellent video, could you tell me the proper name for the seal that goes on the end the extension housing where the driveshafts connects to the transfer case. 6:57 in the video. Can that be changed without removing the case from the car? I have a slow drip coming out that seal or is it leaking from another seal?
Did you ever figure out the answer to your question? I am curious what that seal is called and if you can replace it without removing the transfer case?
Nice info thanks Gary.
Thank you
Great info Gary! you need a HD camera but..
Thanks for watching
To the end of the video, you were able to replace all the seals on the transfer case?
I want to do this for my transfer case on 2004 Toyota Rav4 Automatic. Car shifts fine but I have fluid leak that look like a mixture of Automatic transmission fluid and transfer case.
Thanks. I was looking for the fluid drain plug
Great video. Can you give us the bearing part numbers needed?
Excelentes vídeos,,,,podrán algún dia poner subtítulos, gracias
Would you recommend that when doing transmission seal replacement at the junction between the transmission and transfer case, we replace all of the seals of the transfer case too because of the task of taking out the transfer case
Yes, i would do the same
So transfer case is really a misnomer. It’s simply a gearbox to drive the rear prop shaft.
Is there a differential in the transmission for the rear axle? Or is clutch controlled?
yes there is a diff inside the trans, the transfer case splines into the diff
@@GaryFerraro thanks for responding to this old video. I have a 13 RXD which drives and feels like a differential to the rear. Much smoother than the Ford Escape which uses a clutch pack to drive the rear.
Is there a way I can talk to you through email or something because I’d like to ask you a question that includes an image which I can’t attach in comments
I have an oil leak between the transfer case and the transmission of 2004 Toyota Rav4. The fluid looks like it's from the transmission.
Ok graciasseguire viendo tus vídeos

Hai...Sir...can u share the video how u removal totally transfer case this..
I do not have a video on that, sorry
Is it possible for oil from this transfer case to mix up with the automatic transmission fluid and vice versa? What could account for this?
I would say yes, i see that on other vehicles, usually due to a bad seal
Well noted. Thank you.
Does the transfer case has a vent or a breather? where is it?
yes they have vents and they are normally on the top
thanks, i'm going to look for them.
Was there a flat bearing behind the output shaft nut or was the bearing cone shaped?
I believe cone shape
@@GaryFerraro Thanks
looks simar to rx300 transfer case
There is how u convert the transmission to only front weel.and abandon or remove the front diffirential competly, the prepelar, and the back axile, the car will be only front weel and the car will run parfetly well..i can do it
