Such a bad interviewer. I've noticed Alan is always nice and polite to the ladies, even when they're being ditzy and cringey. It's clueless male interviewers he usually has a problem with. We all remember that disastrous interview with the Canadian blonde mullet guy lol.

Jesus they really had some of the most idiotic people interviewing them back then. Kudos to Alan for his diplomacy.

Fun to watch, I think she did fine. Obviously there was a cultural and language difference but in some ways that makes the questions and answers more real in a way if you can read between the lines.

Thanks for submitting this. Alan is so cool about her ludicrous questions. Thanks for the laugh.

I KNOW. She's terribly rude. I applaud Alan for even trying to give thoughtful answers to this airhead. He's very capable of taking the piss and could have here, but he was a gentleman. I mean geez, "Tell us where you were born-and what you're famous for!" *groans* Alan laughed, maybe because this chick is so unapologetically clueless. I mean does she KNOW who she's sitting next to?! So close too, enough to touch him. I'm sorry, I always get jealous when I watch this :D

I'll take your word that the journalist was clueless, I didn't pay attention--all I did was just stare at Alan. Fantastic for uploading this. Such a rare gem.

Dang why’s the footage so bad 😂😂 I know it’s the 80s but I’d expect a bit better quality at least....did they film this shit with the world’s first camera??

I know he was sexy back then. Sigh. Alan I’m 31. I learned about DM when I was 10. The fun we might have had if I found you in London and we got serious. 💕🇬🇧💯

Agreed. The journalist really sounds like she needs to go back to school and retake journalism 101 or something to that effect. Nervousness over being that close to such an awesomely talented superstar is one thing but cluelessness is another.
